In this work,metal–semiconductor–metal solar-blind ultraviolet photoconductors were fabricated based on theβ-Ga_(2)O_(3) thin films which were grown on the c-plane sapphire substrates by molecular beam ***,the effects ofβ-Ga_(2)O_(3) annealing on both its material character-istics and the device photoconductivity were ***β-Ga_(2)O_(3) thin films were annealed at 800,900,1000,and 1100°C,***,the annealing time was fixed at 2 h,and the annealing ambients were oxygen,nitro-gen,and vacuum(4.9×10^(-4 )Pa),*** crys-talline quality and texture of theβ-Ga_(2)O_(3) thin films before and after annealing were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),showing that higher annealing temperature can result in a weaker intensity of(402)diffraction peak and a lower device ***,the vacuum-annealed sam-ple exhibits the highest photoresponsivity compared with the oxygen-and nitrogen-annealed samples at the same annealing *** addition,the persistent photoconductivity effect is effectively restrained in the oxygen-annealed sample even with the lowest photoresponsivity.

Fluorescence imaging can be employed in fields of medical treatment,astronomical exploration,and national defense *** fluorescence imaging often takes the single-photon techniques,which is vulnerable to background interference and ***,two-photon fluorescence imaging can achieve much higher-resolution fluorescence imaging for reducing scattering and deeper ***,by assembling the tetraphenylethylene backbones with nontoxic and non-noble K^(+)ions,compound 1([(Hdma)K(H_(2)ettc)]_(n),H_(4)ettc=4',4''',4''''',4'''''''-(ethene-1,1,2,2-tetrayl)tetrakis(([1,1'-biphenyl]-4-carboxylic acid)))with the crystallization-induced emissions exhibited charming fluorescence imaging under two-photon excitation microscopy(TPEM).Besides,luminescent powders based on compound 1 can achieve high-resolution fingerprint recognition,providing secure access control and identification for a novel authentication *** with the commercial fluorescent dyes coumarin-6,the as-synthesized compound 1 showed great solvent stability,indicating its durability against harsh ***,compound 1 shows mechanoluminescent properties for the perturbation of weak supramolecular interactions within ordered arrangements of the H_(2)ettc^(2−)*** novel compound has provided an important insight to the development of twophoton fluorescence imaging and advanced external-stimuli responsive materials.

The Preparation of Cationic Folic Acid and Its Application in Drug Delivery System

The cationic folic acid（CFA） was prepared by introducing triethylenetetramine into folic acid with EDCI/NHS and characterized by IR, NMR and mass spectra. It was found that approximately one of two carboxyls in the folic acid molecule was substituted to form CFA. The conversion of γ-carboxyl is found to be 59% higher than 30% of γ-carboxyl. The CFA and doxorubicin hydrochloride can be loaded on the ionic shell of PTX-encapsulated micelle to form CFA loaded binary drug carrier via static interaction in aqueous solutions. The successful loading was demonstrated by zeta potential measurement and the drug load amount（DLA） of CFA was measured by HPLC. In vitro cytotoxicity results revealed the CFA drug carrier showed higher cytotoxicity to cancer cell MDA-MB-321 than the binary drug carrier without CFA and the positive control, while it showed lower cytotoxicity to normal cell HUVEC than the positive control, and similar cytotoxicity with the binary drug carrier without CFA. These results as well as confocal laser scanning microscopy observation indicate the synthesized CFA drug carrier possesses active tumor-targeting property.

The effects of dielectric thin films on the performance of GaN-based high-electron-mobility transistors （HEMTs） were reviewed in this work. Firstly, the nonpolar dielectric thin films which act as both the surface passivation layers and the gate insulators of the high-frequency GaN-based high-electron-mobility transistors were presented. Furthermore, the influences of dielectric thin films on the electrical properties of two-dimensional electron gas （2DEG） in the A1GaN/GaN hetero-structures were ana- lyzed. It was found that the additional in-plane biaxial tensile stress was another important factor besides the change in surface potential profile for the device perfor- mance improvement of the A1GaN/GaN HEMTs with dielectric thin films as both passivation layers and gate dielectrics. Then, two kinds of polar gate dielectric thin films, the ferroelectric LiNbO3 and the fluorinated A1203, were compared for the enhancement-mode GaN-based HEMTs, and an innovative process was proposed. At last, high-permittivity dielectric thin films were adopted as passivation layers to modulate the electric field and accordingly increase the breakdown voltage of GaN-based HEMTs. Moreover, the polyimide embedded with Cr particles effectively increased the breakdown voltage of GaNbased HEMTs. Finally, the effects of high-permittivity dielectric thin films on the potential distribution in the drift region were simulated, which showed an expanded electric field peak at the drain-side edge of gate electrode.

