BACKGROUND Rebleeding after recovery from esophagogastric variceal bleeding(EGVB)is a severe complication that is associated with high rates of both incidence and *** its clinical importance,recognized prognostic models that can effectively predict esophagogastric variceal rebleeding in patients with liver cirrhosis are *** To construct and externally validate a reliable prognostic model for predicting the occurrence of esophagogastric variceal *** This study included 477 EGVB patients across 2 cohorts:The derivation cohort(n=322)and the validation cohort(n=155).The primary outcome was rebleeding events within 1 *** least absolute shrinkage and selection operator was applied for predictor selection,and multivariate Cox regression analysis was used to construct the prognostic *** validation was performed with bootstrap *** assessed the discrimination,calibration and accuracy of the model,and performed patient risk *** Six predictors,including albumin and aspartate aminotransferase concentrations,white blood cell count,and the presence of ascites,portal vein thrombosis,and bleeding signs,were selected for the rebleeding event prediction following endoscopic treatment(REPET)*** predicting rebleeding within 1 year,the REPET model ex-hibited a concordance index of 0.775 and a Brier score of 0.143 in the derivation cohort,alongside 0.862 and 0.127 in the validation ***,the REPET model revealed a significant difference in rebleeding rates(P<0.01)between low-risk patients and intermediate-to high-risk patients in both *** We constructed and validated a new prognostic model for variceal rebleeding with excellent predictive per-formance,which will improve the clinical management of rebleeding in EGVB patients.

Influence of stress and high temperature treatment on the permeability evolution behavior of sandstone

Permeability is an important property of rock in gas and oil exploration engineering, environment temperature and geo-stress have great influence on it. This paper aims to analyze the influence of thermal treatment on the permeability of sandstone under triaxial compression. Based on the gas seepage tests on a sandstone specimen after different thermal treatment temperatures with different gas pressures, hydrostatic stresses and deviatoric stresses, the thermal effect on physical property of sandstone is firstly analyzed. The results show that the mass of the sandstone specimen decreases with the increase of temperature, some spalling damage and tensile crack occur on the lateral surface of the specimen at 400℃. According to the seepage test results with various gas pressures, an exponential relationship has been found between the permeability coefficient and temperature. The permeability coefficient is approximately 100 times as large as the initial value when the temperature increases from 20℃ to 800℃. The permeability evolution of the heated sandstone under hydrostatic and deviatoric compression has also been analyzed. A simplified double pore texture model is proposed which can well describe the permeability evolution of sandstone under compression with hydrostatic stress and deviatoric stress, it can be helpful to estimate the permeability of thermal treated sandstone under elastic triaxial compression.

Evolutional AtHtude Based on Option Prioritization for Conflict Analysis of Urban Transport Planning in Pakistan

This paper constructs a dynamic conflict model that considers Decision Makers'(DMs)evolutional attitude using the option *** proposed evolutional attitude approach is based on the framework of the Graph Model for Conflict Resolution(GMCR).Compared with the existing state-based preference,the option prioritization is a more convenient and efficient approach to analyze larger models with consideration of the evolutional attitude,which exists broadly in the evolutional conflicts in *** study reveals how the evolutional attitude of a DM succeeds in the overall evolution of *** analysis unfolds that DMs change their attitude(s)consequent upon the changes in DMs and options available to them as conflict evolves from one level to the *** changes in attitude of DMs during dynamic conflict situation have substantial effects on the equilibrium outcomes of a *** proposed evaluation attitude-based approach is employed to analyze the conflict between the Punjab Government(G)and Heritage Campaigner and the Public(P)in Pakistan that appeared due to the inappropriate design,planning,and construction of an urban transport system project in Lahore,*** present study demonstrates the modeling procedure of a two-level evolutional attitude-based conflict *** results of the stability analysis reveal that improper(negative)attitude may result in undesirable and unexpected consequences,such as project temporalities and *** research provides a foundation for future research in urban project planning that employs strategic ways to avoid disputes caused by DMs'attitudes.

Based on the option prioritization in graph model for conflict resolution of two decision makers(DMs),new logical and matrix representations of four stability concepts for DMs′attitude are *** logical representation of attitude is defined,and converted to the matrix form in order to develop a decision support system(DSS)*** with existing definitions of DMs′attitude based on states,the proposed definitions of attitude based on options are convenient and more effective to generate preferences since that of states can be significantly larger than that of options in a large *** addition,it is easier to obtain the information of the prioritization of option statements than to obtain preference of states for *** proposed representations are applied to the process conflict during aircraft manufacturing to demonstrate the efficiency of the new approach.

Improved H-infinity channel estimator based on EM for MIMO-OFDM systems

H-infinity estimator is generally implemented in timevariant state-space models, but it leads to high complexity when the model is used for multiple input multiple output with orthogo- hal frequency division multiplexing （MIMO-OFDM） systems. Thus, an H-infinity estimator over time-invariant system models is pro- posed, which modifies the Krein space accordingly. In order to avoid the large matrix inversion and multiplication required in each OFDM symbol from different transmit antennas, expectation maximization （EM） is developed to reduce the high computational load. Joint estimation over multiple OFDM symbols is used to resist the high pilot overhead generated by the increasing number of transmit antennas. Finally, the performance of the proposed estimator is enhanced via an angle-domain process. Through performance analysis and simulation experiments, it is indicated that the pro- posed algorithm has a better mean square error （MSE） and bit error rate （BER） performance than the optimal least square （LS） estimator. Joint estimation over multiple OFDM symbols can not only reduce the pilot overhead but also promote the channel performance. What is more, an obvious improvement can be obtained by using the angle-domain filter.

On the use of H-inf criterion in channel estimation and precoding in massive MIMO systems

In this paper, a channel estimation(CE) and precoding scheme by using H-infinity(H-inf) criterion for mitigation of pilot contamination(PC) in massive multiple input multiple output(MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems is investigated. Firstly, different thresholds in H-inf CE and precoding are considered. Secondly, asymptotic analysis is presented to simplify the H-inf precoding, which shows that the complexity of an order of magnitude is reduced. Thirdly, approximate downlink achievable data rates per user are studied for different CE and precoding schemes, such as H-inf and minimum mean square error(MMSE) CE, MMSE, zero-forcing(ZF) and H-inf precoding. The analysis shows that the proposed scheme can provide dual mitigation to the PC. That is, the H-inf CE mitigates the PC by adjusting its thresholds, and the H-inf precoding is utilized to suppress the PC by considering inter-cell interference. The numerical results show that joint use of H-inf CE and H-inf precoding outperforms existing schemes in terms of mitigation to the PC.
