Morphological characteristics and evolution model of slope units along loess gully cross section

Gully morphology is an important part of loess landform *** with gully development,the variation of its cross section is the most significant,and it can intuitively reflect the characteristics of the lateral widening of the gully ***,in-depth research of the variation of the cross-sectional morphology of the gully is helpful to understanding the development process of the loess *** on the DEMs(Digital Elevation Model)of nine periods of an indoor simulated loess small watershed,this paper studies the evolution model of a complete branch ditch in the watershed using the digital terrain analysis theory and *** show that with the development of the gully,the average gradient of the gully slope continuously decreases,and the slope morphology is mostly a concave slope along the slope *** degree of downward concave first increases and then gradually tends to be *** gully erosion mode is gradually transformed from downward cutting erosion to lateral *** more mature the gully development,the lower the depth of gully bottom cutting is compared with the width of gully ***,the surface cutting depth tends to be stable and the slope is ***,the transformation law of the slope morphology of the gully cross section with the development of the gully is studied,and the prediction model of the transformation of the slope morphology of the gully cross section is established by using the Markov *** Markov model can better reflect the dynamic change of the slope morphology of the gully cross section,which is of great significance to revealing the external performance and internal mechanism of the gully morphology.

The angiotensin-converting enzyme(ACE)inhibitory peptide NCW derived from Mizuhopecten yessoensis has been demonstrated to have significant in vivo anti-hypertensive effects,however,its anti-hypertensive mechanism is still not fully *** study established a UPLC-Q-TRAP-MS/MS-based widely targeted kidney metabolomics approach to explore the changes of kidney metabolic profiles and to clarify the antihypertensive mechanism of peptide NCW in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHRs).Multivariate statistical analysis indicated that the kidney metabolic profiles were clearly separated between the SHR-NCW and SHRUntreated groups.A total of 85 metabolites were differentially regulated,and 16 metabolites were identified as potential kidney biomarkers,e.g.,3-hydroxybutyrate,malonic acid,deoxycytidine,and L-aspartic *** peptide NCW might regulate kidney metabolic disorder of SHRs to alleviate hypertension by suppressing inflammation and improving nitric oxide production under the regulation of linoleic acid metabolism,folate related pathways,synthesis and degradation of ketone bodies,pyrimidine metabolism,β-alanine metabolism,and retinal metabolism.

Tailoring sulfur-doped and nitrogen-defective carbon nitride nanosheets for efficient photo-controlled radical polymerizations

Despite the challenges that remain,the synergistic adjustment of various microstructures and photochemical parameters of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))in photocatalytic reactions holds promises for improving catalytic efficiency and reducing energy ***,sulfur-doped and nitrogen-defective g-C_(3)N_(4)(n-SC_(3)N_(x))nanosheets were designed and elaborately *** resultant n-SC_(3)N_(x)possessed a precisely defined 2D layer structure with extensive porosity and incremental specific surface *** photoinduced electron transfer-reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(PET-RAFT)polymerization of vinyl monomers with low dispersity,excellent temporal control and high chain-end fidelity was achieved under mild blue light irradiation in a nondegassed *** to their ultrathin nanostructures with nitrogen defects and sulfur dopants,n-SC_(3)N_(x)was capable of catalyzing RAFT polymerization in aqueous solutions at significantly accelerated rates,which were nearly 8 times faster compared to bulk g-C_(3)N_(4).The ease of separation and efficient reusability in subsequent polymerizations was enabled by the heterogeneous nature of n-SC_(3)N_(x).The appeal of this approach was illustrated by the fact that utilizing a reusable and metal-free photocatalyst in aqueous environments allowed for the synthesis of polymers with molecular weight up to 300 kg mol^(-1) and a dispersity of 1.32.

Reactive Transport Process of Earthquake-induced Hydrochemical Changes in Guanding Thermal Spring,Western Sichuan,China

