Design and synthesis of novel coumarin analogs and their nematicidal activity against five phytonematodes

The presence of hydroxyl groups at the C4 and C7 positions in coumarin backbone has been proposed as a potential modification site for providing excellent bioactivity according to previous studies. A series of novel coumarin derivatives were rationally designed and synthesized by use of a complex catalytic system for a targeted modification at the above sites. These derivatives were assayed for nematicidal activity. As predicted, the derivatization enhanced the activity of the coumarins against five *** 7b, 9a, 10 c and 11 c showed significant strong nematicidal broad spectrum activity against all tested nematodes. Compound 10 c was the most effective with the lowest LC50 values against Meloidogyne incognita（5.1 mmol/L）, Ditylenchus destructor（3.7 mmol/L）, Bursaphelenchus mucronatus（6.4 mmol/L）, Bursaphelenchus B. xylophilus（2.5 mmol/L） and Aphelenchoides besseyi（3.1 mmol/L）,respectively. A brief investigation on the structure–activity relationships（SAR） revealed that the targeted modification by a C7 hydroxyl was optimum compared with that of a C4 hydroxyl and that the coupling chain length was crucial for the nematicidal activity.

An electrospun poly（lactide-co-glycolide）（PLGA） membrane was prepared and used to perform the anti-adhesion of Achilles tendon. Throughout the experiments, the membrane showed an appropriate degradation rate, and the pH values of degradation media were maintained at around 7.4. Simultaneously, the excellent biocompatibility of the membrane in vitro and in vivo was confirmed by live/dead and histopathological analyses. Meanwhile, the membrane can reduce tendon adhesion significantly and promote functional recovery effectively. The encouraging results were further demonstrated by hematoxylin and eosin （H＆E）, and Masson＇s trichrome stainings, and type I collagen immunohistochemical analysis. It was concluded that the model treated with the electrospun PLGA membrane was significantly better with respect to the adhesion prevention and tissue repair than that without treatment. Considering the results of degradation and adhesion prevention efficacy, the electrospun PLGA membrane would be a great candidate for the prevention of postoperative tendon adhesion.

Poly（lactide-co-glycolide）-poly（ethylene glycol）-poly（lactide-co-glycolide）（PLGA-PEG-PLGA） triblock copolymer was synthesized through the ring-opening polymerization of LA and GA with PEG as macroinitiator and stannous octoate as catalyst. The amphiphilic copolymer self-assembled into micelles in aqueous solutions, and formed hydrogels as the increase of temperature at relatively high concentrations（〉 15 wt%）. The favorable degradability of the hydrogel was confirmed by in vitro and in vivo degradation experiments. The good cellular and tissular compatibilities of the thermogel were demonstrated. The excellent adhesion and proliferation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells endowed PLGA-PEGPLGA thermogelling hydrogel with fascinating prospect for cartilage tissue engineering.

The basalts within the greenstone belt worldwide serve as an ideal target to decipher the nature of Archean mantle sources and further to extend the understanding of the early stages of Earth's *** provide important insights into the issues,we carried out a detailed investigation of whole-rock geochemistry and Sm-Nd isotopes,and zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopes for the Late Neoarchean metamorphosed basalts in eastern Hebei,North China Craton.U-Pb isotopic dating using the LA-ICPMS on zircons reveals that the basalts in eastern Hebei erupted at ca.2.48-2.51 Ga and subsequently experienced multiple regional metamorphic events at 2477 and 1798 Ma,*** metamorphosed basalts are featured by low SiO_(2),MgO,K_(2)O+Na_(2)O,and high Fe O contents,endowed with the subalkaline and high-Fe tholeiitic *** radiogenic initial Nd and Hf isotope values and correlations among V,Ni and Cr contents strongly imply that the basalts experienced significant clinopyroxene and olivine fractionation and minor crustal contamination during magma *** are also characterized by the relatively low total REE contents and exhibit significant depletions to moderate enrichments in the LREE contents,indicating the derivation from a deep mantle source in an Archean proto-mantle plume setting.

Electrocatalytic water splitting is considered a clean and practic al method for producing *** this study,COF-Bpy,a bipyridine-functionalized covalent organic framework(COF),was prepared via post-synthetic modification,after which electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reactions(OER)were formed through coordination to single-or double-transition metals(Fe,Co,Ni,FeCo,FeNi or CoNi).COF-Bpy@FeNi delivered the best OER performance among the studied electrocatalysts,with an overpotential of 399 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2)in an alkaline electrolyte(1.0 mol·L^(-1)KOH aqueous).Notably,the electrocatalytic performance of COF-Bpy@FeNi showed slight degradation during durability testing,which is ascribable to its irreversible benzoquinoline structure and strong metal *** expected,COF-Bpy@FeNi exhibited a low overpotential of 347 mV at a turnover frequency(TOF)of 0.1 s^(-1),which suggests that COF-Bpy@FeNi possesses excellent intrinsic electroc atalytic OER ***,density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the Ni site plays a major role,while the Fe site adjusts the electronic structure of the Ni ions,which rationalizes the excellent OER properties of COF-Bpy@*** study not only provides a simple and efficient method for complexing COFs with transition metals,but also offers a novel strategy for designing porous organic polymer electrocatalysts.
