The polarization selection rule of Raman scattering is crucial in symmetry analysis of elementary excitations in semiconductors and correlated electron *** we reported the observation of breakdown of Raman selection rules in few-layer WS_(2) by using resonant Raman *** the excitation energy is close to the dark A exciton state,we observed some infrared active modes and backscattering forbidden ***,we found that all observed phonon modes follow the same paralleled-polarization *** to the electron-phonon coupling near the band edge in WS_(2),we proposed a theoretical model based on the intraband Frohlich *** this case,the polarization response of the scattering signal is no longer determined by the original Raman tensor of scattered ***,it is determined by a new isotropic Raman tensor that generated from this intraband Frohlich interaction between dark A exciton and *** found that this theoretical model is in excellent agreement with the observed *** breakdown of Raman selection rules can violate the conventional limitations of the optical response and provide an effective method to control the polarization of Raman scattering signals in two-dimensional materials.

Photon-lattice(phonon)coupling is fundamental to light-matter interaction,particularly when it reaches the quantum limit of the phonon-coupled single-photon emission,which holds great potential for quantum manipulation and quantum information ***,we report single defect state-phonon coupling in hexagonal boron nitride(h BN)at room *** ultrabroad spectrum of single-photon emissions can be achieved by selecting the excitation *** photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy,we observe single-phonon-assisted resonance-enhanced single-photon emission,along with multiple phonon replicas that herald the creation of phonon Fock *** also develop a transition model to gain insight into the physical process behind the single defect state-phonon *** work sets the stage for manipulating electron-phonon coupling state with single quantum-level precision at room temperature.

Photoreflectance(PR)spectroscopy is a powerful and non-destructive experimental technique to explore interband transitions of *** most PR systems,the photon energy of the pumping beam is usually chosen to be higher than the bandgap energy of the *** the best of our knowledge,the highest energy of pumping laser in reported PR systems is 5.08 eV(244 nm),not yet in the vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)*** this work,we report the design and construction of a PR system pumped by VUV laser of 7.0 eV(177.3 nm).At the same time,dual-modulated technique is applied and a dual channel lock-in-amplifier is integrated into the system for efficient PR *** system’s performance is verified by the PR spectroscopy measurement of well-studied semiconductors,which testifies its ability to probe critical-point energies of the electronic band in semiconductors from ultraviolet to near-infrared spectral region.

The intricate hierarchical structure of musculoskeletal tissues,including bone and interface tissues,necessitates the use of complex scaffold designs and material structures to serve as tissue-engineered *** has led to growing interest in the development of gradient bone scaffolds with hierarchical structures mimicking the extracellular matrix of native tissues to achieve improved therapeutic *** on the anatomical characteristics of bone and interfacial tissues,this review provides a summary of current strategies used to design and fabricate biomimetic gradient scaffolds for repairing musculoskeletal tissues,specifically focusing on methods used to construct compositional and structural gradients within the *** latest applications of gradient scaffolds for the regeneration of bone,osteochondral,and tendon-to-bone interfaces are ***,the current progress of testing gradient scaffolds in physiologically relevant animal models of skeletal repair is discussed,as well as the challenges and prospects of moving these scaffolds into clinical application for treating musculoskeletal injuries.

Moirépattern in twisted multilayers(tMLs)induces many emergent phenomena by subtle variation of atomic registry to modulate quasiparticles and their interactions,such as superconductivity,moiréexcitons,and moiré*** periodic superlattice potential introduced by moirépattern also underlies patterned interlayer coupling at the interface of *** this arising patterned interfacial coupling is much weaker than in-plane atomic interactions,it is crucial in moirésystems,as captured by the renormalized interlayer phonons in twisted bilayer transitional metal ***,we determine the quantitative relationship between the lattice dynamics of intralayer out-of-plane optical(ZO)phonons and patterned interfacial coupling in multilayer graphene moirésuperlattices(MLG-MS)by the proposed perturbation model,which is previously challenging for MLGs due to their out-of-phase displacements of adjacent atoms in one atomic *** unveil that patterned interfacial coupling introduces profound modulations on Davydov components of nonfolded ZO phonon that are localized within the AB-stacked constituents,while the coupling results in layer-extended vibrations with symmetry of moirépattern for moiréZO *** work brings further degrees of freedom to engineer moiréphysics according to the modulations imprinted on the phonon frequency and wavefunction.

