The HAMSOM(Hamburg Shelf Ocean Model),a high-resolution regional ice-ocean coupled model,was applied to investigate the seasonal evolution of Bohai Sea ice for winter 2015/*** was initialized with monthly climatological temperature and salinity data from WOA13 and driven by hourly meteorological data obtained from the NCEP above the sea surface and tides at the open *** ice model used here is a modifi ed Hibler-type dynamic-thermodynamic sea ice model based upon viscous-plastic *** ice extent,concentration,area,thickness,length of ice season as well as the distance between the top of Liaodong Bay(North China)and the outer ice edge line were simulated and compared with the observed *** types of modeling experiments were carried out to investigate the eff ects of wind,tide,and both wind and tide on Bohai Sea *** results show that wind,as both a dynamic and a thermodynamic factor,has a signifi cant impact on the ice thickness,ice area,and ice-freezing and ice breakup dates as well as the ice velocity,while tides are a dynamic factor that infl uences only the ice *** the severe ice period,the wind speed intensity increased by 25%,the average ice thickness thickened by approximately 4.0 cm in Liaodong Bay,approximately 2.1 cm in Bohai Bay and approximately 2.5 cm in Laizhou Bay,and the total ice coverage area and total ice actual area increased by about 2×104 km 2 and 1.4×104 km 2,*** the tidal amplitude intensity increased by 25%,the average ice velocity increased by approximately 0.1 m/s.

Tides represent a crucial dynamic process in the ocean and play a vital role in both marine and atmospheric studies;thus,accurate simulation of tidal processes is of the utmost importance in tidal circulation *** on the sequential data assimilation method and the concept of the Kalman gain matrix,this paper proposes a new nudging method with spatially dependent coefficients for tidal *** spatial-dependent nudging method not only retains the advantages of the traditional nudging method but also facilitates the direct determination of a more reasonable spatial distribution of nudging *** the M_(2)tidal constituent(the main lunar semidiurnal tide)as an illustration,we conducted assimilation experiments of sea-level data to the barotropic circulation and tide model to assess the global harmonic constants of the M_(2)*** results demonstrate that the spatial-dependent nudging method successfully mitigates deviations of tidal phase *** assimilation using the new method,the deviations of the M_(2)tidal amplitude and phase lag can be reduced by 47%and 18%compared to the traditional nudging method,respectively,while the respective values for the non-assimilated case are as much as 9%and 11%.We also applied the S-nudging method to realistic tidal simulations and noted a significantly enhanced effectiveness relative to traditional methods,making it highly valuable for modeling oceanic tidal circulations.

The white-box attack is a new attack context in which it is assumed that cryptographic software is implemented on an un-trusted platform and all the implementation details are controlled by the attackers. So far, almost all white-box solutions have been broken. In this study, we propose a white-box encryption scheme that is not a variant of obfuscating existing ciphers but a completely new solution. The new scheme is based on the unbalanced Feistel network as well as the ASASASA （where ＂A＂ means affine, and ＂S＂ means substitution） structure. It has an optional input block size and is suitable for saving space compared with other solutions because the space requirement grows slowly （linearly） with the growth of block size. Moreover, our scheme not only has huge white-box diversity and white-box ambiguity but also has a particular construction to bypass public white-box cryptanalysis techniques, including attacks aimed at white-box variants of existing ciphers and attacks specific to the ASASASA structure. More precisely, we present a definition of white-box security with regard to equivalent key, and prove that our scheme satisfies such security requirement.

A general method has been developed for analyzing two-phase flow pressure buildup data from a well located in a system of both production and injection wells completed in an infinite muhiwell reservoir. The analysis technique assumes that the tested well has established its own drainage area before shut-in and a linear reservoir pressure trend dominates the well pressure behavior at the instant of shut-in. And for the two-phase flow problems the horizontal saturation gradients are assumed to be negligible. The entire pressure rcsponse, whether or not conventional semilog straight lines exist, can be analyzed and the Injection-Production Ratio （IPR）, the total fluid （oil/water） mobility, the average drainage-area pressure, and also the skin factor can be calculated much easily. The validity and applicability of the method are demonstrated by a field example. The technique by using the type curves for analyzing the pressure-buildup data is also presented here.

Physical origin of multi-wavelength emission of GRB 100418A and implications for its progenitor

Swift GRB 100418A is a long burst at z = 0.624 without detection of any associated supernova （SN）. Its light curves in both the prompt and afterglow phases are similar to GRB 060614, a nearby long GRB without an associated SN. We analyze the observational data of this event and discuss the possible origins of its multiwavelength emission. We show that its joint light curve at 1 keV derived from Swift BAT and XRT observations is composed of two distinguished components. The first component, whose spectrum is extremely soft （Γ = 4.32）, ends with a steep decay segment, indicating the internal origin of this component. The second component is a slowly-rising, broad bump which peaks at ～ 10 5 s post the BAT trigger. Assuming that the late bump is due to onset of the afterglow, we derive the initial Lorentz factor （Γ 0 ） of the GRB fireball and find that it significantly deviates from the relation between the Γ 0 and isotropic gamma-ray energy derived from typical GRBs. We also check whether it follows the same anti-correlation between X-ray luminosity and the break time observed in the shallow decay phase of many typical GRBs, which is usually regarded as a signal of late energy injection from the GRB central engine. However, we find that it does not obey this correlation. We propose that the late bump could be contributed by a two-component jet. We fit the second component with an off-axis jet model for a constant medium density and find the late bump can be represented by the model. The derived jet half-opening angle is 0.30 rad and the viewing angle is 0.315 rad. The medium density is 0.05 cm 3 , possibly suggesting that it may be from a merger of compact stars. The similarity between GRBs 060614 and 100418A may indicate that the two GRBs are from the same population and the late bump observed in the two GRBs may be a signal of a two-component jet powered by the GRB central engine.
