Influence of CaO and HZSM-5 on oxygen migration in Chlorella vulgaris polysaccharide pyrolysis

With polysaccharides of Chlorella pyrenoidosa as the raw material,the effects of CaO and HZSM-5 on the yield of bio-oil and the oxygen content in each phase in the pyrolysis of Chlorella vulgaris polysaccharides(CVP),which occurred in a tube furnace at 600℃,were comprehensively investigated.The reaction path of deoxidation was also analyzed by TG,GC and GC-MS.The GC-MS analysis of liquids showed that liquids from the pyrolysis of chlorella polysaccharides included a range of light oxygenated compounds(e.g.,furans,ketones and phenols),and the oxygen content of furan compounds decreased significantly with CaO and HZSM-5.Compared with the direct pyrolysis of polysaccharides(CVP),the catalytic pyrolysis contributed to the decrease in the oxygen content of organic components by 7.32%and 5.76%.The GC analysis showed that there was a remarkable downtrend in the release of oxygen-containing gas(CO and CO_(2)),and the emission of CO_(2) decreased from 53.11%to 32.92%.The results of the thermogravimetric analysis indicated that the reaction paths of deoxidation in the pyrolysis process of polysaccharides(CVP)with CaO and HZSM-5 varied from those of the direct pyrolysis process:the catalytic pyrolysis with HZSM-5 promoted the conversion of carbohydrate from furans to aromatics over strong acid sites,which was consistent with previous studies;CaO not only acted as a catalyst but also participated in the reaction to change the reaction paths.All results and findings can help to further understand the thermochemical utilization of CPP for bio-oil.

Cotton stalk activated carbon-supported Co-Ce-B nanoparticles as efficient catalysts for hydrogen generation through hydrolysis of sodium borohydride

Porous cotton stalk activated carbons(CSAC)were prepared by phosphoric acid activation of cotton stalks in a fluidized bed.The CSAC-supported Co-B and Co-Ce-B catalysts were prepared by the impregnation-chemical reduction method.The samples were characterized by the nitrogen adsorption,XRD,FTIR and TEM measurements.The effects of the sodium borohydride(NaBH_(4))and sodium hydroxide(NaOH)concentrations,reaction temperature and recyclability on the rate of NaBH_(4)hydrolysis over the CSAC-supported Co-Ce-B catalysts were systematically investigated.The results showed that the agglomeration of the Co-Ce-B nanoclusters on the CSAC support surface was significantly reduced with the introduction of cerium.The CSAC-supported Co-Ce-B catalyst exhibited superior catalytic activity and the average hydrogen generation rate was 16.42 L min^(−1)g^(−1)Co at 25℃,which is higher than the most reported cobalt-based catalysts.The catalytic hydrolysis of NaBH_(4)was zero order with respect to the NaBH_(4)concentration,and the hydrogen generation rate decreased with the increase in the NaOH concentration.The activation energy of the hydrogen generation reaction on the prepared catalyst was estimated to be 48.22 kJ mol^(−1).A kinetic rate equation was also proposed.

To the Editor:Cerebellar-facial-dental syndrome(CFDS)is a rareand autosomal recessive(AR)neurodevelopmental disease,characterized by cerebellar hypoplasia and intellectual disability,facial dysmorphisms,short stature,microcephaly,and dental anomalies.ll'in 20is,Borck et observed threepairs of siblings with apreviously undescribed pattern of abnormalities andestablished CFD's as a clinicalentity,To date,a total of six CFDS families have been reported.li'4iThe age of the reported patients ranges from infancy to early adulthood.Since the rarity of CFDS,more study is requiredforevaluatingits natural historyand clinical characteristics.This paper would liketo report a novel homozygous BRF1 gene mutation in two middleaged CFDS patients from Chinese,and to summarize its clinical and genetic characteristics,reinforcing the pathogenicity of BRF1 gene mutations and expanding the manifestation spectrum of CFDS.

