Intensified warming suppressed the snowmelt in the Tibetan Plateau

Understanding how hydrological factors interrelate is crucial when examining the impact of climate warming on ***,these connections are often overlooked,leading to an unclear relationship between temperature and *** study investigates the complex interplay between temperature and snowmelt in the Tibetan Plateau from 1961 to 2020,focusing on how extreme high-temperature events affect the frequency of extreme *** a structural equation model,we detected three temperature-related factors that predominantly influenced snowmelt and extreme *** annual average temperature was found to have a significant indirect impact on snowmelt,mediated by changes in snowfall,snow depth and snow *** contrast,high-temperature days(daily maximum temperatures exceeding the 90th percentile)and heat waves(at least three consecutive high-temperature days)negatively affected extreme snowmelt directly or *** direct effect of increasing extreme temperature events was associated with an earlier onset of high-temperature periods,which accelerated snowmelt and shortened the duration of extreme snowmelt ***,the reduction in snow cover owing to warming emerged as a main factor suppressing snowmelt and extreme snowmelt *** also revealed spatiotemporal variations in the temperature‒snowmelt relationship that highly depended on changes in snowmelt *** study elucidated why warming suppresses snowmelt and extreme snowmelt events in the Tibetan Plateau,highlighting the mediating roles of snow-related and phenological *** findings will provide scientific support for climate simulation and water management policymaking in alpine regions worldwide.

This paper focuses on the problems encountered in the production process of electronic-grade polycrystalline *** points out that the characterization of electronic-grade polycrystalline silicon is mainly concentrated at the macroscopic scale,with relatively less research at the mesoscopic and microscopic ***,we utilize the method of physical polishing to obtain polysilicon characterization samples and then the paper utilizes metallographic microscopy,scanning electron microscopy-electron backscatter diffraction technology,and aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy technology to observe and characterize the interface region between silicon core and matrix in the deposition process of electronic-grade polycrystalline silicon,providing a full-scale characterization of the interface morphology,grain structure,and orientation distribution from macro to ***,the paper illustrates the current uncertainties regarding polycrystalline silicon.

Large-size electronic-grade polycrystalline silicon is an important material in the semiconductor industry with broad application ***,electronic-grade polycrystalline silicon has extremely high requirements for production technology and currently faces challenges such as carbon impurity breakdown,microstructure and composition nonuniformity and a lack of methods for preparing large-size mirror-like polycrystalline silicon *** paper innovatively uses physical methods such as wire cutting,mechanical grinding and ion thinning polishing to prepare large-size polycrystalline silicon samples that are clean,smooth,free from wear and have clear crystal *** material was characterized at both macroscopic and microscopic levels using metallographic microscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)with backscattered electron diffraction(EBSD)techniques and scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM).The crystal structure changes from single crystal silicon core to the surface of the bulk in the large-size polycrystalline silicon samples were revealed,providing a technical basis for optimizing and improving production processes.

An efficient data-driven global sensitivity analysis method of shale gas production through convolutional neural network

The shale gas development process is complex in terms of its flow mechanisms and the accuracy of the production forecasting is influenced by geological parameters and engineering parameters. Therefore, to quantitatively evaluate the relative importance of model parameters on the production forecasting performance, sensitivity analysis of parameters is required. The parameters are ranked according to the sensitivity coefficients for the subsequent optimization scheme design. A data-driven global sensitivity analysis(GSA) method using convolutional neural networks(CNN) is proposed to identify the influencing parameters in shale gas production. The CNN is trained on a large dataset, validated against numerical simulations, and utilized as a surrogate model for efficient sensitivity analysis. Our approach integrates CNN with the Sobol' global sensitivity analysis method, presenting three key scenarios for sensitivity analysis: analysis of the production stage as a whole, analysis by fixed time intervals, and analysis by declining rate. The findings underscore the predominant influence of reservoir thickness and well length on shale gas production. Furthermore, the temporal sensitivity analysis reveals the dynamic shifts in parameter importance across the distinct production stages.

