Energy supply and release play an important role in individual neuron and neural network. In this paper, the electrical activities and Hamilton energy of neuron are investigated when external mixed signals(i.e., the periodic stimulus current and the periodic electromagnetic field) are imposed on the neuron under the electromagnetic induction. As a result, the Hamilton energy is much dependent on the mode transition, the multiple electric activity modes and the numerical analysis of Hamilton energy are more complicated under various parameters. When the periodic high-low frequency electromagnetic radiation is imposed in neuron, it is found that the electrical activities are more complex, and the changing of energy is obvious. In addition, the response of electrical activity and Hamilton energy is much dependent on the changing of amplitude A, B when the external high-low frequency signal is imposed on the neuron, meanwhile, the energy of bursting state is lower than the one of spiking state. It can be used for investigation about the energy coding in the neuron even the neuron networks.

To explore the composite process of B-CuO and B-Bi_(2)O_(3) two-component laminated sticks,obtain the corresponding sticks with good printing effect,and explore the energy release *** this study,boron,copper oxide,and bismuth trioxide powders were dispersed in the dispersed phase (DMF) using F_(2602) as a binder,and the construction of two-component B-CuO,B-Bi_(2)O_(3),three-component microcomposite,and three-component macro-composite sticks were realized with the help of double nozzle direct ink writing (DIW) technique *** resulting sticks were ignited by a nichrome wire energized with a direct current,and a high-speed camera system was used to record the combustion behavior of the sticks,mark the flame position,and calculate the rate of *** results showed that the B-CuO stick burning rate (42.11 mm·s^(-1)) was much higher than that of B-Bi_(2)O_(3)(17.84 mm·s^(-1)).The formulation with the highest CuO content (ω_(CuO)=58.7%) in the microscale composite of the sticks also had the fastest burning rate of 60.59 mm·s^(-1),as the CuO content decreased (ω_(CuO)=43.5%,29.3%),its burning rate decreased to 34.78 mm·s^(-1),37.97 mm·s^(-1).The stick with the highest copper oxide content(ω_(CuO)=60%) also possessed the highest burning rate (48.84 mm·s^(-1)) in the macro-composite sticks,and the burning rates of the macro-composite sticks with component spacing of 0.1 mm,0.2 mm,and 0.5 mm were 43.34 mm·s^(-1),48.84 mm·s^(-1),and 40.76 mm·s^(-1).

Quantifying the palaeoclimates of Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau is vital for understanding the uplift history of plateau and the evolution of Asian monsoon since Cenozoic. Recently, the Coexistence Approach(CA) has been employed to reconstruct the palaeoelevation and palaeoclimate of the plateau by several studies. However, the application of CA in mountainous areas and the realism of climate reconstructions via this method are seldom discussed,although the complexity of reconstructions is speculated. Here we reevaluated the realism of climate reconstruction using the CA with modern pollen samples from the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau, and try to explore the possible factors influencing the precipitation and temperature reconstructions by CA. We suggest that the long-distance transport pollen as a result of the Asian summer monsoon potentially significantly affects the reconstructions both for precipitation and temperature. The precipitation complexly interacting with snowmelt and permafrost thaw leads to the discrepancy between the reconstructed precipitation and the real value. The response temperature for blossoming of dwarfed plants on the plateau is mostly likely higher than the air temperature(usually measured at1.5 m above ground) due to energy flux or morphological adaptation of inflorescences during the growing season,causing the distortion of temperature reconstructions. Precipitation reconstruction is notoriously difficult as the establishers of CA have already suggested, but reconstructing the low temperatures may be even more challenging on Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau. Though all of the explorations in current paper are in a qualitative way, it offers an inspiration of how appropriately interpret the disagreements between CA results and the observations, and of how to obtain a reasonable reconstruction of palaeoclimate of the plateau.

Risk Factors, Clinical Features and Prognosis for Subtypes of Ischemic Stroke in a Chinese Population

It is unanimously accepted that stroke is a highly heterogeneous disorder. Different subtypes of ischemic stroke may have different risk factors, clinical features, and prognoses. The aim of this study was to evaluate the risk factors, clinical characteristics, and prognoses of different subtypes of ischemic stroke defined by the Trial of ORG10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment （TOAST） criteria. We prospectively analyzed the data from 530 consecutive patients who were admitted to our hospital with acute ischemic stroke within 7 days of stroke onset during the study period. Standardized data assessment was used and the cause of ischemic stroke was classified according to the TOAST criteria. Patients were followed up till 30 and 90 days after stroke onset. It was found that large-artery atherosclerosis was the most frequent etiology of stroke （37.4%）, and showed the highest male preponderance, the highest prevalence of previous transient ischemic attack, and the longest hospital stay among all subtypes. Small artery disease （36.4%） was associated with higher body mass index, higher plasma triglycerides, and lower plasma high-density lipoprotein cholesterol than cardioembolism. Cardioembolism （7.7%）, which was particularly common in the elderly （i.e., individuals aged 65 years and older）, showed the highest female preponderance, the highest prevalence of atrial fibrillation, the earliest presentation to hospital after stroke onset, the most severe symptoms on admission, the maximum complications associated with an adverse outcome, and the highest rate of stroke recurrence and mortality. Our results suggest that ischemic stroke should be regarded as a highly heterogeneous disorder. Studies involving risk factors, clinical features, and prognoses of ischemic stroke should differentiate between etiologic stroke subtypes.

