Ischemic stroke resulting from atherosclerosis(particularly in the carotid artery)is one of the major subtypes of stroke and has a high incidence of *** lipid homeostasis,lipid deposition,local macrophage infiltration,smooth muscle cell proliferation,and plaque rupture are the main pathological processes of atherosclerotic ischemic ***,macrophages,endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells are the main cell types participating in these *** inhibiting the expression of the target genes in these cells,microRNAs play a key role in regulating lipid disorders and atherosclerotic ischemic *** this article,we listed the microRNAs implicated in the pathology of atherosclerotic ischemic stroke and aimed to explain their pro-or antiatherosclerotic *** article provides an update on the potential diagnostic use of miRNAs for detecting growing plaques and impending clinical ***,we provide a perspective on the therapeutic use of local microRNA delivery and discuss the challenges for this potential therapy.

Density effect and intraspecific competition in a leaf-mining moth on bamboo leaves

When confined to a single leaf, the larvae of most leafminers should suffer intense intraspecific competition. The survival and performance of individuals are expected to decline with increasing larval density within a leaf, showing a negative density-dependent effect. The maximum density of an Elachista Treitschke(Lepidoptera:Elachistidae) miner on Indocalamus tessellatus(Munro)Keng f.(Poaceae: Bambusoideae) under natural conditions can be greater than 40 per leaf, making this a good system for studying intraspecific competition and density *** counted the number of leaves with different mine densities in the field and found a clumped distribution of leafminer larvae among host leaves. The emergence rates of pupae(and last-instar larvae), adults and parasitoids were inversely correlated with larval density. Pupal weight and adult weight also showed negative relationships with larval density. However, pairwise tests showed that there might be no differences in pupal or adult weight at larval densities of 1–10 mines per leaf, indicating that densitydependent effects are more obvious at densities greater than 10 mines per leaf. Intraspecific competition could lead to stable density and consistent body size in surviving individual insects, which would help maintain a sustainable population size. The density threshold could be an indicator of the balance between intraspecific competitive detriments and conspecific aggregation benefits; however, the validity of the threshold density hypothesis requires further testing and confirmation.

This paper focuses on optimally determining the existence of connected paths between some given nodes in random ring-based *** as a fundamental underlying structure in network modeling,ring topology appears as commonplace in many realistic *** this,we consider graphs composed of rings,with some possible connected paths between *** prior knowledge of the exact node permutations on rings,the existence of each edge can be unraveled through edge testing at a unit cost in one *** problem examined is that of determining whether the given nodes are connected by a path or separated by a cut,with the minimum expected costs *** the problem into different cases based on different topologies of the ring-based networks,we propose the corresponding policies that aim to quickly seek the paths between nodes.A common feature shared by all those policies is that we stick to going in the same direction during edge searching,with edge testing in each step only involving the test between the source and the node that has been tested *** simple searching rule,interestingly,can be interpreted as a delightful property stemming from the neat structure of ring-based networks,which makes the searching process not rely on any sophisticated *** prove the optimality of the proposed policies by calculating the expected cost incurred and making a comparison with the other class of *** effectiveness of the proposed policies is also verified through extensive simulations,from which we even disclose three extra intriguing findings:i)in a onering network,the cost will grow drastically with the number of designated nodes when the number is small and will grow slightly when that number is large;ii)in ring-based network,Depth First is optimal in detecting the connectivity between designated nodes;iii)the problem of multi-ring networks shares large similarity with that of two-ring networks,and a larger number of ties between ri

A novel layered nanocomposite was fabricated by the self-assembly of TiNbOs-nanosheets and 5,10,15,20- tetrakis（N-methylpyridinium-4-yl）porphyrinatocobalt（III）（CoTMPyP）. The product was characterized by a variety of analytical techniques such as XRD, EDX, Zeta potential, AFM, UV-vis, IR and SEM, the guest species were intercalated into the interlayer gallery of KTiNbO5 successfully. The electrochemical property of TiNbO5-CoTMPyP as an electrode modifying material was examined by cyclic voltammetry test in PBS solution （pH = 7）, and the hybrid exhibited excellent electrocatalytical property towards oxygen reduction with the peak potential shifting from -0.703 V （bare GCE） to -0.278 V （modified electrode）. The result also indicated that the oxygen molecule was reduced to H2O2 by a two-electron process.

Research on Lamelllbranchiate fossils of the Huanghai Sea started rather late in China and data on this subject are scarce. During the large-scale investigation of the Huanghai Sea sediment in the late 1970s, a large number of surface and core samples of the sea-floor sediment were obtained and a considerable number of Lamellibranchiatc fossils were found. One-step electrodeposition fabrication of Ni_3S_2 nanosheet arrays on Ni foam as an advanced electrode for asymmetric supercapacitors

Ni3S2 nanosheet(NS) arrays on Ni foam were fabricated by a simple one-step electrodeposition strategy, and used as a kind of electrode material for asymmetric supercapacitors. The Ni3S2 NS arrays are interconnected, which can be regarded as bridges between these individual nanoparticle units. The electrochemical performances were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry techniques in a three-electrode system. The Ni3S2 NS arrays display a specific capacitance of 773.6 F g^-1 at 1 A g^-1, and excellent rate property of 84.3% at 10 A g^-1. The performance of the Ni3S2 NS arrays was further investigated in an asymmetric supercapacitor for potential practical application. The asymmetric supercapacitor using the Ni3S2 electrode and reduced graphene oxide electrode as positive and negative electrodes, respectively, exhibits an energy density of 41.2 W h kg^-1 at 1.6 kW kg^-1. When up to 16 kW kg^-1, it holds 25.3 W h kg^-*** excellent electrochemical performances are attributed to the improved electronic conductivity and rich redox reaction sites from Ni3S2 NS arrays. Our results indicate that the Ni3S2 NS arrays have great potential for supercapacitors.

Multicomponent opportunistic maintenance model based on cost-effectiveness

With difficulties in maintaining multicomponent systems of wind turbines and formulating economical and reasonable maintenance strategies,a dynamic opportunistic maintenance strategy of multicomponent systems is applied in terms of economic relevance and opportunistic maintenance among various components.A preventive maintenance model based on cost-effectiveness is proposed by incorporating cost-effectiveness analysis into the multicomponent preventive maintenance *** failure rate recovery degree is used to describe the effects of imperfect maintenance and *** the reliability of the component reaches the threshold of preventive or opportunistic maintenance,a reasonable maintenance method is selected on the basis of the cost-effectiveness ratio of the failure rate.A case study is conducted by taking four components of a wind turbine as the research object and comparing them with the opportunistic maintenance model without considering *** show that the total maintenance cost is reduced by 373600 yuan,indicating that the preventive opportunistic maintenance based on cost-effectiveness is more economical and can provide a theoretical basis for formulating a preventive maintenance plan.