BACKGROUND Malignant obstructive jaundice(MOJ)is a condition characterized by varying degrees of bile duct stenosis and obstruction,accompanied by the progressive development of malignant tumors,leading to high morbidity and mortality ***,the two most commonly employed methods for its management are percutaneous transhepatic bile duct drainage(PTBD)and endoscopic ultrasound-guided biliary drainage(EUS-BD).While both methods have demonstrated favorable outcomes,additional research needs to be performed to determine their relative *** compare the therapeutic effectiveness of EUS-BD and PTBD in treating *** This retrospective analysis,conducted between September 2015 and April 2023 at The Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University(The First People’s Hospital of Changzhou),involved 68 patients with *** patients were divided into two groups on the basis of surgical procedure received:EUS-BD subgroup(n=33)and PTBD subgroup(n=35).Variables such as general data,preoperative and postoperative indices,blood routine,liver function indices,myocardial function indices,operative success rate,clinical effectiveness,and complication rate were analyzed and compared between the *** In the EUS-BD subgroup,hospital stay duration,bile drainage volume,effective catheter time,and clinical effect-iveness rate were superior to those in the PTBD subgroup,although the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The puncture time for the EUS-BD subgroup was shorter than that for the PTBD subgroup(P<0.05).Postoperative blood routine,liver function index,and myocardial function index in the EUS-BD subgroup were significantly lower than those in the PTBD subgroup(P<0.05).Additionally,the complication rate in the EUS-BD subgroup was lower than in the PTBD subgroup(P<0.05).CONCLUSION EUS-BD may reduce the number of punctures,improve liver and myocardial functions,alleviate traumatic stress,and decrease complication rates in MOJ treatment

Anther dehiscence is a crucial event in plant reproduction,tightly regulated and dependent on the lignification of the anther *** this study,we investigated the rapid lignification process that ensures timely anther dehiscence in *** findings reveal that endothecium lignification can be divided into two distinct *** Phase Ⅰ,lignin precursors are synthesized without polymerization,while Phase Ⅱ involves simultaneous synthesis of lignin precursors and *** transcription factors MYB26,NST1/2,and ARF17 specifically regulate the pathway responsible for the synthesis and polymerization of lignin monomers in Phase Ⅱ.MYB26-NST1/2 is the key regulatory pathway responsible for endothecium lignification,while ARF17 facilitates this process by interacting with ***,our results demonstrate that the lignification of the endothecium,which occurs within approximately 26 h,is much faster than that of the vascular *** findings provide valuable insights into the regulation mechanism of rapid lignification in the endothecium,which enables timely anther dehiscence and successful pollen release during plant reproduction.

The stance and factors of international organizations towards countries from a Chinese perspective

The degree and scope of constraints imposed by International Organizations(IOs)on States are increasing,and identifying the factors affecting the IOs’stances on States is helpful to enhance the state's discourse power and influence in the international ***,by coding the records of Regular Press Conferences of the Speaking Office of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the period of 20182022,we obtained a dataset of IOs’stances on China-related ***,we constructed political relation,economic relation,and humanistic relation indicators to complement the influence factors,adopted the Bayesian logit model,and applied the Monte Carlo Markov chain algorithm and Gibbs sampling to analyze the probability of IOs’positive stances towards *** result shows that IOs’category,length of establishment,functional position,and relationship with China are all related to their tendency of making a statement about *** terms of the heterogeneity of event types,forum-type IOs are significantly inclined to give positive assessment compared to service-type IOs on events focusing on China's own *** analysis reveals that the model for analyzing and predicting the attitudes of IOs is more effective when the international situation is in a stable period.

Price Mechanism,Government Constraints and Carbon Trading Pilot Policy for Emission Reduction

Based on the data of 247 cities at the prefecture level in China from 2007 to 2019,this paper analyzes the impact of the carbon emissions trading(CET)pilot policy on carbon emission reduction from the perspective of the price mechanism and government *** results show that the carbon emissions and carbon intensity in the pilot areas are significantly reduced by adjusting the industrial structure and promoting green technology *** terms of regions,the emission reduction effect of the pilot policy in regions with a high proportion of industry is obviously weaker than that in other *** aim of the carbon emission trading policy in China that achieve carbon emission reduction is by coordinating the carbon emission trading price that fail to fulfill this aim independently and the degree of government punishment for enterprises.
