As a novel class of metallic materials, bulk metallic glasses(BMGs) have attracted a great deal of attention owing to their technological promise for practical engineering applications. In nature, biological materials exhibit inherent multifunctional integration, which provides some inspiration for scientists and engineers to construct multifunctional artificial materials. In this contribution, inspired by superhydrophobic self-cleaning lotus leaves, multifunctional bulk metallic glasses(BMG) materials have been fabricated through the thermoplastic forming-based process followed by the SiO_2/soot deposition. To mimic the microscale papillae of the lotus leaf, the BMG micropillar with a hemispherical top was first fabricated using micro-patterned silicon templates based on thermoplastic forming. The deposited randomly distributed SiO_2/soot nanostructures covered on BMG micropillars are similar to the branch-like nanostructures on papillae of the lotus leaf. Micro-nanoscale hierarchical structures endow BMG replica with superhydrophobicity, a low adhesion towards water, and self-cleaning, similar to the natural lotus leaf. Furthermore, on the basis of the observation of the morphology of BMG replica in the Si mould, the formation mechanism of BMG replica was proposed in this work. The BMG materials with multifunction integration would extend their practical engineering applications and we expect this method could be widely adopted for the fabrication of other multifunctional BMG surfaces.

Characteristics and quality of clinical practice guidelines for diabetic kidney disease: a systematic review

OBJECTIVE: To assess the quality of Clinical practice guidelines(CPGs) in the context of diabetic kidney disease(DKD) and determine whether any factors affect the quality. METHODS: We searched eight databases along with five international and national organizations to develop or archive guidelines from their inception to July 2023, with an additional search of ***. And the authoritative organizations related to nephrology. CPGs and consensus statements created using direct differential diagnosis or therapy for DKD were included without language restrictions. Their quality was evaluated by four reviewers using the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation Ⅱ(AGREE Ⅱ) instrument. Along with the item and domain scores, the guideline was also allocated an overall quality score, which ranged from 1(lowest possible quality) to 7(highest possible quality). Moreover, an overall recommendation for use was also assigned(“recommended”, “recommended with modifications” or “not recommended”). RESULTS: A total of 16 CPGs were included, of which 14 were from Asia and the remaining two from Europe. These two CPGs were updated in the third version. Six CPGs were recommended for use because their primary domains scored in the medium or high category. Furthermore, five CPGs were recommended with modifications as the stakeholder involvement, applicability, and editorial independence domains were evaluated as low categories. In all domains, the lowest average score was for rigour of development(33%), followed by application(36%), and stakeholder involvement(51%). The highest average score was for scope and purpose(79%), followed by clarity of presentation(75%). None of the CPGs considered the patient's viewpoint, and six of 16 CPGs did not use any grading system to translate the evidence into recommendations. Additionally, only three of 16 CPGs shared search strategy, and eight of 16 CPGs did not declare a funding source. 目的观察归脾培元汤联合艾灸治疗晚期癌症恶病质脾肾两虚证患者的临床疗效。方法将80例晚期癌症恶病质脾肾两虚证患者按照随机数字表法分为2组,对照组40例在常规营养支持基础上予醋酸甲地孕酮分散片口服治疗,治疗组40例在常规营养支持基础上予归脾培元汤联合艾灸足三里、涌泉穴治疗。2组均治疗4周。比较2组治疗前后中医证候评分、细胞免疫功能(T淋巴细胞亚群CD3^(+)、CD4^(+)、CD8^(+)及CD4^(+)/CD8^(+))、营养学指标[血红蛋白(Hgb)、白蛋白(ALB)、前白蛋白(PA)、瘦素(LP)、体质量],并统计2组疗效。结果治疗组总有效率77.50%(31/40),对照组总有效率55.00%(22/40),治疗组临床疗效优于对照组(P<0.05)。2组治疗后中医证候各项评分及总分均较本组治疗前降低(P<0.05),且治疗组治疗后食少纳呆、体倦乏力、腰膝酸软、神疲懒言及中医证候总分均低于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗组治疗后CD3^(+)、CD4^(+)、CD4^(+)/CD8^(+)均较本组治疗前升高(P<0.05),CD8^(+)降低(P<0.05),且治疗组治疗后CD3^(+)、CD4^(+)、CD4^(+)/CD8^(+)均高于对照组(P<0.05),CD8^(+)低于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗组治疗后Hgb、ALB、PA、LP、体质量均较本组治疗前升高(P<0.05),且治疗组治疗后均高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论归脾培元汤联合艾灸治疗能够缓解晚期癌症恶病质脾肾两虚证患者临床症状,增加体质量,提高临床疗效,可能与调节细胞免疫功能、改善营养状况等因素有关。

