A new X-ray imaging and biomedical application beamline(BL13HB)has been implemented at the Shanghai Radiation Synchrotron Facility(SSRF)as an upgrade to the old X-ray imaging and biomedical application beamline(BL13W1).This is part of the Phase II construction project of the *** BL13HB is dedicated to 2D and 3D static and dynamic X-ray imaging,with a field of view of up to 48.5 mm×5.2 mm and spatial resolution as high as 0.8μm.A super-bending magnet is used as the X-ray source in BL13HB,which has a maximum magnetic field of 2.293 *** energy range of monochromatic X-ray photons from a double-multiplayer monochromator was 8–40 keV,and the white beam mode was provided on the beamline for dynamic X-ray imaging and dynamic X-ray *** maintaining the previous experimental setup of BL13W1,new equipment was added to the beamline experimental *** beamline is equipped with different sets of X-ray imaging detectors for several experimental methods such as micro-CT,dynamic micro-CT,and pair distribution *** experimental station of BL13HB is designed specifically for various in situ dynamic experiments,and BL13HB has been open to users since June 2021.

Capillary interactions are fundamentally important in many scientific and industrial fields. However, most existing models of the capillary bridges and capillary forces between two solids with a mediated liquid, are based on extremely simple geometrical configurations, such as sphere-plate, sphere-sphere, and plate-plate. The capillary bridge and capillary force between two axisymmetric power-law profile particles with a mediated constant-volume liquid are investigated in this study. A dimensionless method is adopted to calculate the capillary bridge shape between two power-law profile particles based on the Young-Laplace equation. The critical rupture criterion of the liquid bridge is shown in four forms that produce consistent results. It was found that the dimensionless rupture distance changes little when the shape index is larger than 2. The results show that the power-law index has a significant influence on the capillary force between two power-law particles. This is directly attributed to the different shape profiles of power-law particles with different indices. Effects of various other parameters such as ratio of the particle equivalent radii, liquid contact angle, liquid volume, and interparticle distance on the capillary force between two power-law particles are also examined.

Along with the integrated and miniaturized development of advanced electronic devices,phase change materials(PCMs)simultaneously with efficient thermal management and high electromag-netic interference(EMI)shielding effectiveness(SE)are ungently ***,the shape-stabilized MXene/Ni-platted melamine sponge/Regenerated cellulose/Graphene nanoplate/Polyethylene glycol(MX/Ni@MS/RCG/PEG)composite PCMs comprising hierarchical Ni@MS/RCG and MXene film were fabricated via a facile encapsulation *** Ni@MS/RCG hybrid aerogel was prepared by electroless plating and sol-gel methods,and MXene film was obtained using vacuum-assisted filtra-tion *** synergistic effect of conductive Ni@MS/RCG networks and tight MXene film endows MX/Ni@MS/RCG/PEG composite PCMs with good shape stability,high cyclic reliability,large latent heat of phase change(154.3 J g^(–1)),excellent thermal conductivity(TC,0.47 W m^(–1)K^(–1))and favorable EMI shield-ing performance(32.7 dB).The TC of acceptable 0.47 W m^(–1)K^(–1)is observed for MX/Ni@MS/RCG-5/PEG at a rather low GNP content of merely 0.39 wt%.In addition,the temperature variation of MX/Ni@MS/RCG-5/PEG is a lot faster than that of pure PEG in the heating/cooling process,revealing the remarkable energy storage and release efficiency for the composite *** investigation has taken an important step to-wards shape-stabilized composite PCMs with both effective thermal management and high EMI SE for promising applications in electronic packaging and advanced energy.

In this paper, we propose the novel method of complex least squares adjustment （CLSA） to invert vegetation height accurately using single-baseline polarimetric synthetic aperture radar interferometry （PollnSAR） data. CLSA basically estimates both volume-only coherence and ground phase directly without assuming that the ground-to-volume amplitude radio of a particular polarization channel （e.g., HV） is less than -10 dB, as in the three-stage method. In addition, CLSA can effectively limit errors in interferometric complex coherence, which may translate directly into erroneous ground-phase and volume-only coherence estimations. The proposed CLSA method is validated with BioSAR2008 P-band E-SAR and L-band SIR-C PollnSAR data. Its results are then compared with those of the traditional three-stage method and with external data. It implies that the CLSA method is much more robust than the three-stage method.

The performance and efficiency of a baler deteriorate as a result of gearbox *** way to overcome this challenge is to select appropriate fault feature parameters for fault diagnosis and monitoring *** paper proposes a fault feature selection method using an improved adaptive genetic algorithm for a baler *** method directly obtains the minimum fault feature parameter set that is most sensitive to fault features through attribute *** main benefit of the improved adaptive genetic algorithm is its excellent performance in terms of the efficiency of attribute reduction without requiring prior ***,this method should be capable of timely diagnosis and *** validation was performed and promising findings highlighting the relationship between diagnosis results and faults were *** results indicate that when using the improved genetic algorithm to reduce 12 fault characteristic parameters to three without a priori information,100%fault diagnosis accuracy can be achieved based on these fault characteristics and the time required for fault feature parameter selection using the improved genetic algorithm is reduced by half compared to traditional *** proposed method provides important insights into the instant fault diagnosis and fault monitoring of mechanical devices.

After the strong 2015/16 El Nino event,cold conditions prevailed in the tropical Pacific with the second-year cooling of the 2017/18 La Ni?a *** coupled models failed to predict the cold SST anomalies(SSTAs)in *** using the ERA5 and GODAS(Global Ocean Data Assimilation System)products,atmospheric and oceanic factors were examined that could have been responsible for the second-year cooling,including surface wind and the subsurface thermal state.A time sequence is described to demonstrate how the cold SSTAs were produced in the central-eastern equatorial Pacific in late *** July 2017,easterly anomalies strengthened in the central Pacific;in the meantime,wind stress divergence anomalies emerged in the far eastern region,which strengthened during the following months and propagated westward,contributing to the development of the second-year cooling in *** the subsurface,weak negative temperature anomalies were accompanied by upwelling in the eastern equatorial Pacific,which provided the cold water source for the sea ***,both the cold anomalies and upwelling were enhanced and extended westward in the centraleastern equatorial *** changes were associated with the seasonally weakened EUC(the Equatorial Undercurrent)and strengthened SEC(the South Equatorial Current),which favored more cold waters being accumulated in the central-equatorial ***,the subsurface cold waters stretched upward with the convergence of the horizontal currents and eventually outcropped to the *** subsurface-induced SSTAs acted to induce local coupled air–sea interactions,which generated atmospheric–oceanic anomalies developing and evolving into the second-year cooling in the fall of 2017.

A type of novel electrospun supramolecular hybrid microfibers comprising poly(9-(4-(octyloxy)-phenyl)-2,7-fluoren-9-ol)(PPFOH)and poly(A/-vinylcarbazole)(PVK)are successfully prepared for intriguing multi-color emission *** supramolecular tunable PPFOH aggregation in PVK matrix endows the complex with a smart energy transfer behavior to obtain the multi-color *** stark contrast to PVK fibers,the emission color of PPFOH/PVK fibers with an efficient dispersion of PPFOH fluorophores at a proper dope ratio can be tuned in a wide spectrum of blue(0.1%),sky blue(0.5%),nearly white(1%),cyan(2%),green(5%)and yellow(10%).Besides,conductive behaviors of the microfiber were demonstrated in accompany with the increment of the doping ratio of PPFOH to *** fabrication of polymer light-emitting diode(PLED)based on the blended electrospun fiber provided a further evidence of its excellent electrical property for potential applications in optoelectronic devices.
