Researchers have recently achieved significant advances in deep learning techniques, which in turn has substantially advanced other research disciplines, such as natural language processing, image processing, speech recognition, and software engineering. Various deep learning techniques have been successfully employed to facilitate software engineering tasks, including code generation, software refactoring, and fault localization. Many studies have also been presented in top conferences and journals, demonstrating the applications of deep learning techniques in resolving various software engineering tasks. However,although several surveys have provided overall pictures of the application of deep learning techniques in software engineering,they focus more on learning techniques, that is, what kind of deep learning techniques are employed and how deep models are trained or fine-tuned for software engineering tasks. We still lack surveys explaining the advances of subareas in software engineering driven by deep learning techniques, as well as challenges and opportunities in each subarea. To this end, in this study, we present the first task-oriented survey on deep learning-based software engineering. It covers twelve major software engineering subareas significantly impacted by deep learning techniques. Such subareas spread out through the whole lifecycle of software development and maintenance, including requirements engineering, software development, testing, maintenance, and developer collaboration. As we believe that deep learning may provide an opportunity to revolutionize the whole discipline of software engineering, providing one survey covering as many subareas as possible in software engineering can help future research push forward the frontier of deep learning-based software engineering more systematically. Ice accretion on surfaces of the aircraft and engine is a serious threat to the flight *** this paper,a novel hot air anti-icing method is proposed based on the porous *** the NACA0012 airfoil as an example,the traditional thermal protection structure is proved to exist the deficiency in balancing the heat exchange caused by route loss of the *** dividing the hot chamber into multiple regions to fill with various foam metal,flow resistance characteristics and heat transfer characteristics for this protection mode are analyzed in order to derive the maximized benefit in anti-icing *** calculation results reveal that,under the same condition,the region filled with foamed copper not only improves the temperature uniformity on the anti-icing area,but also achieves a better protection effect for enhancing heat transfer between the tube and the hot gas,averagely above 20℃higher than it without porous foam filling in surface ***,the minimum mass flow rate of the protection hot air is reduced by 16.7%.The gratifying efficiency of the porous filler in fortifying heat transfer confirms the potential of replacing the efficient but complex heat transfer design with simple structure filled with foam metal.

Thermal management has become a significant concern in the design of advanced air ***,an effective evaluation method is needed when designers need to evaluate aircraft thermal management systems *** paper proposes an evaluation method in which several evaluation directions concerned with thermal management systems(TMSs) are put forward to form an evaluation index *** effect of temperature control,heat sink utilization efficiency,energy utilization efficiency,flight performance penalty,thermal endurance,space occupancy ratio,and economy are chosen as the direction of evaluation for TMS,considering its primary function,system performance,and impact on aerial *** method is comprehensive,intuitive,and user-friendly,along with the intensely subjective user-defined weight parameters,which provide rational metrics for thermal management techniques involved in aerial *** evaluation method could potentially be helpful for designers to comprehensively analyze the performance of aircraft thermal management systems and provide a basis for practical *** examples are provided to demonstrate the application of the method to evaluating TMS comprehensively.

An automatic cooling device has been developed by using a temperature-sensitive magnetic fluid as the coolant. A particle image velocimetry (PIV) system was used to measure the flow velocity of the fluid inside the loop. The efficiency of the device under varying conditions such as the heat load and the power of cooling were ex- perimentally investigated. The effect of cooperation between external magnetic field and thermal field on the performance of the device was studied. As expected, a continuous flow induced by the thermal and magnetic field was observed in the loop, where heat was transferred by the circulating magnetic fluid. The synergic effect between the magnetic field and the temperature gradient has impact on the performance of the device.

The wind-wave-ocean system, which contains complex interactive processes, is of great importance for the momentum, heat and mass transport in the atmosphere and ocean and at their interface. In this work, we perform wave-coupled phase-resolved numerical simulations to investigate the effect of progressive gravity waves on wind and ocean turbulence. Initially homogeneous turbulence under a finite-amplitude monochromatic surface wave is simulated to reveal how the wave influences the subsurface turbulence. For the interaction between wind-driven waves and shear turbulence in the ocean, new wave-phase-resolved simulation approaches are developed to capture Langmuir cells. Lastly, wind turbulence over one and two progressive waves is simulated to elucidate the dynamics of turbulence coherent structures impacted by surface waves for improved understanding of wind-wave growth mechanism.

An approach based on reinfocement learning for the automated segmentation is presented. The approach consists of two modules:segmentation module and learning module. The segmentation module uses the region-growing algorithm combined with the smooth filtering and the morphological filtering to segment mammograms. The learning module uses the segmentation output as the feedback to learn to select the optimal parameter settings of the segmentation algorithm according to the image properties using reinforcement learning techniques. The approach can adapt itself to various kinds of mammograms through training and therefore obviates the tedious and error-prone tuning of parameter settings manually. Quantitative test results show that the approach is accurate for several kinds of mammograms. Compared to previously proposed approaches,the approach is more adaptable to different mammograms.

A new expression of the dispersion equation of the Lamb wave in an adhesive two-layered plate is presented. The bond rigidity of the adhesive plate is accounted for in terms of a spring model. The influence of the variations of the compliance constants of the spring on the dispersion feature of Lamb modes is numerically studied. The numerical results indicate that the deterioration of the bond rigidity may cause the phase velocity decrease and the frequency-shift for a given Lamb mode, thus having a possibility for the evaluation of the bonding state of the adhesive plate by using ultrasonic wave velocity measurements. The phase-tracing method is used to measure the phase velocities experimentally and the results for an adhesive plate of aluminium-aluminium are given to verify the theoretical predictions.
