Recently,the negative differential thermal resistance effect was discovered in a homojunction made of a negative thermal expansion material,which is very promising for realizing macroscopic thermal *** to the Monte Carlo phonon simulation to deal with grain boundaries,we introduce positive temperature-dependent interface thermal resistance in the modified Lorentz gas model and find negative differential thermal resistance *** the homojunction,we reproduce a pair of equivalent negative differential thermal resistance effects in different temperature gradient *** the heterojunction,we realize the unidirectional negative differential thermal resistance effect,and it is accompanied by the super thermal rectification *** this new way to achieve high-performance thermal devices is a new direction,and will provide extensive reference and guidance for designing thermal devices.

Anatase TiO_(2) is a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries(liBs)owing to its low cost and ***,the intrinsically kinetic limits seriously hindered its lithium-ion storage *** we present that anatase TiO_(2) with rich oxygen vacancies can enhance its lithium-ion storage *** synthesize anatase TiO_(2) with well-retained hierarchical structure by annealing the H_(2)Ti_(5)O_(11)·3H_(2)O yolk-shell spheres precursor in nitrogen *** and XPS data evidence that the oxygen-deficient environment could generate abundant oxygen vacancies in the as-derived anatase TiO_(2),which leads to improved electron conductivity and reduced charge-transfer *** rich oxygen vacancies and high structural integrity of the hierarchical yolk-shell spheres enable the as-derived anatase TiO_(2) yolk-shell spheres with a high specific capacity of 280 mAh g^(-1) at 100 mA g^(-1) and 71%of capacity retention after 5000 cycles at 2 A g^(-1).

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors with high mortality and poor prognosis in *** is an urgent need to discover new therapeutic targets for breast cancer ***,we identified that Apolipoprotein C1(APOC1)was up-regulated in primary tumor of breast cancer patient that recurrence and metastasis by immunohistochemistry(IHC).Kaplan-Meier Plotter database showed that high levels of APOC1 in breast cancer patients were strongly associated with worse overall survival(OS)and relapse-free survival(RFS).Mechanistically,APOC1 silencing significantly inhibits MAPK/ERK kinase pathway and restrains the NF-κB to decrease the transcription of target genes related to growth and metastasis in *** on this regulatory mechanism,we developed these findings into potential therapeutic drugs,glutathione(GSH)responsive nanoparticles(NPs)were used for systemic APOC1 siRNA delivery,NPs(siAPOC1)silenced APOC1 expression,and subsequently resulted in positive anti-tumor effects in orthotopic and liver metastasis models in *** together,GSH responsive NPmediated siAPOC1 delivery was proved to be effective in regulating growth and metastasis in multiple tumor *** findings show that APOC1 could be a potential biomarker to predict the prognosis of breast cancer patients and NP-mediated APOC1 silencing could be new strategies for exploration of new treatments for breast cancer metastasis.

Enhanced Multi-phosphopeptide Enrichment and Nano LC-ESI-qTOF-MS Detection Strategy Using Click OEG-CD Matrix

Detection and determination of multi-phosphopeptides from protein digestion products are difficult due to the low abundance and ion-suppression effect arised from the existence of their high-abundance counterparts. Click OEG-CD[olio（ethylene glycol）（OEG） linked β-cyclodextrin（CD）] matrix has shown excellent performance in phosphopeptide enrichment. However, few multi-phosphopeptides were detected previously. In this investigation, an improved method aiming at enhancing the enrichment selectivity and mass spectrometry（MS） detection of multi-phosphopeptide was developed via optimizing the sample loading amount on per mg of matrix. Mass spectra were obtained on a Nano liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-quadrupole time of flight-mass spectrometry （LC-ESI-qTOF-MS）. The enrichment selectivity of double-phosphopeptide could be enhanced with the increase of loading amount on per mg of matrix when taking the mixture of mono-, double-, and non-phosphopeptides as probe. Furthermore, the multi-phosphopeptide enrichment selectivity was enhanced under the condition of optimized loading amount when taking the product of typtic digestion a-casein as test sample. When the loading amount was 573 pmol/mg matrix, up to 20 a-casein phosphopeptide signals（including 15 multi-phosphopeptides） were detected. The result is much better than that of our previous report. The reduction of ion-suppression effect arised from the existence of high-abundance non- or mono-phosphopeptides and the stronger interactions between multiphosphopepides and the matrix were contributed to the result. The study could be helpful to the better utilization of Click OEG-CD matrix in the enrichment of multi-phosphopeptide from complex biosamples in the subsequent investigation.