In order to characterize optical turbulence,we have developed a single star SCIDAR(SSS)for measurement of the distribution of C2n with *** SSS consists of a 40 cm telescope and a CCD camera for fast sampling of stellar scintillation *** auto and cross-correlation functions of the single star images are computed,providing vertical profiles of optical turbulence intensity C2n(h)and wind speed V(h).Using this new SSS experiment,profiles of turbulence can be obtained from the ground to the top of atmosphere,allowing the determination of seeing,isoplanatic angle and coherence *** characteristics of atmospheric optical turbulence are important for active and passive imaging,astronomical site testing,adaptive optics,laser communications,target tracking and designation,and laser beam *** plan to improve the robotization of the SSS to be able to use it routinely even under harsh weather and altitude conditions that we expect to encounter on the high Tibetan plateau or at Dome A in *** will also be applied for the site testing campaign of the future Chinese extremely large telescope.

The conventional perception of astrocytes as mere supportive cells within the brain has recently been called into question by empirical evidence, which has revealed their active involvement in regulating brain function and encoding behaviors associated with ***, astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala have been found to play a role in the modulation of anxiety-like behaviors triggered by chronic stress. Nevertheless, the precise molecular mechanisms by which basolateral amygdala astrocytes regulate chronic stress–induced anxiety-like behaviors remain to be fully elucidated. In this study, we found that in a mouse model of anxiety triggered by unpredictable chronic mild stress, the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 was upregulated in the basolateral amygdala. Interestingly, our findings indicate that the targeted knockdown of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically within the basolateral amygdala astrocytes was able to rescue the anxiety-like behavior in mice subjected to stress. Furthermore, we found that the overexpression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, whether achieved through intracranial administration of excitatory amino acid transporter 2agonists or through injection of excitatory amino acid transporter 2-overexpressing viruses with GfaABC1D promoters, evoked anxiety-like behavior in mice. Our single-nucleus RNA sequencing analysis further confirmed that chronic stress induced an upregulation of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically in astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala. Moreover, through in vivo calcium signal recordings, we found that the frequency of calcium activity in the basolateral amygdala of mice subjected to chronic stress was higher compared with normal *** knocking down the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, the frequency of calcium activity was not significantly increased, and anxiety-like behavior was ob

The aims of the present study were to determine the effects of heparin-derived oligosaccharides(HDOs) on vascular intimal hyperplasia(IH) in balloon-injured carotid artery and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of action. An animal model was established by rubbing the endothelia within the common carotid artery(CCA) in male rabbits. The rabbits were fed a high-cholesterol diet. Arterial IH was determined by histopathological changes to the CCA. Serum lipids were detected using an automated biochemical analysis. Expressions of mR NAs for vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor(bF GF), vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1), scavenger receptor class B type I(SR-BI), and ATP-binding cassette transporter A1(ABCA-1) were analyzed using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction assays. Expressions of VEGF, VCAM-1, MCP-1, SR-BI and ABCA-1 proteins were analyzed by Western blotting. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays were used to quantify expression levels of VEGF and b FGF. Our results showed that administration of HDO significantly inhibited CCA histopathology and restenosis induced by balloon injury. The treatment with HDOs significantly decreased the m RNA and protein expression levels of VEGF, b FGF, VCAM-1, MCP-1, and SR-BI in the arterial wall; however, ABCA-1 expression level was elevated. HDO treatment led to a reduction in serum lipids(total cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density and low-density lipoproteins). Our results from the rabbit model indicated that HDOs could ameliorate IH and underlying mechanism might involve VEGF, b FGF, VCAM-1, MCP-1, SR-BI, and ABCA-1.
