A novel representation of a triangular mesh surface using a set of scale-invariant measures is *** measures consist of angles of the triangles(triangle angles) and dihedral angles along the edges(edge angles)which are scale and rigidity independent. The vertex coordinates for a mesh give its scale-invariant measures, unique up to scale, rotation, and translation. Based on the representation of mesh using scale-invariant measures, a two-step iterative deformation algorithm is proposed, which can arbitrarily edit the mesh through simple handles *** algorithm can explicitly preserve the local geometric details as much as possible in different scales even under severe editing operations including rotation, scaling, and shearing. The efficiency and robustness of the proposed algorithm are demonstrated by examples.

Background： Current views on continuous positive airway pressure （CPAP） treatment to improve the cognitive deficits of patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome （OSAS） are controversial, so we performed a meta-analysis. Methods： A comprehensive literature search was undertaken in PubMed, CINAHL, Medline, Psyclnfo, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CNKI, WanFang, VIP, and CBMdisc for studies published from June 1971 to July 2014. The outcome measures included neuropsychological tests of the 7 cognitive domains detailed below. Results： After screening the titles and abstracts and thoroughly reading the fuU text, we obtained 13 studies with little risk of bias that incorporated 1744 middle-aged obese participants with mild to severe OSAS. The studies were published from 1994 to 2012. Treatment durations varied from 1 to 24 weeks. The effect sizes of attention, vigilance, processing speed, working memory, memory, verbal fluency, and visuoconstructive skills domains were -0.10 （P = 0.24）, -0.12 （P = 0.04）, -0.08 （P = 0.16）, 0.00 （P = 0.95）, -0.04 （P = 0.30）, -0.06 （P = 0.34）, and -0.01 （P = 0.92）, respectively. Conclusions： Cognition partially improved in patients with OSAS after CPAP treatment. The only domain with significant improvement was vigilance. Rigorous randomized controlled trials need to be performed to obtain clear results.

Labeling information in a complex irregular region is a useful procedure occurring frequently in sheet metal and the furniture industry which will be beneficial in parts management.A fast code-based labeler(FCBL) is proposed to accomplish this objective in this *** region is first discretized,and then encoded by the Freeman encoding technique for providing the 2D regional information by 1D codes with redundancies *** enhance the encoding scheme to make it more suitable for our complex *** on the codes,searching algorithms are designed and can be extended with customized *** addition,by introducing a smart optimal direction estimation,the labeling speed and accuracy of FCBL are significantly *** with a large range of real data gained from industrial factories demonstrate the stability and millisecond-level speed of *** proposed method has been integrated into a shipbuilding CAD system,and plays a very important role in ship parts labeling process.

One major goal of mesh parameterization is to minimize the conformal distortion. Measured boundary parameteri-zations focus on lowering the distortion by setting the boundary free with the help of distance from a center vertex to all the boundary vertices. Hence these parameterizations strongly depend on the determination of the center vertex. In this paper,we introduce two methods to determine the center vertex automatically. Both of them can be used as necessary supplements to the existing measured boundary methods to minimize the common artifacts as a result of the obscure choice of the center vertex. In addition,we propose a simple and fast measured boundary parameterization method based on the Poisson's equation. Our new approach generates less conformal distortion than the fixed boundary methods. It also generates more regular domain boundaries than other measured boundary methods. Moreover,it offers a good tradeoff between computation costs and conformal distortion compared with the fast and robust angle based flattening (ABF++).

In this paper we develop a novel approach to construct non-stationary subdivision schemes with a tension control parameter which can reproduce functions in a finite-dimensional subspace of exponential polynomials. The construction process is mainly implemented by solving linear systems for primal and dual subdivision schemes respectively, which are based on different parameterizations. We give the theoretical basis for the existence, uniqueness, and refinement rules of schemes proposed in this paper. The convergence and smoothness of the schemes are analyzed as well. Moreover, conics reproducing schemes are analyzed based on our theory, and a new idea that the tensor parameter ωk of the schemes can be adjusted for conics generation is proposed.

We propose a robust method for detecting features on triangular meshes by combining normal tensor voting with neighbor supporting. Our method contains two stages： feature detection and feature refinement. Firsts the normal tensor voting method is modified to detect the initial features, which may include some pseudo features. Then, at the feature refinement stage, a novel salient measure deriving from the idea of neighbor supporting is developed. Benefiting from the integrated reliable salient measure feature, pseudo features can be effectively discriminated from the initially detected features and removed. Compared to previous methods based on the differential geometric property, the main advantage of our method is that it can detect both sharp and weak features. Numerical experiments show that our algorithm is robust, effective, and can produce more accurate results. We also discuss how detected features are incorporated into applications, such as feature-preserving mesh denoising and hole-filling, and present visually appealing results by integrating feature information.

AIM:To investigate the effect of Staphylococcus aureus(***)lysates(SALs)on herpes simplex virus type-Ⅰ(HSV1)infection in human corneal epithelial(HCE)cells and in a mouse model of HSV1 ***:HCE,Vero,HeLa,and BV2 cells were infected with HSV1[HSV1f strain,HSV1f;HSV-1-H129 with green fluorescent protein(GFP)knock-in,HSV1g].Pre-or post-infection,SAL at various concentrations was added to the culture medium for 24 *** fluorescence in HSV1g or plaque formation by HSV1f were *** effects of heat-treated SAL,precooled acetone-precipitated SAL,and SAL subjected to ultrafiltration(100 kDa)were *** effects of other bacterial components and lysates on HSV1 infection were also tested,including lipoteichoic acid(LTA),peptidoglycan(PGN),staphylococcal protein A(SPA),andα-hemolysin from ***(α-toxin)as well as lysates from a wild-type *** strain,***,and Escherichia coli(W-SAL,SEL,and ECL,respectively).In addition,SAL eye drops were applied topically to BALB/c mice with HSV1 keratitis,followed by in vivo ***:The cytopathic effect,plaque formation(HSV1f),and GFP expression(HSV1g)in infected cells were inhibited by SAL in a dose-dependent *** active component of SAL(≥100 kDa)was heat-sensitive and retained activity after acetone *** HSV1ginfected cells,treatment with LTA-sa,α-toxin,PGN-sa,or SPA did not inhibit GFP ***,W-SAL,and SEL(but not ECL)decreased GFP *** mice with HSV1 keratitis,SAL reduced corneal lesions by 71%.CONCLUSION:The results of this study demonstrate that SAL can be used to inhibit HSV1 infection,particularly *** studies are needed to determine the active components and mechanism underlying the effects of SAL.

With the continuous breakthrough in information technology and its integration into practical applications, industrial digital twins are expected to accelerate their development in the near future. This paper studies various control strategies for digital twin systems from the viewpoint of practical *** make full use of advantages of digital twins for control systems, an architecture of digital twin control systems, adaptive model tracking scheme, performance prediction scheme, performance retention scheme, and fault tolerant control scheme are proposed. Those schemes are detailed to deal with different issues on model tracking, performance prediction, performance retention, and fault tolerant control of digital twin systems. Also, the stability of digital twin control systems is analysed. The proposed schemes for digital twin control systems are illustrated by examples.
