Defect and interface engineering in core@shell structure hollow carbon@MoS_(2)nanocomposites for boosted microwave absorption performance

Defect and interface engineering are efficient approaches to adjust the physical and chemical properties of *** order to effectively utilize these strategies for the improvement of microwave absorption properties(MAPs),in this study,we reported the synthesis of hollow carbon shells and hollow carbon@MoS_(2)nanocomposites by the template-etching and templateetching-hydrothermal methods,*** obtained results indicated that the degree of defect for hollow carbon shells and hollow carbon@MoS_(2)could be modulated by the thickness of hollow carbon shell,which effectively fulfilled the optimization of electromagnetic parameters and improvement of ***,the microstructure investigations revealed that the precursor of hollow carbon shells was encapsulated by the sheet-like MoS_(2)in high *** the introduction of MoS_(2)nanosheets acting as the shell effectively improved the interfacial effects and boosted the polarization loss capabilities,which resulted in the improvement of comprehensive *** elaborately designed hollow carbon@MoS_(2)samples displayed very outstanding MAPs including strong absorption capabilities,broad absorption bandwidth,and thin matching ***,this work provided a viable strategy to improve the MAPs of microwave absorbers by taking full advantage of their defect and interface engineering.

Illuminating Recommendation by Understanding the Explicit Item Relations

Recent years have witnessed the prevalence of recommender systems in various fields, which provide a personalized recommendation list for each user based on various kinds of information. For quite a long time, most researchers have been pursing recommendation performances with predefined metrics, e.g., accuracy. However, in real-world applications, users select items from a huge item list by considering their internal personalized demand and external constraints. Thus, we argue that explicitly modeling the complex relations among items under domain-specific applications is an indispensable part for enhancing the recommendations. Actually, in this area, researchers have done some work to understand the item relations gradually from ＂implicit＂ to ＂explicit＂ views when recommending. To this end, in this paper, we conduct a survey of these recent advances on recommender systems from the perspective of the explicit item relation understanding. We organize these relevant studies from three types of item relations, i.e., combination-effect relations, sequence-dependence relations, and external-constraint relations. Specifically, the combination-effect relation and the sequence-dependence relation based work models the intra-group intrinsic relations of items from the user demand perspective, and the external-constraint relation emphasizes the external requirements for items. After that, we also propose our opinions on the open issues along the line of understanding item relations and suggest some future research directions in recommendation area.

A Robust 2D Lidar SLAM Method in Complex Environment

The two-dimensional(2D)lidar is a ranging optical sensor that can measure the cross-section of the geometric structure of the *** propose a robust 2D lidar simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM)algorithm working in ambiguous *** improve the front-end scan-matching module’s accuracy and robustness,we propose performing degeneration analysis,line landmark tracking,and environment coverage *** max-clique selection and odometer verification are introduced to increase the stability of the SLAM algorithm in an ambiguous ***,we propose a tightly coupled framework that integrates lidar,wheel odometer,and inertial measurement unit(IMU).The framework achieves the accurate mapping in large-scale environments using a factor graph to model the multi-sensor fusion SLAM *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a highly accurate front-end scan-matching module with an error of 3.8%of the existing *** it can run stably in ambiguous environments where the existing method will be ***,it ccan successfully construct a map with an area of more than 250000 square meters.

Information Protocol Equilibrium in n-insider Perfect Competition with a Random Deadline

This paper studies a model of n insiders with perfect information trading on a risky asset with value normally distributed and disclosed at a random deadline. We propose a concept of information protocol equilibrium under semi-strong efficient pricing, consisting of an n-profile of insider trading strategies with terminal residual information protocols, and find that if a common protocol on terminal residual information before trading is obeyed by all insiders, then, in the market with more than two insiders there exists a uique equilibrium only when it requires to release common partial information eventually, or it does not exist if it requires to release all or not any; but in the market with a single insider, the insider may release all private information eventually to make a maximal profit. Thereby, the existence and uniqueness of information protocol equilibrium among n insiders are deduced. Finally, numerical results illustrate some market characteristics of equilibria with different information protocols required before trading.

Recurrent genome duplication events likely contributed to both the ancient and recent rise of ferns^FA

Ferns, the second largest group of vascular plants, originated ~400 mil ion years ago(Mya). They became dominant in the ancient Earth landscape before the angiosperms and are stil important in current *** ferns have exceptional y high chromosome numbers,possibly resulting from whole-genome duplications(WGDs).However, WGDs have not been investigated molecularly across fern diversity. Here we detected and dated fern WGDs using a phylogenomic approach and by calculating synonymous substitution rates(Ks). We also investigated a possible correlation between proposed WGDs and shifts in species diversification rates. We identified 19 WGDs: three ancient events along the fern phylogenetic backbone that are shared by 66%–97% of extant ferns, with additional lineage-specific WGDs for eight orders, providing strongevidence for recurring genome duplications across fern evolutionary history. We also observed similar Ks peak values for more than half of these WGDs, with multiple WGDs occurring close to the Cretaceous(~145–66 Mya). Despite the repeated WGD events, the biodiversity of ferns declined during the Cretaceous, implying that other factors probably contributed to the floristic turnover from ferns to angiosperms. This study provides molecular evidence for recurring WGDs in ferns and offers important clues to the genomic evolutionary history of ferns.