Early Ordovician-Middle Silurian Subduction-Closure of the Proto-Tethys Ocean:Evidence from the Qiaerlong Pluton at the Northwestern Margin of the West Kunlun Orogenic Belt,NW China

Early Paleozoic magmatism in the West Kunlun Orogenic Belt(WKOB)preserves important information about the tectonic evolution of the Proto-Tethys Ocean.This paper reports whole-rock compositions,zircon and apatite U-Pb dating,and zircon Hf isotopes for the Qiaerlong Pluton(QEL)at the northwestern margin of WKOB,with the aim of elucidating the petrogenesis of the pluton and shedding insights into the subduction-collision process of this oceanic slab.The QEL is mainly composed of Ordovician quartz monzodiorite(479±3 Ma),quartz monzonite(467–472 Ma),and syenogranite(463±4 Ma),and is intruded by Middle Silurian peraluminous granite(429±20 Ma)and diabase(421±4 Ma).Zirconε_(Hf)(t)values reveal that quartz monzodiorites(+2.1 to+9.9)and quartz monzonites(+0.6 to+6.8)were derived from a mixed source of juvenile crust and older lower crust,and syenogranites(−5.6 to+4.5)and peraluminous granites(−2.9 to+2.0)were generated from a mixed source of lower crust and upper crust;diabases had zirconε_(Hf)(t)values ranging from−0.3 to+4.1,and contained 463±5 Ma captured zircon and 1048±39 Ma inherited zircon,indicating they originated from enriched lithospheric mantle and were contaminated by crustal materials.The Ordovician granitoids are enriched in LILEs and light rare-earth elements,and depleted in HFSEs with negative Nb,Ta,P,and Ti anomalies,suggesting that they formed in a subduction environment.Middle Silurian peraluminous granites have the characteristics of leucogranites with high SiO_(2)contents(74.92 wt.%–75.88 wt.%)and distinctly negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.03–0.14),indicating that they belong to highly fractionated granite and were formed in a post-collision extension setting.Comparative analysis of these results with other Early Paleozoic magmas reveals that the Proto-Tethys ocean closed before the Middle Silurian and its southward subduction resulted in the formation of QEL.

Paleoproterozoic A-type granites are widely distributed in the southern margin of the North China Craton(SNCC),providing important information for understanding the Paleoproterozoic tectonic regimes in this area.This paper reports newly obtained whole-rock compositions and zircon U-Pb ages for the Tieluping syenogranite porphyry(TLP)and Huoshenmiao alkali granite porphyry(HSM)in the SNCC.Zircons from the TLP and HSM have U-Pb ages of 1805±12 and 1792±14 Ma,respectively.These ages are taken to date the emplacement of these intrusions.They had high total alkali contents(K_(2)O+Na_(2)O>7.13 wt.%),with high 10000×Ga/Al ratios(3.06–3.41)and Zr+Y+Nb+Ce values(709 ppm–910 ppm)as well as high zircon saturation temperatures(864–970℃),indicative of A-type granite affinities.High Y/Nb(1.75–3.32),Ce/Nb(7.72–9.72),and Yb/Ta(2.89–5.60)ratios suggested that TLP and HSM belonged to the A2-type granite.The negative whole rockε_(Nd)(t)values(−8.4 to−6.6)and negative zirconε_(Hf)(t)values(−15.9 to−6.3)confirmed that TLP and HSM were likely generated by the partial melting of an ancient continental crust.TheεHf(t)(−7.4 to+4.0)values of inherited zircons in the TLP suggested that they were derived from the partial melting of Archean basement rocks.Considering the geochemical similarity of the 1.80 Ga A-type granitoids in the SNCC,we propose that the TLP and HSM were formed in a post-collisional regime that was likely associated with the break-off of the Paleoproterozoic subducted slab.Upwelling of the asthenosphere provided huge heat to generate the regional 1.80 Ga A-type granite in the SNCC.

Sodium polyacrylate was synthesized with acrylic acid as the monomer, and sodium bisulfate and ammonium persulfate as the initiator, by means of aqueous solution polymerization. The factors influencing the properties of moisture absorption, such as monomer concentration, dosage of initiator, and reaction temperature were systematically investigated. The experimental results indicate that the moisture-absorbing property of this polymer was better than other traditional material, such as silica gel, and molecular sieve. The best reaction condition and formula are based on the orthogonal experiment design. The optimum moisture absorbency of sodium polyacrylate reaches 1.01 g/g. The mathematical correlation of this polymer with various factors and moisture absorbency is obtained based on the multiple regression analysis. The moisture content intuitive analysis table shows that neutralization degree has the most significant influence on moisture absorbency, followed by monomer concentration and reaction temperature, while other factors have less influence.
