In this study,a numerical method was developed based on peridynamics to determine the ice loads for a ship navigating in level *** analysis of threedimensional ice specimen with tensile and compression loading are carried out *** effects of ice thickness,sailing speed,and ice properties on the mean ice loads were also *** is observed that the ice fragments resulting from the icebreaking process will interact with one another as well as with the water and ship *** ice fragments may rotate,collide,or slide along the ship hull,and these ice fragments will eventually drift away from the *** key characteristics of the icebreaking process can be obtained using the peridynamic model such as the dynamic generation of cracks in the ice sheet,propagation and accumulation of ice fragments,as well as collision,rotation,and sliding of the ice fragments along the ship *** simulation results obtained for the ice loads and icebreaking process were validated against those determined from the Lindqvist empirical formula and there is good agreement between the results.

Tumor suppressor p53 is the most frequently mutated gene in human tumors. Meanwhile, under stress conditions, p53 also acts as a transcription factor, regulating the expression of a series of target genes to maintain the integrity of genome. The target genes of p53 can be classified into genes regulating cell cycle arrest, genes involved in apoptosis, and genes inhibiting angiogenesis, p53 protein contains a transactivation domain, a sequence-specific DNA binding domain, a tetramerization domain, a non-specific DNA binding domain that recognizes damaged DNA, and a later identified proline-rich domain. Under stress, p53 proteins accumulate and are activated through two mechanisms. One, involving ataxia telangiectasia-mutated protein （ATM）, is that the interaction between p53 and its down-regulation factor murine double minute 2 （MDM2） decreases, leading to p53 phosphorylation on Serl 5, as determined by the post-translational mechanism; the other holds that p53 increases and is activated through the binding of ribosomal protein L26 （RPL26） or nucleolin to p53 mRNA 5＇ untranslated region （UTR）, regulating p53 translation. Under hypoxia, p53 decreases transactivation and increases transrepression. The mutations outside the DNA binding domain of p53 also contribute to tumor progress, so further studies on p53 should also be focused on this direction. The subter- ranean blind mole rat Spalax in Israel is a good model for hypoxia-adaptation. The p53 of Spalax mutated in residue 172 and residue 207 from arginine to lysine, conferring it the ability to survive hypoxic conditions. This model indicates that p53 acts as a master gene of diversity formation during evolution.

An observational analysis of the structures and characteristics of a windy atmospheric boundary layer during a cold air outbreak in the South China Sea region is reported in this paper. It is found that the main structures and characteristics are the same as during strong wind episodes with cold air outbreaks on land. The high frequency turbulent fluctuations （period 〈 1 min） are nearly random and isotropic with weak coherency, but the gusty wind disturbances （1 rain〈period 〈 10 min） are anisotropic with rather strong coherency. However, in the windy atmospheric boundary layer at sea, compared with that over land, there are some pronounced differences：（1） the average horizontal speed is almost independent of height, and the vertical velocity is positive in the lower marine atmospheric boundary layer; （2） the vertical flux of horizontal momentum is nearly independent of height in the low layer indicating the existence of a constant flux layer, unlike during strong wind over the land surface; （3） the kinetic energy and friction velocity of turbulent fluctuations are larger than those of gusty disturbances; （4） due to the independence of horizontal speed to height, the horizontal speed itself （not its vertical gradient used over the land surface） can be used as the key parameter to parameterize the turbulent and gusty characteristics with high accuracy.