Numerical investigation on the self-excited oscillation of wet steam flow in a supersonic turbine cascade

The self-excited flow oscillation due to supercritical heat addition during the condensation process in wet steam turbine is an important issue. With an Eulerian/Eulerian model, the self-excited oscillation of wet steam flow in a supersonic turbine cascade is investigated . A proper inlet supercooling results in the transition from steady flow to self-excited oscillating flow in the cascade of steam turbine. The frequency dependency on the inlet supercooling is not monotonic. The flow oscillation leads to non-synchronous periodical variation of the inlet and outlet mass flow rate. The aerodynamic force on the blade varies periodically due to the self-excited flow oscillation. With the frequency lies between 18.1-80.64 Hz, the oscillating flow is apt to act with the periodical variation of the inlet supercooling due to sta-tor rotor interaction in a syntonic pattern, and results in larger aerodynamic force on the blade. The loss in the oscillating flow increases 20.64% compared with that in the steady flow.

Platinum-based chemotherapy resistance is a key factor of poor prognosis and recurrence in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Herein,RNAseq analysis revealed that elevated tubulin folding cofactor E(TBCE)expression is associated with platinum-based chemotherapy *** expression of TBCE contributes to worse prognoses and earlier recurrence among liver cancer ***,TBCE silencing significantly affects cytoskeleton rearrangement,which in turn increases cisplatin-induced cycle arrest and *** develop these findings into potential therapeutic drugs,endosomal pH-responsive nanoparticles(NPs)were developed to simultaneously encapsulate TBCE siRNA and cisplatin(DDP)to reverse this ***(siTBCE+DDP)concurrently silenced TBCE expression,increased cell sensitivity to platinum treatment,and subsequently resulted in superior anti-tumor effects both in vitro and in vivo in orthotopic and patient-derived xenograft(PDX)*** together,NP-mediated delivery and the co-treatment of siTBCE+DDP proved to be effective in reversing chemotherapy resistance of DDP in multiple tumor models.

The classical condensation model of water vapor is coupled with the Euler equations to calculate transonic flows of moist air with non-equilibrium condensation. By means of this model, numerical computations are implemented to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of an NACA 0012 airfoil in transonic flows of moist air at various angles of attack and relative humidities, and the results are compared with those in dry air flows. For different angles of attack considered at 50% relative humidity, the lift decreases 30%—40%. The pressure drag increases when the angle of attack is smaller than 1.4° and decreases when higher than 1.4°. At zero angle of attack, with the relative humidity rising from zero to 90%, the pressure drag increases exponentially. At 90% relative humidity, the pressure drag increases 160%, and self-oscillation takes place periodically and alternately over the upper and lower surfaces of the airfoil. The oscillation is caused by the interactions of local supersonic flow and heat release in the condensation process.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a highly heterogeneous tumor,with dynamic equilibrium and complex interplay between its intricate tumor nature and ambient tumor immune microenvironment(TIME).1 Elegant research has indicated that cancer stem cells,a small subset of neoplastic cells confined within dedicated niches,display stem cell-like properties and interact with cells in TIME,thereby imparting an indelible impact on stemness regulation,tumor heterogeneity,and cancer cell plasticity.2 Previous taxonomies solely from the perspective of stemness or TIME may introduce some degree of bias in the comprehension of HCC carcinogenesis,3,4 and thus it is of paramount importance to systematically consider tumor stemness and TIME as a whole to truly portray the biological landscape of HCC.
