Various SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses have been increasingly identified in pangolins,showing a potential threat to *** we report the infectivity and pathogenicity of the SARS-CoV-2-related virus,PCoV-GX/P2V,which was isolated from a Malayan pangolin(Manis javanica).PCoV-GX/P2V could grow in human hepatoma,colorectal adenocarcinoma cells,and human primary nasal epithelial *** replicated more efficiently in cells expressing human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(hACE2)as SARS-CoV-2 *** intranasal inoculation to the hACE2-transgenic mice,PCoV-GX/P2V not only replicated in nasal turbinate and lungs,but also caused interstitial pneumonia,characterized by infiltration of mixed inflammatory cells and multifocal alveolar *** population immunity established by SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination may not protect people from PCoV-GX/P2V *** findings further verify the hACE2 utility of PCoV-GX/P2V by in vivo experiments using authentic viruses and highlight the importance for intensive surveillance to prevent possible cross-species transmission.

Therapeutic effects on spastic cerebral palsy in children Acupuncture and massage at the Shu and He acupoints versus routine acupoints

BACKGROUND： Based on clinical findings and syndromes, it has been previously shown that therapeutic methods for cerebral palsy can be greatly improved by selecting fewer, but more accurate acupoints. Therefore, greater therapeutic efficacy for cerebral palsy could be obtained by selecting the five Shu acupoints, which are located at the qi-intersecting point of the twelve meridians below the elbow and knee. OBJECTIVE： To treat children with spastic cerebral palsy using acupuncture and massage at the Shu and He points through a combination of rehabilitative training, and to compare the effects with routine acupuncture and massage. DESIGN： A randomized controlled clinical trial. SETTING： Rehabilitation Center for Cerebral Palsy, Department of Pediatrics, Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. PARTICIPANTS： Sixty children with spastic cerebral palsy were selected from the Rehabilitation Center for Cerebral Palsy, Department of Pediatrics, Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2003 to February 2006. There were 38 boys and 22 girls, aged 10 months to 4 years old, muscle strength ranging from grade I to grade IV. The children were randomly divided into a treatment group （n =30） and a control group （n =30）. Informed consent for the therapeutic program was obtained from the relatives of all enrolled children. The study was approved by the Hospital＇s Ethical Committee. METHODS： All children were given exercise and occupational therapy based on standard treatments. （1） In the control group, the children were additionally treated with routine acupuncture and massage during the one-month basic rehabilitative training. The acupuncture needles were manipulated alternately at the acupoints of Jianyu, Shousanli, Binao, Hegu, Huantiao, Xuanzhong, and Biguan. A computational investigation of topological insulator Bi2Se3 film

Topological insulators have a bulk band gap like a.n ordinary insulator and conducting states on their edge or surface which are formed by spin orbit coupling and protected by time-reversal sylnmetry. W＇e report theoretical analyses of tile electronic properties of three-dimensional topological insulator Bi2Sea film on different energies. We choose five different energies （ 123, -75, 0, 180. 350 meV） around the Dirac cone （ 113 meV）. When energy is close to the Dirac cone. the properties of wave function Inatch the topological insulator＇s halhnark perfectly. When energy is far way from tile Dirac cone, the halhnark of topological insulator is broken and the helical states disappear. The electronic properties of helical states are dug out fi＇om the calculation results. The spin-inomentum locking of the helical StatES are confirmed. A 3-fold symmetry of the helical states in Brillouin zone is also revealed. The penetration depth of tile helical states is two quintuple layers which can be identified from layer projection. Tile charge contribution on each quintuple layer depends on the energy, and has completely different behavior along K and M direction in Brillouin zone. From orbital projection, we can find that the maximum charge contribution of the helical states is p： orbit and the charge contribution on py and Px orbits have 2-fold symmetry.

Three donor-acceptor molecules containing pyromellitic diimide chromophore were designed and synthe- sized. The synthetic route towards the target compounds was systematically investigated and discussed in detail. The resulted organic semiconductors have shown promising optoelectronic properties as further revealed by UV-Vis ab- sorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and theoretic calculation.

Agglomeration behavior of petal-shaped cerium carbonate with different operating conditions

Agglomeration phenomenon can often be observed during the fabrication process of petal-shaped, nano-sized Ce2（CO3）3 powders. This kind of powder was produced by liquid-phase precipitation method with the template agent of polyallylamine hydrochloride （PAH）. In this study, the effects of the polymer concentration, pH value, and stirring speed on the agglomeration phe- nomenon of cerium carbonate were investigated. On the condition that the concentration of PAH is 0.9 g·L^-1, the pH value of the adjusting solution is 3-4, the final pH value is 8-10, and the stirring speed is 300-400 r·min^-1, it is found that the agglomeration phenomenon of Ce2（CO3）3 particles can be greatly prevented and the regular petal- shaped particles are formed.