Low temperature cracking behavior of asphalt binders and mixtures: A review

Low temperature cracking(LTC)distress on pavement seriously affects road life.This paper finished a literature review of the research on the mechanism of LTC of asphalt composites(asphalt composites refers to asphalt binder and asphalt mixture in this article),test methods,factors contributing to LTC,measures to prevent and control the distress,and prediction of LTC in asphalt pavements.The following conclusions were obtained:the cracking mechanism of asphalt mixtures needs to be further revealed by means of simulation at the micro level,the BBR and 4 mm plate test(by DSR)methods are currently optimal,and a correlation between asphalt and asphalt mixture evaluation indexes needs to be established.Sensitivity analyses are needed for the factors affecting LTC of asphalt mixtures.It is necessary to calculate the contribution of each factor to the LTC of asphalt mixtures.The aim is to propose targeted improvement measures for the most unfavourable factors,as well as to carry out research and development of key materials for anti-cracking.Measures for the prevention and control of LTC of asphalt pavement are analyzed and discussed.Existing researches on the prediction of LTC of asphalt pavements is discussed.It is necessary to analyse the mechanical response of asphalt pavement,the damage process and the sensitivity of anti-cracking parameters on the basis of considering the complex geometrical characteristics and material properties of asphalt pavement materials.Finally,the mechanism of LTC,evaluation methods,factors influencing LTC,and remedial measures for asphalt composites were summarized,and future research prospects were suggested.This paper provides theoretical support for the further solution of LTC distress of asphalt pavement,which is effective on the improvement of pavement life.

Comprehensive Characterization and Global Transcriptome Analysis of Human Fetal Liver Terminal Erythropoiesis

The fetal liver(FL)is the key erythropoietic organ during fetal development,but knowledge on human FL erythropoiesis is very limited.In this study,we sorted primary erythroblasts from FL cells and performed RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)analyses.We found that temporal gene expression patterns reflected changes in function during primary human FL terminal erythropoiesis.Notably,the expression of genes enriched in proteolysis and autophagy was up-regulated in orthochromatic erythroblasts(OrthoEs),suggesting the involvement of these pathways in enucleation.We also performed RNA-seq of in vitro cultured erythroblasts derived from FL CD34+cells.Comparison of transcriptomes between the primary and cultured erythroblasts revealed significant differences,indicating impacts of the culture system on gene expression.Notably,the expression of lipid metabolism-related genes was increased in cultured erythroblasts.We further immortalized erythroid cell lines from FL and cord blood(CB)CD34+cells(FL-iEry and CB-iEry,respectively).FL-iEry and CB-iEry were immortalized at the proerythroblast stage and can be induced to differentiate into OrthoEs,but their enucleation ability was very low.Comparison of the transcriptomes between OrthoEs with and without enucleation capability revealed the down-regulation of pathways involved in chromatin organization and mitophagy in OrthoEs without enucleation capacity,indicating that defects in chromatin organization and mitophagy contribute to the inability of OrthoEs to enucleate.Additionally,the expression of HBE1,HBZ,and HBG2 was up-regulated in FL-iEry compared with CB-iEry,and such up-regulation was accompanied by down-regulated expression of BCL11A and up-regulated expression of LIN28B and IGF2BP1.Our study provides new insights into human FL erythropoiesis and rich resources for future studies.

水土流失作为影响区域环境问题的重要因子之一会受到气候地质、土地利用情况以及植被覆盖情况等因素影响。研究以菏泽地区为研究对象,从区域角度对该小流域降水径流与产汇流关系进行分析,并对水土保持措施与产汇流之间的作用机理进行评价。结果显示,草木栖和地埂措施的径流系数达到0.14,具有较强的产汇流能力。水平沟和坡耕地与流域内的产汇流相关性显著。故在今后应因地制宜制定小流域水土保持措施,促进区域经济的可持续发展。