Time delay and coupling strength are important factors that affect the synchronization of neural *** this study,a modular neural network containing subnetworks of different scales was constructed using the Hodgkin–Huxley(HH)neural model;i.e.,a small-scale random network was unidirectionally connected to a large-scale small-world network through chemical *** delays were found to induce multiple synchronization transitions in the *** increase in coupling strength also promoted synchronization of the network when the time delay was an integer multiple of the firing period of a single *** that time delays at different locations in a modular network may have different effects,we explored the influence of time delays within each subnetwork and between two subnetworks on the synchronization of modular *** found that when the subnetworks were well synchronized internally,an increase in the time delay within both subnetworks induced multiple synchronization transitions of their *** addition,the synchronization state of the small-scale network affected the synchronization of the large-scale *** was surprising to find that an increase in the time delay between the two subnetworks caused the synchronization factor of the modular network to vary periodically,but it had essentially no effect on the synchronization within the receiving *** analyzing the phase difference between the two subnetworks,we found that the mechanism of the periodic variation of the synchronization factor of the modular network was the periodic variation of the phase ***,the generality of the results was demonstrated by investigating modular networks at different scales.

BACKGROUND Knee joint pain and stiffness are the two main symptoms of knee osteoarthritis(OA)and thus restrict a patient’s activities,such as walking and walking up and *** lower body positive pressure(LBPP)treadmill as one of the emerging body weight support system devices brings new hope for exerciserelated rehabilitation for knee OA *** To investigate the biomechanical effects and the subjective clinical assessment of LBPP treadmill walking exercise when compared with conventional therapy in mild to moderate knee OA *** Eighteen patients with mild-to-moderate knee OA were recruited in this randomized controlled trial(RCT)*** eligible knee OA patients were randomly assigned to two groups:LBPP and control *** patients in the LBPP group performed an LBPP walking training program for 30 min/session per day,6 d per week for 2 wk whereas the patients in the control group performed walking on the ground for the same *** patients underwent clinical assessments and three-dimensional gait analysis at pre-and 2-wk *** The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index and visual analog scale scores in both the LBPP group and control group were found to decrease significantly at the post-treatment point than the pre-treatment point(LBPP:70.25±13.93 vs 40.50±11.86;3.88±0.99 vs 1.63±0.52;control:69.20±8.88 vs 48.10±8.67;3.80±0.79 vs 2.60±0.70,P<0.001).Moreover,compared with the control group,the LBPP group showed more improvements in walking speed(P=0.007),stride length(P=0.037),and knee range of motion(P=0.048)during walking,which represented more improvement in walking *** The results of our RCT study showed that the LBPP group has a greater effect on improving gait parameters than the conventional group,although there was no significant advantage in clinical *** finding indicates that LBPP treadmill walking training might be an effective approach for alleviating pai

研究了果蝇细胞内生物钟基因调节网络的分子噪声,特别讨论了生物钟系统处于略微远离振荡区域的稳态时分子噪声对于时钟蛋白的日夜节律振荡的影响.结果表明:(1)虽然时钟蛋白合成或者衰减的生化反应事件是在随机的时间间隔里随机发生的,但系统可以依赖自身固有的调节机理诱导出明显的日夜节律振荡;(2)分子噪声诱导的日夜节律振荡的相干性可以在合适的分子噪声水平下到达最佳,说明了相干共振现象的发生.

目的:挖掘海洋中药海螵蛸历代发展所积累的临床用药经验,为海螵蛸的临床应用和研发提供基础。方法:以《中医方剂大辞典》,《中华医典》作为方剂基本信息来源,筛选包含海洋中药海螵蛸方剂,应用频数分析及关联规则挖掘技术和关联网络构建技术进行分析。结果:共筛选方剂721首,涉及中药662味,与海螵蛸配伍频率最高的单味药为龙骨、当归、赤石脂,与鳖甲、附子配合多治疗疟疾,与当归配合治疗带下病;与蒲黄等配合治疗崩漏。关联网络显示,妇科和五官科病症如崩漏、带下病和脓耳等节点聚集性非常高,从混睛障节点的网络关系图可以看出,海螵蛸配伍冰片、白丁香等,以膏剂外用来治疗混睛障。结论:论文挖掘了历代医家积累的海螵蛸在功效主治、临床用量用法、配伍规律等方面的用药经验,补充了对海洋中药的认识,为海洋中药现代临床应用和新药研发提供了参考和基础。

Inhibitory immune receptors set thresholds for immune cell activation,and their deficiency predisposes a person to autoimmune ***,the agonists of inhibitory immune receptors remain largely unknown,representing untapped sources of treatments for autoimmune ***,we show that V-set and transmembrane domain-containing 1(VSTM1)is an inhibitory receptor and that its binding by the competent ligand soluble galectin-1(Gal1)is essential for maintaining neutrophil viability mediated by downregulated reactive oxygen species ***,in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),circulating Gal1 is oxidized and cannot be recognized by VSTM1,leading to increased intracellular reactive oxygen species levels and reduced neutrophil *** neutrophil function or death contributes significantly to the pathogenesis of SLE by providing danger molecules and autoantigens that drive the production of inflammatory cytokines and the activation of autoreactive ***,serum levels of glutathione,an antioxidant able to convert oxidized Gal1 to its reduced form,were negatively correlated with SLE disease *** together,our findings reveal failed inhibitory Gal1/VSTM1 pathway activation in patients with SLE and provide important insights for the development of effective targeted therapies.
