Developing a diagnostic model for predicting prostate cancer: a retrospective study based on Chinese multicenter clinical data

The study of lithographic variation in resistive random access memory

Reducing the process variation is a significant concern for resistive random access memory(RRAM).Due to its ultrahigh integration density,RRAM arrays are prone to lithographic variation during the lithography process,introducing electrical variation among different RRAM *** this work,an optical physical verification methodology for the RRAM array is developed,and the effects of different layout parameters on important electrical characteristics are systematically *** results indicate that the RRAM devices can be categorized into three clusters according to their locations and lithography *** read resistance is more sensitive to the locations in the array(~30%)than SET/RESET voltage(<10%).The increase in the RRAM device length and the application of the optical proximity correction technique can help to reduce the variation to less than 10%,whereas it reduces RRAM read resistance by 4×,resulting in a higher power and area *** such,we provide design guidelines to minimize the electrical variation of RRAM arrays due to the lithography process.

Pretreatment with interleukin-33 reduces warm hepatic ischemia/ reperfusion injury in mice

Background Interleukin （IL）-33 is a recently identified member of the IL-1 family that binds to the receptor, ST2L. This study examined IL-33 production in mouse liver and investigated its role in hepatic ischemia/reperfusion （I/R） injury. Methods Male BALB/c mice （（22＋3） g） were subjected to 90 minutes partial hepatic ischemia, followed by 6 hours reperfusion. First, mice were randomized into two groups： control group （laparotomy only, without blocking blood supply） and ischemia model group. IL-33 mRNA and serum protein levels were measured at 30, 60, 90 minutes after ischemia and 2 and 6 hours after reperfusion. Second, mice were randomized into four groups： control, model （injection of rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody）, recombinant IL-33 intervention and anti-ST2L antibody intervention group. Mice were sacrificed 6 hours after reperfusion. Liver pathology was observed via transmission electron microscopy. Serum aspartate aminotransferase （AST）, alanine aminotransferase （ALT）, IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, interferon-y （IFN-y） and tumor necrosis factor-a （TNF-a） levels were measured. Results Levels of IL-33 mRNA and protein did not change during ischemia （P 〉0.05） but increased significantly during reperfusion （P 〈0.05）. After reperfusion for 6 hours, serum levels of ALT, AST, IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, IFN-~ and TNF-a were significantly increased （P 〈0.05）, and hepatocellular ultrastructure was damaged. Pretreatment with IL-33 attenuated severity of liver damage compared with controls, but pretreatment with anti-ST2L antibody increased severity. Serum levels of IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13 protein increased whereas IFN-y decreased following IL-33 pretreatment. Pretreatment with anti-ST2L antibody significantly decreased serum IL-4, IL-5, IL-13 levels and increased serum IFN-r levels compared with controls （P 〈0.05）. There was no change in the level of TNF-a. Conclusion IL-33 is produced systematically and locally in liver during I/R injury. Pretreatment with IL-33 is therapeutic for hepatic

Threshold Selection and Resource Allocation for Quantized Identification

This paper is concerned with the optimal threshold selection and resource allocation problems of quantized identification, whose aims are improving identification efficiency under limited resources. Firstly, the first-order asymptotically optimal quantized identification theory is extended to the weak persistent excitation condition. Secondly, the characteristics of time and space complexities are established based on the Cramér-Rao lower bound of quantized systems. On these basis, the optimal selection methods of fixed thresholds and adaptive thresholds are established under aperiodic signals, which answer how to achieve the best efficiency of quantized identification under the same time and space complexity. In addition, based on the principle of maximizing the identification efficiency under a given resource, the optimal resource allocation methods of quantized identification are given for the cases of fixed thresholds and adaptive thresholds, respectively, which show how to balance time and space complexity to realize the best identification efficiency of quantized identification.

Heart failure(HF)is a clinical hallmark of cardiovascular syndrome leading to substantial morbidity,repeated hospitalization,and enormous healthcare *** elderly populations continue to increase,biomarker-guided diagnosis and treatment for age-related cardiac decline have become *** evidence demonstrates that N-terminal proBNP(NT-proBNP)can provide a unique window into the diagnosis and risk stratification with ***,a simple yet robust aptasensor is developed for on-site recognizing the NT-proBNP by its targeting aptamer,thus achieving the accurate diagnosis of *** aptasensing system is prepared by absorbing the fluorophore-labeled aptamer strand onto the graphene oxide(GO),leading to efficient quenching without possible off-site signal *** aptamer strand can specifically identify target NT-proBNP molecules via a versatile conformational transformation,resulting in the desorption of the aptamer-NTproBNP complexes from GO and re-generation fluorescence signal,thus allowing sensitive detection of NT-proBNP in 37 clinical blood *** advantage of the high specificity of aptamer-guaranteed recognitions of NT-proBNP,this aptasensor system readily achieves better diagnostic performance for HF than commercially adopted chemiluminescence immunoassay(Siemens,CLIA)in hospitals in terms of accuracy(89.2%vs 83.8%),specificity(89.5%vs 84.2%),and positive predictive value(88.9%vs 83.3%).This work provides a stable option for the diagnosis and treatment of elderly HF-related diseases inclinics.

Efficient capture,safe storage and release of tritium from the international thermonuclear experimental reactor(ITER) reaction exhaust gas is a perplexing problem,and the development of an efficient tritium-getter material with ultra-low hydrogenation equilibrium pressure is considered as a reliable *** this work,Zr_(2)Co alloy was selected as a tritium-getter material and prepared through induction levitation *** performance test results show that Zr_(2)Co exhibits an ultra-low hydrogenation equilibrium pressure of 3.22 × 10^(-6) Pa at 25℃ and excellent hydriding kinetics under a low hydrogen pressure of 0.005 ***,unique phase transition behaviors were presented in Zr_(2)Co-H ***,Zr_(2)CoH_(5) formed by Zr_(2)Co hydrogenated at room temperature is initially decomposed into ZrH_(2) and ZrCoH_(3) at200 ℃.With the temperature increasing to 350 ℃,ZrCoH_(3)is dehydrogenated to ZrCo,and then ZrCo further reacts with ZrH_(2) at 650 ℃ to reform Zr_(2)Co and *** the staged phase transition pathways during dehydrogenation,the decomposition of Zr_(2)CoH_(5) occurs preferentially,which is well accordance with both the smallest reaction energy barrier and the maximum reaction spontaneity that are determined respectively from kinetics activation energy and thermodynamics Gibbs free ***,first principles calculation results indicate that the stronger binding of hydrogen in interstitial environments of ZrCoH_(3)and ZrH_(2) triggers the hydrogen-stabilized phase transformation of Zr_(2)CoH_(5).The unique phase transition mechanisms in Zr_(2)Co-H system can shed light on the further exploration and regulation of analogous staged phase transition of hydrogen storage materials.