为建立杉木无性系发育技术体系,以广西杉木为试验材料,选择树势基本相同、生长健壮、无病虫害的杉木为外植体进行组培快繁技术试验研究。结果表明:(1)外植体最佳消毒方案是使用70%酒精浸泡15 s,灭菌后采用无菌水洗涤3次,再用0.1%升汞浸泡消毒8 min后采用无菌水洗涤5次;(2)初代诱导最佳培养基为1/2MS+6-BA0.6 mg·L^(-1),该培养基有利于增加培养基的诱导率和萌芽率,提高培养基的培养效果;(3)增殖诱导最适培养基为1/2MS+6-BA0.6 mg·L^(-1)+IBA0.3 mg·L^(-1),获得的组培苗芽多,茎粗壮;(4)生根最适培养基为1/2MS+IBA0.8 mg·L^(-1)+IAA0.1 mg·L^(-1);(5)杉木组培苗移栽的最适基质是泥炭土∶菜园土∶蛭石=4∶2∶1,其幼苗成活率达到91.93%,幼苗健壮,叶色深绿。

China is experiencing a fast-speed urbanization, which has brought many social and urban problems such as social exclusion, gentrification and pollution. Urban regeneration has been employed by many countries and regions to solve the problems arising during the urban regeneration, in particular the regeneration of former industrial sites. Many issues such as environmental protection, social inclusion, public participation, infrastructure construction and innovative regeneration forms all have a great impact on the sustainable regeneration of former industrial sites in China. This paper mainly summarizes the major issues of the regeneration of former industrial sites and proposes some countermeasures to the urban regeneration in China. It is expected to provide some useful suggestions to the core stakeholders of the regeneration of former industrial sites.

城镇居民高质量就业是经济高质量发展的重要组成部分。数字普惠金融作为一种依托数字技术的新型金融模式,可促进金融资源的合理配置,既能助力经济发展,又能促进就业结构的优化。然而数字普惠金融发展是否能提升城镇居民就业质量以及影响机制如何,还有待进一步研究。基于2011—2020年我国城镇居民省级面板数据,构建城镇居民就业质量指标体系,并结合数字普惠金融指数数据,探究数字普惠金融发展对城镇居民就业质量的影响机制。可以发现:第一,我国数字普惠金融的发展能够有效提升城镇居民的就业质量;第二,数字普惠金融的数字化程度、使用深度和覆盖广度三个特征,分别从缓解企业融资约束、提升人力资本质量和提升社会保障水平三个维度间接提升就业质量;第三,数字普惠金融对就业质量的提升存在区域差异,且对于经济发展水平相对落后的区域提升作用更加明显。研究结论有助于提升数字普惠金融的政策靶向性,助力城镇居民就业质量的提升。

Plant metabolites are dynamically modified and distributed in response to environmental changes.How-ever,it is poorly understood how metabolic change functions in plant stress responses.Maintaining ion ho-meostasis under salt stress requires coordinated activation of two types of central regulators:plasma membrane(PM)H^(+)-ATPase and Na^(+)/H^(+) antiporter.In this study,we used a bioassay-guided isolation approach to identify endogenous small molecules that affect PM H^(+)-ATPase and Na^(+)/H^(+) antiporter activities and identified phosphatidylinositol(PI),which inhibits PM H^(+)-ATPase activity under non-stress conditions in Arabidopsis by directly binding to the C terminus of the PM H^(+)-ATPase AHA2.Under salt stress,the phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate-to-phosphatidylinositol(PI4P-to-PI)ratio increased,and PI4P bound and activated the PM Na^(+)/H^(+) antiporter.PI prefers binding to the inactive form of PM H^(+)-ATPase,while PI4P tends to bind to the active form of the Na^(+)/H^(+) antiporter.Consistent with this,pis1 mutants,with reduced levels of PI,displayed increased PM H^(+)-ATPase activity and salt stress toler-ance,while the pi4kβ1 mutant,with reduced levels of PI4P,displayed reduced PM Na^(+)/H^(+) antiporter activity and salt stress tolerance.Collectively,our results reveal that the dynamic change between PI and PI4P in response to salt stress in Arabidopsis is crucial for maintaining ion homeostasis to protect plants from un-favorable environmental conditions.