In this work,we put forward a scheme to exquisitely design and selectively synthesize the core@shell structured MSe_(2)/FeSe_(2)@MoSe_(2)(M=Co,Ni)flower-like multicomponent nanocomposites(MCNCs)through a simple two-step hydrothermal reaction on the surfaces of MFe_(2)O_4 nanospheres with the certain amounts of Mo and Se *** increasing the amounts of Mo and Se sources,the obtained core@shell structured MSe_(2)/FeSe_(2)@MoSe_(2)(M=Co,Ni)MCNCs with the enhanced content of MoSe_(2)and improved flower-like geometry morphology could be produced on a large *** obtained results revealed that the as-prepared samples displayed improved comprehensive microwave absorption properties(CMAPs)with the increased amounts of Mo and Se *** as-prepared CoSe_(2)/FeSe_(2)@MoSe_(2)and NiSe_(2)/FeSe_(2)@MoSe_(2)MCNCs with the well-defined flower-like morphology could simultaneously present the outstanding CMAPs in terms of strong absorption capability,wide absorption bandwidth,and thin matching thicknesses,which mainly originated from the conduction loss and flower-like geometry ***,the findings not only develop the very desirable candidates for high-performance microwave absorption materials but also pave a new way for optimizing the CMAPs through tailoring morphology engineering.

Tunable and improved microwave absorption of flower-like core@shell MFe_(2)O_(4)@MoS_(2)(M=Mn,Ni and Zn)nanocomposites by defect and interface engineering

Previous results revealed that the defect and/or interface had a great impact on the electromagnetic pa-rameters of *** order to understand the main physical mechanisms and effectively utilize these strategies,in this study,M Fe_(2)O_(4)and flower-like core@shell M Fe_(2)O_(4)@MoS_(2)(M=Mn,Ni,and Zn)sam-ples with different categories were elaborately designed and selectively produced in large scale through a simple two-step hydrothermal *** conducted the systematical investigation on their microstruc-tures,electromagnetic parameters and microwave absorption performances(MAPs).The obtained results revealed that the large radius of M^(2+)cation could effectively boost the concentration of oxygen vacancy in the M Fe_(2)O_(4)and M Fe_(2)O_(4)@MoS_(2)samples,which resulted in the improvement of dielectric loss capabil-ities and ***,the introduction of MoS_(2)nanosheets greatly improved the interfacial effect and enhanced the polarization loss capabilities,which also boosted the *** taking full advantage of the defect and interface,the designed M Fe_(2)O_(4)@MoS_(2)samples displayed tunable and excellent com-prehensive MAPs including strong absorption capability,wide absorption bandwidth and thin matching ***,the clear understanding of defect and interface engineering made these strategies well elaborately designed and applicable to improving MAPs.

Magnitude and uniformity improvement of the received optical power for an indoor VLC system jointly assisted by angle-diversity transceivers and STAR-IRS

To improve the quality of the illumination distribution， one novel indoor visible light communication (VLC) system， which is jointly assisted by the angle-diversity transceivers and simultaneous transmission and reflection-intelligent reflecting surface (STAR-IRS)， has been proposed in this work. A Harris Hawks optimizer algorithm (HHOA)-based two-stage alternating iteration algorithm (TSAIA) scheme is presented to jointly optimize the magnitude and uniformity of the received optical power. Besides， to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed strategy， several benchmark schemes are simulated and compared. Results showed that compared to other optimization strategies， the TSAIA scheme is more capable of balancing the average value and variance of the received optical power when the maximal ratio combining (MRC) strategy is adopted at the receiver. Moreover， as the number of the STAR-IRS elements increases， the optical power variance of the system optimized by TSAIA scheme would become smaller while the average optical power would get larger. This study will benefit the design of received optical power distribution for indoor VLC systems.

On the Cycle Structure of Some Nonlinear Feedback Shift Registers

In this paper, we partly determine the cycle structure of two types of Nonlinear feedback shift registers(NFSRs). Based on these results, the cycle structure of a class of NFSRs with symmetric feedback functions can be completely characterized. Furthermore, an alternative proof of Kjeldsen’s results is presented. Compared with the original proof based on abstract algebra theory, ours is straightforward and easy to understand.

AIM:To investigate the protective effect of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)against H_(2)O_(2)-induced apoptosis in human ARPE-19 ***:The lentiviral vector expressing HO-1 was prepared and transfected into apoptotic ARPE-19 cells induced by H_(2)O_(2).Functional experiments including cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay,flow cytometry(FCM)and mitochondrial membrane potential assay were ***:The ultrastructure of ARPE-19 cells was observed using transmission electron microscope(TEM).It was found that exogenous HO-1 significantly ameliorated H_(2)O_(2)-induced loss of cell viability,apoptosis and intracellular levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in ARPE-19 *** overexpression of HO-1 facilitated the transfer of nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2(Nrf2)from cytoplasm to nucleus,which in turn upregualted expressions HO-1 and B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2).Furthermore,HO-1 upregulation further inhibited H_(2)O_(2)-induced release of cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-3(caspase-3).CONCLUSION:Exogenous HO-1 protect ARPE-19 cells against H_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative stress by regulating the expressions of Nrf2,HO-1,Bcl-2,and caspase-3.
