Membrane fouling is always the biggest problem in the practice of membrane separation technologies,which strongly impacts their applicability,separation efficiency,cost effectiveness,and service ***,a simple but effective 3D modification approach was designed for permanently functionalizing polymeric membranes by directly cross-linking polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)under gamma-ray irradiation at room temperature without any *** the modification,a PVA layer was constructed on the membrane surface and the pore inner surface of polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)*** endowed them with good hydrophilicity,low adsorption of protein model foulants,and easy recoverability *** addition,the pore size and distribution were customized by controlling the PVA concentration,which enhanced the rejection ability of the resultant membranes and converted them from microfiltration to *** crosslinked PVA layer was equipped with the resultant membranes with good resistance to chemical cleaning by acidic,alkaline,and oxidative reagents,which could greatly prolong the membrane service ***,this approach was demonstrated as a universal method to modify PVDF membranes with other hydrophilic macromolecular modifiers,including polyethylene glycol,sodium alginate,and polyvinyl *** modification of the membranes effectively endowed them with good hydrophilicity and antifouling properties,as expected.

Ionizing radiation is a promising method for dye degradation or textile coloration using commercial azo dyes and small molecular weight organic dyes. Thus, the stability of the molecular structure of an azo dye is important under ionizing radiation. Disperse Blue 79, as an example azo dyes, was irradiated with gamma rays or electron beam (EB) to investigate the radiation-induced effects on the molecular structure. Ultraviolet visible spectroscopy (UV Vis), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra analysis, and mass spectrometry (MS) studies indicated that acetoxy and methoxyl were easily cleaved on the irradiation of the aqueous dye solution but retained a stable structure on the irradiation of the powder form. Gamma rays and EB showed similar effects on the decomposition process. In this work,we show significantly enhanced thermoelectric performance in Cu_(2) SnSe_(3) via a synergistic effect of Cd-doping and CuGaTe_(2) alloying in the temperature range of 300-823 *** the electron and phonon transport properties can be simultaneously regulated by Cd doping at Sn site,leading to a higher quality ***,a maximum figure of merit(zT) value of ~0.68 was obtained for Cu_(2) Sn_(0.93)Cd_(0.07)Se_(3) sample at823 K,which is about four times higher than that of the pristine sample(zT=0.18 at 773 K).Furthermore,Cu_(2) Sn_(0.93)Cd_(0.07)Se_(3) was alloyed with CuGaTe_(2) to reduce the lattice thermal conductivity in the high-temperature ***,a further enhanced zT value(0.77,823 K) was achieved in the(Cu_(2) Sn_(0.93)Cd_(0.07)Se_(3))_(0.94)(CuGaTe_(2))_(0.06) sample,with a high average zT(zT_(ave)) value of0.30 between 300 and 823 *** results demonstrate that Cd-doping combined with CuGaTe2 alloying could be an effective method to enhance zT values of Cu_(2) SnSe_(3) based compounds.

Purpose The Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope is China’s first X-ray astronomy satellite launched on June 15,2017,dubbed *** and passive thermal control measures are employed to keep devices at suitable *** this paper,we analyzed the on-orbit thermal monitoring data of the first 5 years and investigated the effect of thermal deformation on the point spread function(PSF)of the *** We examined the data of the on-orbit temperatures measured using 157 thermistors placed on the collimators,detectors and their support structures and compared the results with the thermal control *** thermal deformation was evaluated by the relative orientation of the two star sensors installed on the main support *** effect was estimated with evolution of the PSF obtained with calibration scanning observations of the Crab *** The on-orbit temperatures met the thermal control requirements thus far,and the effect of thermal deformation on the PSF was negligible after the on-orbit pointing calibration.

With the advancement in X-ray astronomical detection technology,various celestial polarization detection projects have been *** meet the calibration requirements of polarimeters on the ground,a polarized X-ray radiation facility was designed for this *** design was based on the principle that X-rays incident at 45°on a crystal produce polarized X-rays,and a second crystal was used to measure the polarization of the X-rays produced by the facility after *** effects of different diaphragm sizes on the degree of polarization were compared,and the facility produced X-rays with polarization degrees of up to 99.55±0.96%using liF200 and liF220 *** result revealed that the polarization of incident X-rays is one of the factors affecting the diffraction efficiency of *** replacement of different crystals can satisfy the calibration requirements of polarized X-ray detectors with more energy points in the energy range(4-10)*** the future,the facility should be placed in a vacuum environment to meet the calibration requirements at lower energies.

In order to investigate the characteristics and mechanisms of subthreshold voltage hysteresis(ΔV_(th,sub)) of 4 H-SiC metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors(MOSFETs),4 H-SiC planar and trench MOSFETs and corresponding P-type planar and trench metal-oxide-semiconductor(MOS) capacitors are fabricated and *** with planar MOSFEF,the trench MOSFET shows hardly larger ΔV_(th,sub) in wide temperature range from 25 0 C to 300 0 *** operating temperature range is from 25 ℃ to 300 ℃,the off-state negative V_(gs) of planar and trench MOSFETs should be safely above-4 V and-2 V,respectively,to alleviate the effect of ΔV_(th,sub) on the normal *** the help of P-type planar and trench MOS capacitors,it is confirmed that the obvious ΔV_(th,sub) of 4 H-SiC MOSFET originates from the high density of the hole interface traps between intrinsic Fermi energy level(E_(i)) and valence band(E_(v)).The maximumΔV_(th,sub) of trench MOSFET is about twelve times larger than that of planar MOSFET,owing to higher density of interface states(D_(it)) between E_(i) and E_(v).These research results will be very helpful for the application of 4 H-SiC MOSFET and the improvement of ΔV_(th,sub) of 4 H-SiC MOSFET,especially in 4 H-SiC trench MOSFET.

Activation and reconstruction of the spinal cord circuitry is important for improving motor function following spinal cord *** conducted a case series study to investigate motor function improvement in 14 patients with chronic spinal cord injury treated with 4 weeks of unilateral(right only)cortical intermittent theta burst stimulation combined with bilateral magnetic stimulation of L3-L4 nerve roots,five times a *** resting motor evoked potential amplitude was increased,central motor conduction time on the side receiving cortical stimulation was significantly decreased,and lower extremity motor score,Berg balance score,spinal cord independence measure-III score,and 10 m-walking speed were all increased after *** resting motor evoked potential amplitude was positively correlated with lower extremity motor score after 4 weeks of *** findings suggest that cortical intermittent theta burst stimulation combined with precise root stimulation can improve nerve conduction of the corticospinal tract and lower limb motor function recovery in patients with chronic spinal cord injury.
