The combination of Pt^2＋, benzoquinone and NaNO2 forms an electron-transfer chain, which leads to the oxidation of methane by O2 in CF3COOH aqueous solution. The overall turnover number per hour （TOF） of methane at 120 ℃ is 0.5 h^-1, however, only about one fourth （23%） of methane is converted to the desired product of methanol in the formation of CF3COOCH3. The over-oxidation of methane to CO2, over the catalyst with the Pt^2＋ species immobilized via 2,2＇-bipyridyl as a ligand on the silica substrate, is depressed distinctly. Under the same conditions, the conversion to methanol dominates, and no CO2 is observed, on account of the over-oxidation of methane, as confirmed by the isotope experiment.

Heat shock proteins 10/60(hsp10/60)are a family of conserved ubiquitously expressed heat shock proteins which are produced by cells in response to exposure to stressful *** the chaperone and housekeeping functions,they are also known to be involved in immune response during bacterial *** this study,we identified and annotated 10 hsp10/60 genes through bioinformatic analysis in Japanese flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus).Among them one member of hsp10(hspe)family and nine members of hsp60(hspd)family were *** and selection pressure analysis showed that the hsp10/60 genes were evolutionarily constrained and their function was ***,hsp10/60 genes were involved in different embryonic and larval stages and acted as the sentinel role in an unchallenged *** addition,we also observed the expression patterns of hsp10/60 genes after Edwardsiella tarda infection,for the first time in Japanese *** out of 10 genes were differentially expressed after bacterial challenges,the significantly regulated expressions of flounder hsp10/60 genes after bacterial infections suggested their involvement in immune response in *** results provide valuable information for clarifying the evolutionary relationship,and early insights of the immune functions of hsp10/60 genes in Japanese flounder.

Interleukin-17(IL-17),a prototype member of IL-17 family,plays an important role in defending against extracellular pathogens as a pro-inflammatory *** function and distribution of IL-17 have been extensively studied in many ***,few study has focused on the role of IL-17 in invertebrates,especially in *** this study,an IL-17 homolog was identified in Octopus ocellatus,which was designated as *** phylogenetic analysis showed that OoIL-17 is clustered well with other invertebrate IL-17,indicating it is highly similar with the IL-17 of other *** expression of OoIL-17 gene was analyzed with qRT-PCR in a variety of healthy tissues and the hemocytes infected with Vibro anguillarum or Micrococcus *** mRNA of OoIL-17 gene is constitutively expressed at different levels in all examined tissues of healthy ***,including mantle,stomach,hemocytes,muscle,gonad,hepatopancreas,systemic heart and *** lowest expression was observed in mantle while the highest was observed in *** expression level of OoIL-17 gene is significantly up-regulated in *** hemocytes upon infection with *** and ***,indicating its active involvement in the host immune response against bacterial *** results laid the foundation for further understanding the innate immune mechanisms of IL-17 in *** and mollusks.

Novel Functions of Interleukin-1 Beta in Spotted Halibut(Verasper variegatus) at Its Embryonic and Metamorphic Stages

Interleukin-lbeta （IL-1β） is a cytokine involved in the control of inflammatory responses. The functions of IL-1β have been extensively studied in many vertebrates. However, few studies focused on the functions of IL-1β in the spotted halibut （Verasper variegatus）, an endangered aquatic fish that easily suffers from bacterial and viral infections. We first cloned and sequenced the IL-1β gene from V. variegatus （VvIL-1β）. Its conservative interleukin-1 propeptide and interleukin-1/18 domains corresponding regions, characteristics of the IL-1 protein family and TA-rich motifs relating to inflammatory responses were similar to those of the IL-1β genes from other teleost and mammals. The phylogenetic analysis showed that VvIL-1β was homologous to the IL-1β gene of other vertebrates. Treatment with pathogen-associated molecular patterns （PAMPs） induced a significant and rapid up-regulation of VvIL-1β expression in the peripheral blood leukocytes （PBLs）, revealing that VvIL-1β is actively involved in the host ilmnune responses against bacterial and viral pathogens. The expression level of VvIL-1β was relatively high in the PBLs, gill, and intestine, indicating the immunological function of VvIL-1β . VvIL-1β also had interesting expression patterns at specific developmental stages, implying that the IL-1β of flatfishes may have some novel functions during embryonic development and metamorphosis. The 3D structure prediction also provided information about how VvIL-113 interacts with its receptor protein. These results suggested that VvIL-1β may have multiple functions in V. variegatus and provided us valuable information for understanding the novel functions of IL- 1β.