Earthquake-related hydrochemical changes in thermal springs have been widely observed;however,quantitative modeling of the reactive transport process is *** the present study,we apply reactive transport simulation to capture the hydrochemical responses in a thermal spring following the Wenchuan Ms 8.0 and Lushan Ms 7.0 *** first constrain deep reservoir geothermal fluid compositions and temperature by multicomponent geothermometry,and then a reactive geochemical transport model is constructed to reproduce the hydrochemical evolution *** results show that the recharge from the shallow aquifer increases gradually until it reaches a peak because of the permeability enhancement caused by the Lushan earthquake,which may be the mechanism to explain the earthquake-related hydrochemical *** contrast to the postseismic effect of the Wenchuan earthquake,the chemical evolution can be considered as hydrochemical anomalies related to the Lushan *** study proves that the efficient simulation of reactive transport processes is useful for investigating earthquake-related signals in hydrochemical time series.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the impact of Yemazhui(Herba Eupatorii Lindleyani,HEL)against lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced acute lung injury(ALI)and explore its underlying mechanism in ***:The chemical constituents of HEL were analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatographyquadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry ***,HEL was found to suppress LPS-induced ALI in ***-week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:control,LPS,Dexamethasone(Dex),HEL low dose 6 g/kg(HEL-L),HEL medium dose 18 g/kg(HEL-M)and HEL high dose 54 g/kg(HEL-H)*** model rats were intratracheally injected with 3 mg/kg LPS to establish an ALI *** counts,lung wet/dry weight ratio,as well as myeloperoxidase(MPO)activity were determined followed by the detection with hematoxylin and eosin staining,enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction,western blotting,immunohistochemistry,and ***,to explore the effect of HEL on ALI-mediated intestinal flora,we performed 16s rRNA sequencing analysis of intestinal ***:HEL attenuated LPS-induced inflammation in lung tissue and intestinal flora *** study indicated that HEL suppressed the lung coefficient and wet/dry weight ratio of LPS-induced ALI in rats,inhibited leukocytes exudation and MPO activity,and improved the pathological injury of lung *** addition,HEL reduced the expression of tumor necrosis factoralpha,interleukin-1beta(IL-1β)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and serum,and inhibited nuclear displacement of nuclear factor kappa-B p65(NF-κBp65).And 18 g/kg HEL also reduced the expression levels of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4),myeloid differentiation factor 88,NF-κBp65,phosphorylated inhibitor kappa B alpha(phospho-IκBα),nod-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing 3 protein(NLRP3),IL-1β,and interleukin-18(IL-18)in lung tissue,and regulated intestinal flora disturban

Relationships between Terrain Features and Forecasting Errors of Surface Wind Speeds in a Mesoscale Numerical Weather Prediction Model

Numerical weather prediction(NWP)models have always presented large forecasting errors of surface wind speeds over regions with complex *** this study,surface wind forecasts from an operational NWP model,the SMS-WARR(Shanghai Meteorological Service-WRF ADAS Rapid Refresh System),are analyzed to quantitatively reveal the relationships between the forecasted surface wind speed errors and terrain features,with the intent of providing clues to better apply the NWP model to complex terrain *** terrain features are described by three parameters:the standard deviation of the model grid-scale orography,terrain height error of the model,and slope *** results show that the forecast bias has a unimodal distribution with a change in the standard deviation of *** minimum ME(the mean value of bias)is 1.2 m s^(-1) when the standard deviation is between 60 and 70 m.A positive correlation exists between bias and terrain height error,with the ME increasing by 10%−30%for every 200 m increase in terrain height *** ME decreases by 65.6%when slope angle increases from(0.5°−1.5°)to larger than 3.5°for uphill winds but increases by 35.4%when the absolute value of slope angle increases from(0.5°−1.5°)to(2.5°−3.5°)for downhill *** sensitivity experiments are carried out with a model output statistical(MOS)calibration model for surface wind speeds and ME(RMSE)has been reduced by 90%(30%)by introducing terrain parameters,demonstrating the value of this study.

MTCR-CR Routing Strategy for Connection-Oriented Routing over Satellite Networks

The high-speed movement of satellites makes it not feasible to directly apply the mature routing scheme on the ground to the satellite ***-DVTR in the snapshot-based connectionoriented routing strategy is one of the representative solutions,but it still has room for improvement in terms of routing *** this paper,we propose an improved scheme for connection-oriented routing strategy named the Minimal Topology Change Routing based on Collaborative Rules(MTCR-CR).The MTCR-CR uses continuous time static topology snapshots based on satellite status to search for intersatellite link(ISL)construction solutions that meet the minimum number of topology changes to avoid route *** simulation results in Beidou-3 show that compared with DT-DVTR,MTCR-CR reduces the number of routing changes by about 92%,the number of path changes caused by routing changes is about38%,and the rerouting time is reduced by approximately 47%.At the same time,in order to show our algorithm more comprehensively,the same experimental index test was also carried out on the Globalstar satellite constellation.

