The novel Fe-N co-doped ordered mesoporous carbon with high catalytic activity in m-cresol removal was prepared by urea-assisted impregnation and simple pyrolysis *** the preparation of the Fe-NC catalyst,the complexation of N elements in urea could anchor Fe,and the formation of C3N4during urea pyrolysis could also prevent migration and aggregation of Fe species,which jointly improve the dispersion and stability of *** FeN4sites and highly dispersed Fe nanoparticles synergistically trigger the dual-site peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation for highly efficient m-cresol degradation,while the ordered mesoporous structure of the catalyst could improve the mass transfer rate of the catalytic process,which together promote catalytic degradation of m-cresol by PMS *** oxygen species (ROS) analytic experiments demonstrate that the system degrades m-cresol by free radical pathway mainly based on SO_(4)^(-)·and·OH,and partially based on·OH as the active components,and a possible PMS activation mechanism by 5Fe-50 for m-cresol degradation was *** study can provide theoretical guidance for the preparation of efficient and stable catalysts for the degradation of organic pollutants by activated PMS.

An optical-tweezers-based dual-frequency-band particle tracking system was designed and fabricated for liquid viscositydetection. On the basis of the liquid viscosity dependent model of the particle’s restricted Brownian motion with theFax´en correction taken into account, the liquid viscosity and optical trap stiffness were determined by fitting the theoreticalprediction with the measured power spectral densities of the particle’s displacement and velocity that were derived from thedual-frequency-band particle tracking data. When the SiO2 beads were employed as probe particles in the measurements ofdifferent kinds of liquids, the measurement results exhibit a good agreement with the reported results, as well as a detectionuncertainty better than 4.6%. This kind of noninvasive economical technique can be applied in diverse environments forboth in situ and ex situ viscosity detection of liquids.

X-ray Computed Tomography(XCT)enables non-destructive acquisition of the internal structure of materials,and image segmentation plays a crucial role in analyzing material XCT *** paper proposes an image segmentation method based on the Segment Anything model(SAM).We constructed a dataset of carbide in nickel-based single crystal superalloys XCT images and preprocessed the images using median filtering,histogram equalization,and gamma ***,SAM was fine-tuned to adapt to the task of material XCT image segmentation,resulting in *** compared the performance of threshold segmentation,SAM,U-Net model,and *** method achieved 88.45%Class Pixel Accuracy(CPA)and 88.77%Dice Similarity Coefficient(DSC)on the test set,outperforming SAM by 5.25%and 8.81%,respectively,and achieving the highest ***-SAM demonstrated lower input requirements compared to SAM,as it only required three reference points for completing the segmentation task,which is one-fifth of the requirement of ***-SAM exhibited promising results,highlighting its potential as a novel method for material XCT image segmentation.

AIM:To investigate the antioxidant protective effect of Lycium barbarum glycopeptide(LbGP)pretreatment on retinal ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)injury(RIRI)in ***:RIRI was induced in Sprague Dawley rats through anterior chamber perfusion,and pretreatment involved administering LbGP via gavage for *** 24h of reperfusion,serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and creatinine(CREA)levels,retinal structure,expression of Caspase-3 and Caspase-8,superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity,and malondialdehyde(MDA)in the retina were ***:The pretreatment with LbGP effectively protected the retina and retinal tissue from edema and inflammation in the ganglion cell layer(GCL)and nerve fiber layer(NFL)of rats subjected to RIRI,as shown by light microscopy and optical coherence tomography(OCT).Serum AST was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.042),but no difference was found in ALT,AST,and CREA across the LbGP groups and model ***-3 expression was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.006),but no difference was found among LbGP groups and the model ***-8 expression was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.000),and lower in the 400 mg/kg LbGP group than in the model group(P=0.016).SOD activity was lower in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.001),and the decrease was slower in the 400 mg/kg LbGP group than in the model group(P=0.003).MDA content was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.001),and lower in the 400 mg/kg LbGP group than in the model group(P=0.016).The pretreatment with LbGP did not result in any observed liver or renal toxicity in the ***:LbGP pretreatment exhibits dosedependent anti-inflammatory,and antioxidative effects by reducing Caspase-8 expression,preventing declines of SOD activity,and decreasing MDA content in the RIRI rat model.

In order to verify the feasibility of applying high-Jc Nb_(3)Sn strand in fusion magnet,a full-size cable-in-conduit conductor(CICC)with short twist pitch(STP)cable pattern was manufactured and tested in SULTAN facility at SPC,*** levels of cyclic electromagnetic(EM)load were applied on the sample stepwise,no visible decrease of current sharing temperature(TcsT was observed until the EM load increased to 80 kA×10.8 T,after that the Tcs decreased dramatically with the EM cycles,which suggested that irreversible deformation,causing a change in the strain state,or even damage has occurred in the superconducting *** investigating the reason which caused the conductor performance degradation,the tested conductor was dissected for metallographic *** segments which subjected to different EM loads were extracted from one of the legs,the geometric feature changes of the cable cross-sections were analyzed and compared.A good correlation was found between the decrease of the Tcs and deformation of the cable cross section.A mass of cracks were found on the sub-elements of strands in the segment which subjected to highest EM load,but the amount of crack is much lower in other *** the analyses,it is speculated that the critical EM load which causes irreversible degradation is between 850 kN/m and 870 kN/m for this *** results could be a reference in high-Jc Nb_(3)Sn CICC design.