Neurogenesis is an important progress wherein the neural stem cells(NSCs) differentiate into functional neurons under conductive conditions. Neurogenesis occurs continuously in different areas of the central neural system in adult teleosts compared with adult mammals. Therefore, NSC cell lines must be established to offer a valuable in vitro system for studies on neurogenesis and other related functions. In this study, four cell lines designated as PoB1, PoB2, PoBf and PoBh were established from the brain of the Japanese flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. The cell lines were sub-cultured over 150 times and still grew well in DMEM/F12 medium at 24℃. PoB1, PoB2, PoBf and PoBh were identified as neural stem/progenitor cell lines on the basis of the mRNA expression of nestin and/or aldh111 or slc6 a4 and the formation of neurospheres. The cells transfected with the pEGFP-C1 plasmid showed fluorescent signals with distinct reagent dependencies. The established cell lines from the brain of P. olivaceus offer a valuable system in vitro for the study of neurogenesis, fish neural regulation and endocrinology-related functions.

With the rapid development of oil,energy,power and other industries,CO_(2) emissions rise sharply,which will cause a large amount of CO_(2) in the air be absorbed by the ocean and lead to ocean *** growth and development of organisms can be seriously affected by acidified *** esculenta is a mollusk with high nutritional and economic value and is widely cultured in offshore waters of *** are the early life forms of the organism and are more vulnerable to changes in the external *** low pH will lead to some adverse reactions in larvae,which will affect metabolism,immune response and other life *** this study,we sequenced the transcriptome of *** subjected to acidified seawater stress and identified 1072differentially expressed genes(DEGs).The detected atypical expression of DEGs substantiates cellular malformation and translocation in *** under low pH ***,this also substantiates the notable impact of ocean acidification on *** DEGs were used for functional enrichment analysis of GO and KEGG,and the top twenty items of the biological process classification in GO terms and 11 KEGG signaling pathways were significantly ***,the constructed proteinprotein interaction network(PPI)was used to analyze protein-protein interactions,and 12 key DEGs and 3 hub genes were *** reliability of 12 genes was verified by quantitative RT-PCR.A comprehensive analysis of the KEGG signaling pathway and PPI revealed that ocean acidification leads to abnormalities in lipid metabolism in *** larvae,which can lead to cancer development and metastasis,accompanied by some degree of *** results of the study will help to further investigate the physiological processes of *** when stimulated by ocean acidification,and provide a reference to cope with the captive breeding of *** affected by acidification.

Ti-Cr- and Ti-Mn-based alloys were prepared to be low- and high-pressure stage metals for a double-stage super-high-pressure metal hydride hydrogen compressor. Their crystallographic characteristics and hydrogen storage properties were investigated. The alloy pair Ti0.9Zr0.1Mn1.4- Cr0.35V0.2Fe0.05/TiCr1.55Mn0.2Fe0.2 was optimized based on the comprehensive performance of the studied alloys. The product hydrogen with a pressure of 100 MPa could be produced from 4 MPa feed gas when hot oil was used as a heat reservoir.

GATA4,as a member of the GATA transcription factor family,plays a significant role in lineage specification and trans-differentiation of cells by regulating target gene *** this study,the potential transcription factor binding sites in the pro-moter of Paralichthys olivaceus sox2 gene were analyzed,and a GATA4-binding motif was identified.A cleaved amplified poly-morphic sequence-based binding assay experiment was performed,and the results showed a significant binding process between the Homo sapiens GATA4 recombinant protein and the DNA fragment of *** sox2 *** reporter assay revealed that GATA4 could improve the activity of the *** sox2 *** of *** GATA4 could also increase the sox2 mRNA expression level in flounder brain ***,our results indicate that sox2 is a target gene of GATA4 in ***2 is implicated in the maintenance of stem cell pluripotency and can reprogram differentiated cells to iPS *** addition,sox2 is involved in the development of the central nervous system(CNS).Therefore,this study may provide a reference for exploring the function of *** GATA4 in the regulation of pluripotent stem cells and the development of the CNS.

The purpose of this study was to compare pre-service teachers’views of ethical issues in assessment practices in the US and *** group interviews were conducted among 16 pre-service teachers from the US and 15 pre-service teachers from *** indicated that the inclusion of effort in grading is a key issue for the pre-service teachers in both the US and *** pre-service teachers have more consistent views with experts regarding using multiple assessment methods and communications about ***-service teachers in both countries appeared to have consistent views with experts regarding the confidentiality and standardized test *** findings of this study can help build guidelines regarding ethical issues in classroom assessment.
