Intravascular fasciitis involving the external jugular vein and subclavian vein:A case report

BACKGROUND Intravascular fasciitis(IVF)is a rare nodular fasciitis that often involves the layers and lumens of blood vessels;therefore,it is easily misdiagnosed as a malignant tumor with invasion into blood *** SUMMARY A 13-year-old boy was admitted due to a mass on the left side of his *** ultrasonography revealed a circular solid hypoechoic mass in the external jugular vein,and magnetic resonance imaging revealed an enhanced longitudinal masslike lesion in the left supraclavicular *** treatment was arranged and completed,histopathological analysis showed a large amount of spindle cell proliferation,and immunohistochemistry showed that the spindle cells were positive for the expression of vimentin,caldesmon,and smooth muscle actin and negative for the expression of S-100 protein,desmin,CD34,and c-kit;Ki-67 staining revealed a low proliferative index(5%-10%),which confirmed the differentiation characteristics of *** in situ hybridization detected the rearrangement of *** was subsequently *** IVF is characterized by intraluminal,intramural and extramural involvement of small to large arteries or *** the doctor has a deep understanding of the disease or suspects that there is an initial indicator,IVF may be confused with other intravascular malignancies,leading to unnecessary radical *** examination combined with histopathological examination can improve the diagnostic accuracy of this disease.

BACKGROUND Left cardiac myxoma(CM)is the most common benign tumor of primary cardiac tumors,but because of its special position caused by pathological physiology change,caused by the complications of the heavier,the surface is often accompanied by blood clots,once fall out,it causes peripheral vascular embolization,such as acute lower limb artery embo-lization,harmfulness is large,high morbidity,and easy to occur *** SUMMARY A 67-year-old male patient suddenly appeared numbness and weakness of the left lower limb and could not walk without obvious *** patient was finally diagnosed as left CM complicated with acute lower limb arterial embolism after completing cardiac ultrasound,computer tomography angiography,and histopathological analysis,such as hematoxylin-eosin stain staining,immunohistochemistry and special staining including alcian blue staining and periodic acid schiff *** thrombosis was removed successfully by femoral artery thrombectomy,postoperative numbness and weakness of the patient’s left lower limb disappeared,skin temperature became warm,and dorsal foot artery pulsation was *** patient was readmitted to the hospital 8 mo after discharge for left atrial mass resection,and was diagnosed as CM by postoperative histopathological *** Although CM is rare,it may be considered as the source of embolism in patients with acute limb *** loss of thrombus on the tumor and its surface may lead to repeated embolism of peripheral *** ultrasound is helpful for early ***,we use this case report to highlight left CM as an important cause of acute limb ischemia and to report our experience in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb arterial embolism caused by CM detachment.

Development and verification of the higher-order mode neutron flux calculation code HARMONY2.0

Higher-order modes of the neutron diffusion/transport equation can be used to study the temporal behavior of nuclear reactors and can be applied in modal analysis, transient analysis, and online monitoring of the reactor core. Both the deterministic method and the Monte Carlo(MC) method can be used to solve the higher-order modes. However, MC method, compared to the deterministic method, faces challenges in terms of computational efficiency and α mode calculation stability, whereas the deterministic method encounters issues arising from homogenization-related geometric and energy spectra *** on the higher-order mode diffusion calculation code HARMONY, we developed a new higher-order mode calculation code, HARMONY2.0, which retains the functionality of computing λ and α higher-order modes from HARMONY1.0, but enhances the ability to treat complex geometries and arbitrary energy spectra using the MC-deterministic hybrid two-step strategy. In HARMONY2.0, the mesh homogenized multigroup constants were obtained using OpenMC in the first step,and higher-order modes were then calculated with the mesh homogenized core diffusion model using the implicitly restarted Arnoldi method(IRAM), which was also adopted in the HARMONY1.0 code. In addition, to improve the calculation efficiency, particularly in large higher-order modes, event-driven parallelization/domain decomposition methods are embedded in the HARMONY2.0 code to accelerate the inner iteration of λ∕α mode using OpenMP. Furthermore, the higher-order modes of complex geometric models, such as Hoogenboom and ATR reactors for λ mode and the MUSE-4 experiment facility for the prompt α mode, were computed using diffusion theory.

Iodine is widely used in aqueous zinc batteries（ZBs） due to its abundant resources,low cost,and active redox *** addition to the active material in zinc-iodine batteries,iodine also plays an important role in other ZBs,such as regulating the electrochemical behavior of zinc ions,promoting the reaction kinetic and reversibility of other redox pairs,catalytic behaviors related to iodine reactions,coupling with other halogen ions,shuttle behaviors of polyiodides,***,there is currently a lack of comprehensive discussion on these ***,this review provides a comprehensive overview of the electrochemical behaviors of iodide in the aqueous *** effect of iodine ions on the Zn2+desolvation behaviors and the interfacial behaviors of Zn anode was *** redox pairs boosting other redox pairs,such as MnO2/Mn2+redox pair and vanadium redox pair to obtain high reversibility and capacity was also ***,the catalytic behaviors related to iodine reactions in aqueous ZBs,synergistic reaction with other halogen ions and suppression of shuttle behaviors for high performance zinc-iodine batteries were systematically ***,future prospects for designing effective iodine electrochemical behaviors with practicability are proposed,which will provide scientific guidance for the practical application of iodine-related aqueous ZBs.

Superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant siloxane-modified MgAl-LDHs coatings on magnesium alloy prepared under mild conditions

We have developed a superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-W/PFDTMS composite coating on the surface of Mg *** composite comprised a tungstate-intercalated(LDH-W)underlayer that was grown at low temperature(relative to hydrothermal reaction conditions)under atmospheric pressure and an outer polysiloxane layer created from a solution containing perfluorodecyltrimethoxysilane(PFDTMS)using a simple immersion *** successful intercalation of tungstate into the LDH phase and the following formation of the polysiloxane layer were confirmed through X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The corrosion resistance of the LDH-W film,both before and after the PFDTMS modification,was evaluated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),Tafel curves,and immersion *** results showed that Mg coated with LDH-W/PFDTMS exhibited significantly enhanced corrosion protection compared to the unmodified LDHW film,with no apparent signs of corrosion after exposure to 3.5wt%NaCl solution for 15 ***,the LDH-W/PFDTMS coating demonstrated superior superhydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties against water and several common beverages,as confirmed by static contact angle and water-repellency *** results offer valuable insights into preparing superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-based composite coatings on Mg alloy surfaces under relatively mild reaction conditions.

Vortex transmutation utilizes a periodic system,which not only enables the alteration of the topological charge(TC)of unstable input vortices but also facilitates their transformation into stable *** approach is crucial for investigating the characteristics of vortices in various wave ***,we achieve acoustic vortex TC transmutation by employing a welldesigned dual-structured plate external system(DPES).The interactions between the acoustic vortex and the finite-order discrete rotational symmetry lead to the transformation of its topological charge when complete rotational symmetry is broken to Nthorder discrete *** results experimentally demonstrate the acoustic vortex TC transmutation based on passive artificial structures,enabling numerous applications in particle manipulation and information multiplexing as well as advancing our understanding and control over free-space acoustic vortices.

Providing Robust and Low-Cost Edge Computing in Smart Grid:An Energy Harvesting Based Task Scheduling and Resource Management Framework

Recently,one of the main challenges facing the smart grid is insufficient computing resources and intermittent energy supply for various distributed components(such as monitoring systems for renewable energy power stations).To solve the problem,we propose an energy harvesting based task scheduling and resource management framework to provide robust and low-cost edge computing services for smart ***,we formulate an energy consumption minimization problem with regard to task offloading,time switching,and resource allocation for mobile devices,which can be decoupled and transformed into a typical knapsack ***,solutions are derived by two different ***,we deploy renewable energy and energy storage units at edge servers to tackle intermittency and instability ***,we design an energy management algorithm based on sampling average approximation for edge computing servers to derive the optimal charging/discharging strategies,number of energy storage units,and renewable energy *** simulation results show the efficiency and superiority of our proposed framework.

The evaluation of toxicity related to polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans(PCDD/Fs)and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls(DL-PCBs)is crucial for a comprehensive risk assessment in real-world exposure *** study employed a controlled feeding experiment to investigate the metabolic effects of dioxin-like compounds(DLCs)on laying hens via feed *** enriched with two concentrations(1.17 and 5.13 pg toxic equivalents(TEQ)/g dry weight(dw))were administered over 14 days,followed by 28 days of clean *** analyses of blood samples revealed significant metabolic variations between PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs exposed groups and controls,reflecting the induced metabolic *** changes were observed in sphingosine,palmitoleic acid,linoleate,linolenic acid,taurocholic acid,indole acrylic acid,and dibutyl phthalate levels,implying possible connections between PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs toxic effects and energy-neuronal imbalances,along with lipid accumulation and anomalous amino acid metabolism,impacting taurine ***,we identified three differential endogenous metabolites—L-tryptophan,indole-3-acetaldehyde,and indole acrylic acid—as potential ligands for the aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR),suggesting their role inmediating PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs *** comprehensive investigation provides novel insights into the metabolic alterations induced by PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs in laying hens,thereby enhancing our ability to assess risks associated with their exposure in human populations.

Spatial-temporal distribution and emission of urban scale air pollutants in Hefei based on Mobile-DOAS

As a significant city in the Yangtze River Delta regions,Hefei has experienced rapid changes in the sources of air pollution due to its high-speed economic development and urban ***,there has been limited research in recent years on the spatial-temporal distribution and emission of its atmospheric *** address this,this study conducted mobile observations of urban roads using the Mobile-DOAS instrument from June 2021 to May *** monitoring results exhibit a favourable consistent with TROPOMI satellite data and ground monitoring station ***,there were pronounced seasonal variations in air ***,high concentration of HCHO and NO_(2)were closely associated with traffic congestion on roadways,while heightened SO_(2)levels were attributed to winter heating and industrial *** study also revealed that with the implementation of road policies,the average vehicle speed increased by 95.4%,while the NO concentration decreased by 54.4%.In the estimation of urban NO_(x)emission flux,it was observed that in temporal terms,compared with inventory data,the emissions calculated viamobile measurements exhibitedmore distinct seasonal patterns,with the highest emission rate of 349 g/sec in winter and the lowest of 142 g/sec in *** spatial terms,the significant difference in emissions between the inner and outer ring roads also suggests the presence of the city’s primary NO_(x)emission sources in the area between these two *** study offers data support for formulating the next phase of air pollution control measures in urban areas.