AIM： To study the appearances of acute interstitial edematous pancreatitis （IEP） on non-enhanced MR imaging. METHODS： A total of 53 patients with IEP diagnosed by clinical features and laboratory findings were underwent MR imaging. MR imaging sequences included fast spoiled gradient echo （FSPGR） fat saturation axial T1-weighted imaging, gradient echo T1-weighted （in phase）, single shot fast spin echo （SSFSE） T2-weighted, respiratory triggered （R-T） T2-weighted with fat saturation, and MR cholangiopancreatography. Using the MR severity score index, pancreatitis was graded as mild （0-2 points）, moderate （3-6 points） and severe （7-10 points）. RESULTS： Among the 53 patients, IEP was graded as mild in 37 patients and as moderate in 16 patients. Forty-seven of 53 （89%） patients had at least one abnormality on MR images. Pancreas was hypointense relative to liver on FSPGR T1-weighted images in 18.9% of patients, and hyperintense in 25% and 30% on SSFSE T2-weighted and R-T T2-weighted images, respectively. The prevalences of the findings of IEP on R-T T2-weighted images were, respectively, 85% for pancreatic fascial plane, 77% for left renal fascial plane, 55% for peripancreatic fat stranding, 42% for right renal fascial plane, 45% for perivascular fluid, 40% for thickened pancreatic Iobular septum and 25% for peripancreatic fluid, which were markedly higher than those on in-phase or SSFSE T2-weighted images （P 〈 0.001）. CONCLUSION： IEP primarily manifests on non- enhanced MR images as thickened pancreatic fascial plane, left renal fascial plane, peripancreatic fat stranding, and peripancreatic fluid. R-T T2-weighted imaging is more sensitive than in-phase and SSFSE T2- weighted imaging for depicting IER

It is urgent to explore an effective removal method for perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)due to its recalcitrant *** this study,a novel chitosan-based hydrogel(CEGH)was prepared with a simple method using chitosan and ethylene glycol through a repeated freezingthawing *** adsorption of PFOA anions to CEGH agreed well to the FreundlichLangmuir model with a maximum adsorption capacity as high as 1275.9 mg/g,which is higher than reported values of most adsorbents for *** adsorption was influenced by experimental *** results showed that the main removal mechanism was the ionic hydrogen bond interaction between carbonyl groups(COO-)of PFOA and protonated amine(NH^+)of the CEGH ***,CEGH is a very attractive adsorbent that can be used to remove PFOA from water in the future.

As a major function of smart transportation in smart cities,vehicle model recognition plays an important role in intelligent *** to the difference among different vehicle models recognition datasets,the accuracy of network model training in one scene will be greatly reduced in another ***,if you don’t have a lot of vehicle model datasets for the current scene,you cannot properly train a *** address this problem,we study the problem of cold start of vehicle model recognition under *** the condition of small amount of datasets,combined with the method of transfer learning,load the DAN(Deep Adaptation Networks)and JAN(Joint Adaptation Networks)domain adaptation modules into the convolutional neural network AlexNet and ResNet,and get four models:AlexNet-JAN,AlexNet-DAN,ResNet-JAN,and ResNet-DAN which can achieve a higher accuracy at the *** experiments,transfer the vehicle model recognition from the network image dataset(source domain)to the surveillance-nature dataset(target domain),both Top-1 and Top-5 accuracy have been improved by at least 20%.

In the present study, In order to systematically dissect the genetic mechanism of rice （Oryza satlva L.） tilling for the super rice ideotype and the model system of branching development, two ethyl methane suifonate-induced rice reduced-culm-number（rcn） mutants from the progeny of Nippobare （O. satlva ssp. japonica）, namely rcn8 and rcn9, were used. Their maximum tillers were both less than 4. in addition, rcn9 had another major feature of rust-spotted leaves. Allelic tests between these two mutants and seven other recessive few-tiller mutants revealed that they were previously unknown loci. Genetic analysis showed that the rcn traits were all controlled by a pair of different recessive genes, designated as RCN8and RCNg, respectively. Two F2 populations derived from crosses between the rcn8 or rcn9 mutants and 93-11 were constructed. Linkage analysis using two rcn F2 mapping populations with published simple sequence repeat markers demonstrated that the RCN8 and RCN9 genes were mapped on the long arm of chromosome 1 （119.6 cM） and the short arm of chromosome 6 （63.6 cM）, respectively. The results of the present study are beneficial to map-based cloning and functional analysis of the RCN8 and RCN9 genes.