Objectives:The pro-oncogenic effects of NCAPD2 have been extensively studied across various tumor types;however,its precise role within the context of lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)remains *** study aims to elucidate the biological functions of NCAPD2 in LUAD and unravel the underlying mechanistic ***:Utilizing bioinformatics methodologies,we explored the differential expression of NCAPD2 between normal and tumor samples,along with its correlations with clinical-pathological characteristics,survival prognosis,and immune ***:In the TCGA-LUAD dataset,tumor samples demonstrated significantly elevated levels of NCAPD2 expression compared to normal samples(p<0.001).Clinically,higher NCAPD2 expression was notably associated with advanced T,N,and M stages,pathologic stage,gender,smoking status,and diminished overall survival(OS).Moreover,differentially expressed genes(DEGs)associated with NCAPD2 were predominantly enriched in pathways related to cell *** infiltration analysis revealed that NCAPD2 expression levels were linked to the infiltration of memory B cells,naïve CD4+T cells,activated memory CD4+T cells,and M1 *** vitro experiments demonstrated that silencing NCAPD2 suppressed LUAD cell proliferation,migration,invasion,epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT),and cell cycle ***:In summary,NCAPD2 may represent a promising prognostic biomarker and novel therapeutic target for LUAD.

The thermochromic mechanism and the structure-property regulation principle of reversible thermochromic polydiacetylene(PDA)materials have always been a challenging *** this work,a series of diacetylene monomers(m-PCDA)containing phenyl and amide or carboxyl groups were synthesized from 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid(PCDA)through the esterification or amidation *** effects of the number and the distribution of the functional groups in m-PCDA molecules on their solid-state polymerization capability,and the thermochromic mechanism of their corresponding polymers(m-PDA)were investigated and discussed in *** results show that the m-PCDA monomers containing both benzene ring and groups that can form hydrogen bonding interactions have strong intermolecular interaction,and are easy to carry out the solid phase polymerization under 254-nm UV irradiation to obtain the corresponding new thermochromic m-PDA *** thermochromic behavior of m-PDA depends on its melting *** initial color-change temperature(blue to red)is determined by the onset melting tem perature,and the temperature range in which reversible color recovery can be achieved by repeat heating-cooling treatment is determined by its melting *** to the proposed thermochromic mechanism of PDA,various new PDA materials with precise thermochromic temperatu res and reversible thermochromic temperature ra nges can be designed and synthesized through the appropriate introduction of benzene ring and groups that can form hydrogen bonding interactions into the molecular structure of linear diacetylene *** work provides a perspective to the precise molecular structure design and the property regulation of the reversible thermochromic PDA materials.

The use of lithium-sulfur batteries under high sulfur loading and low electrolyte concentrations is severely restricted by the detrimental shuttling behavior of polysulfides and the sluggish kinetics in redox ***-dimensional(2D)few layered black phosphorus with fully exposed atoms and high sulfur affinity can be potential lithium-sulfur battery electrocatalysts,which,however,have limitations of restricted catalytic activity and poor electrochemical/chemical *** resolve these issues,we developed a multifunctional metal-free catalyst by covalently bonding few layered black phosphorus nanosheets with nitrogen-doped carbon-coated multiwalled carbon nanotubes(denoted c-FBP-NC).The experimental characterizations and theoretical calculations show that the formed polarized P-N covalent bonds in c-FBP-NC can efficiently regulate electron transfer from NC to FBP and significantly promote the capture and catalysis of lithium polysulfides,thus alleviating the shuttle ***,the robust 1D-2D interwoven structure with large surface area and high porosity allows strong physical confinement and fast mass ***,with c-FBP-NC as the sulfur host,the battery shows a high areal capacity of 7.69 mAh cm^(−2) under high sulfur loading of 8.74 mg cm^(−2) and a low electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 5.7μL mg^(−1).Moreover,the assembled pouch cell with sulfur loading of 4 mg cm^(−2) and an electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 3.5μL mg^(−1) shows good rate capability and outstanding *** work proposes an interfacial and electronic structure engineering strategy for fast and durable sulfur electrochemistry,demonstrating great potential in lithium-sulfur batteries.

Combining theoretical prediction and experimental exploration, the first sandwich-type polyoxovanadoborate(POVB) with an odd number of nuclei, [V_(11)B_(26)O_(73)(OH)_(10)]^(8-)(1), was discovered under hydrothermal conditions. Density-functional theory(DFT)gives a rationalization for the existence of this structure and the structural feature is consistent with the {V_NB_(2N+X)}(X = 2, 4, 6, 8)general formula. Excitingly, when Co and 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) are introduced into the synthesis of vanadoborates system,a 100-nuclei [Co_6(phen)_(10)(H_(2)O)_8][V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)O_(144)(OH)_(20)]·28H_(2)O(2) and a 102-nuclei [Co_6(phen)_(14)(H_(2)O)_(4)][V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)O_(144)(OH)_(20)]·23H_(2)O(3) with the same core structure of [V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)]^(12-)are obtained. The vase-shaped [V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)] polyanion is a multilayered sandwich-type structure containing seven distinct structural layers and is the largest known POVB. Furthermore, 2demonstrates exceptional thermal and chemical stability and serves as an efficient and stable catalyst for the photoreduction of carbon dioxide.