The multi-class classification of images is a pivotal challenge within the realm of image processing. As the volume of visual data continues to expand, there is a burgeoning interest in harnessing the unique capabilities of quantum computation to augment the efficiency of classification tasks. However, many existing methods for training quantum image multi-classifiers parallel classical machine learning techniques, where the requisite circuit measurements increase linearly with the volume of training data. This work introduces a novel approach for training a quantum image multi-classifier based on the quantum search algorithm. We have meticulously conducted rigorous experiments on a handwritten digit dataset, a classic benchmark in the field. The results have been meticulously compared with previous works, and the comparative analysis not only validates the efficiency of our proposed approach, requiring only O(N/b) measurements during training, but also highlights a significant quadratic speedup of the algorithm.

The selection rule for angle-resolved polarized Raman(ARPR)intensity of phonons from standard grouptheoretical method in isotropic materials would break down in anisotropic layered materials(ALMs)due to birefringence and linear dichroism *** two effects result in depth-dependent polarization and intensity of incident laser and scattered signal inside ALMs and thus make a challenge to predict ARPR intensity at any laser incidence ***,taking in-plane anisotropic black phosphorus as a prototype,we developed a so-called birefringence-linear-dichroism(BLD)model to quantitatively understand its ARPR intensity at both normal and oblique laser incidences by the same set of real Raman tensors for certain laser *** fitting parameter is needed,once the birefringence and linear dichroism effects are considered with the complex refractive *** approach was proposed to experimentally determine real Raman tensor and complex refractive indexes,respectively,from the relative Raman intensity along its principle axes and incident-angle resolved reflectivity by Fresnel’s *** results suggest that the previously reported ARPR intensity of ultrathin ALM flakes deposited on a multilayered substrate at normal laser incidence can be also understood based on the BLD model by considering the depth-dependent polarization and intensity of incident laser and scattered Raman signal induced by both birefringence and linear dichroism effects within ALM flakes and the interference effects in the multilayered structures,which are dependent on the excitation wavelength,thickness of ALM flakes and dielectric layers of the *** work can be generally applicable to any opaque anisotropic crystals,offering a promising route to predict and manipulate the polarized behaviors of related phonons.

The periodically forced 2D Navier-Stokes equation with a degenerate noise is studied. For the Markov chain obtained by restricting the solution process to the Poincarésection, we prove a quantitative version of the strong law of large numbers and the central limit theorem with explicit convergence rates. A law of the iterated logarithm is also obtained. The proof is based on a martingale approximation procedure.

The unavoidable dendrite growth and shuttle effect have long been stranglehold challenges limiting the safety and practicality of lithium-sulfur ***,we propose a dual-action strategy to address the lithium dendrite issue in stages by constructing a multifunctional surface-negatively-charged nanodiamond layer with high ductility and robust puncture resistance on polypropylene （PP） *** uniformly loaded compact negative layer can not only significantly enhance electron transmission efficiency and promote uniform lithium deposition,but also reduce the formation of dendrite during early deposition *** importantly,under the strong puncture stress encountered during the deterioration of lithium dendrite growth under limiting current,the high ductility and robust puncture resistance（145.88 MPa） of as-obtained nanodiamond layer can effectively prevent short circuits caused by unavoidable lithium *** Li||Li symmetrical cells assembled with nanodiamond layer modified PP demonstrated a stable cycle of over 1000 h at 2 mA cm-2with a polarization voltage of only 29.3 ***,the negative charged layer serves as a physical barrier blocking lithium polysulfide ions,effectively mitigating capacity *** improved cells achieved a capacity decay of only 0.042%per cycle after 700 cycles at 3 C,demonstrating effective suppression of dendrite growth and capacity attenuation,showing promising prospect.