Variability of the Pacific subtropical cells under global warming in CMIP6 models

The Pacific subtropical cells(STCs)are shallow meridional overturning circulations connecting the tropics and subtropics,and are assumed to be an important driver of the tropical Pacific decadal *** variability of STCs under global warming is investigated using multimodal outputs from the latest phase of the Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project(CMIP6)and ocean reanalysis ***,the volume transport diagnostic analysis is employed to evaluate how coupled models and ocean reanalysis products reproduce interior STC *** variation of heat transport by the interior STC under the high-emissions warming scenarios is also *** results show that the multimodal-mean linear trends of the interior STC transport along 9°S and 9°N are-0.02 Sv/a and 0.04 Sv/a under global warming,respectively,which is mainly due to the combined effect of the strengthened upper oceanic stratification and the weakening of wind *** is a compensation relationship between the interior STC and the western boundary transport in the future climate,and the compensation relationship of 9°S is more significant than that of 9°*** addition,compared with ocean reanalysis products,the coupled models tend to underestimate the variability of the interior STC transport convergence,and thus may lose some sea surface temperature(SST)driving force,which may be the reason for the low STC-SST correlation simulated by the *** future scenario simulation shows that the heat transport of interior STC is weakened under global warming,with a general agreement across models.

The Mibei gold deposit,located in the southwestern part of the xuefengshan uplift zone,the middle section of the Jiangnan orogenic belt in southern China,has estimated gold resources of approximately seven *** deposit is primarily a quartz vein-type gold deposit,with ore bodies occurring mainly within Neoproterozoic *** main metallic minerals in the ore are pyrite,chalcopyrite,and *** this study,the petrography and microthermometry of ore-forming fluid inclusions,oxygen isotopes of gold-bearing quartz,and sulfur isotopes of goldbearing sulfides and arsenopyrite were *** types of fluid inclusions were identified:type Ⅰa three-phase inclusions comprising vapor and two phases of liquids(V_(CO_(2))+L_(CO_(2))+L_(H2O)),type Ⅰb two-phase liquids(L_(CO_(2))+L_(H2O)),typeⅡ two-phase vapor-rich inclusions(V/V+L> 50%),and type Ⅲ pure liquid *** Ⅰ inclusions were heated uniformly to the liquid phase,type Ⅱ inclusions were heated uniformly to the gas phase,and type Ⅲ inclusions were heated without *** general,the temperature range of homogenization to liquid phase of fluid inclusions in the Mibei gold deposit is 204-227℃.The salinity of the inclusion ranges from 4.6 to 12.2 wt% NaCl *** δ~(18)O_(SMOW) of gold-bearing quartz varies from 16.9‰ to 17.5‰.The δ~(18)O_(H2O) of gold-bearing quartz are varied from 6.5‰ to 7.5‰.The δ~(34)S values of gold-bearing pyrite range from 1.7‰ to 6.8‰.The δ~(34)S values of gold-bearing arsenopy rite range from 5.6%o to 5.9‰.Theδ~(34)S values of pyrite from wall rocks slate range from 6.4‰ to 11.6‰.This evidence implies that the ore-forming fluids of the Mibei gold deposit originated from magmatic-hydrothermal processes,mixing with minor S from the surrounding *** with the evolution of the Jiangnan orogenic belt,due to the magmatic and tectonic activities of the xuefengshan uplift during the Caledonian period,the fault seal mechanism controlled the ore-forming p

Comparison of the hygrothermal performance of two light-framed timber structure buildings under different operation modes

Light-framed timber structure(LTS)buildings have been highly valued in recent years due to their low-carbon ***,the applicability of the building envelope is closely related to indoor and outdoor *** hot summer and cold winter(HSCW)climate zone in China has high humidity and great temperature variation throughout the year,resulting in distinct outdoor environments in different *** indoor environment is greatly affected by energy-consumption patterns and window-opening habits,which largely depend upon the regulation operations of *** these interrelated factors lead to extremely complex boundary conditions on each side of the building *** the structures of LTS buildings are applicable in this climate zone,therefore,needs to be carefully *** this study,two LTS buildings with different envelopes were established in Haining,China,situated in the HSCW climate zone,and selected as the study *** operation modes were adopted to create a variety of indoor *** each condition,the processes of heat and moisture transfer within the building envelopes and the indoor environment were monitored and *** comparison indicated that the building envelope with high moisture storage and insulation ability maintained a relatively stable indoor environment,especially when the environment changed ***,if the outdoor environment was equable(e.g.,relative humidity within the range of 30%–60%)or intermittent energy consumption modes were adopted,the building envelope with a low thermal inertia index and weak moisture-buffering ability performed better because it enabled a faster response of the indoor environment to air ***,a high risk of moisture accumulation between the thermal insulation layer and other materials with a large water vapour transfer resistance factor was also identified,suggesting a higher requirement for the vapour insulation of the env
