This paper proposed a new method for unmanned aerial vehicle（UAV） path planning based on K-means algorithm and simulated annealing（SA） algorithm, which solves the problem for multi-UAVs with multi-mission under complicated constraints. Firstly, the model is established for the no-fly zone, the target zone and the valid zone for cruise within it in the mission area. Then, the decomposition technique decomposes the valid area into multiple sub-target points reasonably. Secondly, the K-means algorithm is used to cluster the target points of UAV cruise, which solves the problem for UAV cruise range and scheduling issues. Combining the SA algorithm for the similar sub-target route planning, this technique increases the coverage of the UAVs in the sub-target area of cruise valid area. Finally, taking the real data of UAVs in earthquake relief as an example, the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method is validated by simulation experiments.

An analytical two-degree-of-freedom（TDOF） control scheme for integrating processes with time delay is proposed in this paper.Performances of both set-point tracking and input load disturbance rejection（ILDR） can be improved by the proposed method.Firstly,all controllers which make the closed loop system internally stable and have no steady-error have been employed.Secondly,the set-point tracking controller and the disturbance rejection controller are analytically derived in terms of the integral-squared-error（ISE） performance specifications.The nominal set-point response is decoupled from the load disturbance response in the adopted TDOF control scheme.In consequence,both of the set-point tracking performance and load disturbance rejection performance can be optimized simultaneously and separately.Finally,simulation results are given to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method.

Heart failure(HF)is a worldwide problem due to the substantial morbidity and mortality of patients with cardiovascular diseases.Recently,the PARADIGM-HF trial(the Prospective comparison of angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor[ARNI]with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor[ACEI]to Determine Impact on Global Mortality and morbidity in Heart Failure trial)showed that ischemic heart disease is the most common etiology of HF,which accounts for 60%of HF with reduced ejection fraction(HFrEF).

Nerve transfer is the most common treatment for total brachial plexus avulsion injury. After nerve transfer, the movement of the injured limb may be activated by certain movements of the healthy limb at the early stage of recovery, i.e., trans-hemispheric reorganization. Pre- vious studies have focused on functional magnetic resonance imaging and changes in brain-derived neurotrophic factor and growth asso- ciated protein 43, but there have been no proteomics studies. In this study, we designed a rat model of total brachial plexus avulsion injury involving contralateral C7 nerve transfer. Isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation and western blot assay were then used to screen differentially expressed proteins in bilateral motor cortices. We found that most differentially expressed proteins in both cortices of upper limb were associated with nervous system development and function （including neuron differentiation and development, axonogenesis, and guidance）, microtubule and cytoskeleton organization, synapse plasticity, and transmission of nerve impulses. Two key differentially expressed proteins, neurofilament light （NFL） and Thy-1, were identified. In contralateral cortex, the NFL level was upregulated 2 weeks after transfer and downregulated at 1 and 5 months. The Thy-1 level was upregulated from 1 to 5 months. In the affected cortex, the NFL level increased gradually from 1 to 5 months. Western blot results of key differentially expressed proteins were consistent with the proteom- ic findings. These results indicate that NFL and Thy-1 play an important role in trans-hemispheric organization following total brachial plexus root avulsion and contralateral C7 nerve transfer.

Carotenoids are involved in many essential physiological functions and are produced from geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate through synthase,desaturase,and cyclase activities.In the pea aphid(Acyrthosiphon pisum),the duplication of carotenoid biosynthetic genes,including carotenoid synthases/cyclases(ApCscA-C)and desaturases(ApCdeA-D),through horizontal gene transfer from fungi has been detected,and ApCdeB has known dehydrogenation functions.However,whether other genes contribute to aphid carotenoid biosynthesis,and its specific regulatory pathway,remains unclear.In the current study,functional analyses of seven genes were performed using heterologous complementation and RNA interference assays.The bifunctional enzymes ApCscA-C were responsible for the synthase of phytoene,and ApCscC may also have a cyclase activity.ApCdeA,ApCdeC,and ApCdeD had diverse dehydrogenation functions.ApCdeA catalyzed the enzymatic conversion of phytoene to neurosporene(three-step product),ApCdeC catalyzed the enzymatic conversion of phytoene to ζ-carotene(two-step product),and ApCdeD catalyzed the enzymatic conversion of phytoene to lycopene(four-step product).Silencing of ApCscs reduced the expression levels of ApCdes,and silencing these carotenoid biosynthetic genes reduced the α-,β-,and γ-carotene levels,as well as the total carotenoid level.The results suggest that these genes were activated and led to carotenoid biosynthesis in the pea aphid.

The high NO_(3)^(−)concentration in fine particulate matters(PM_(2.5))during heavy haze events has attracted much attention,but the formation mechanism of nitrates remains largely uncertain,especially concerning heterogeneous uptake of NOX by aqueous phase.In this work,the heterogeneous uptake of NO_(2) by sodium acetate(NaAc)droplets with different NO_(2) concentrations and relative humidity(RH)conditions is investigated by microscopic Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(micro-FTIR).The IR feature changes of aqueous droplets indicate the acetate depletion and nitrite formation in humid environment.This implies that acetate droplets can provide the alkaline aqueous circumstances caused by acetate hydrolysis and acetic acid(HAc)volatilization for nitrite formation during the NO_(2) heterogeneous uptake.Meanwhile,the nitrite formation will exhibit a pH neutralizing effect on acetate hydrolysis,further facilitating HAc volatilization and acetate depletion.The heterogeneous uptake coefficient increases from 5.2×10^(−6) to 1.27×10^(−5) as RH decreases from 90%to 60%due to the enhanced HAc volatilization.Furthermore,no obvious change in uptake coefficient with different NO_(2) concentrations is observed.This work may provide a new pathway for atmospheric nitrogen cycling and secondary nitrite aerosol formation.

Background： Endometriosis （EMs） is a common gynecological disorder characterized by endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus. Hypoxia induces the expression of many important downstream genes to regulate the implantation, survival, and maintenance ofectopic endometriotic lesions. Transtbrming growth factor-beta I （TGF-β1） plays a major role in the etiology of EMs. We aimed to determine whether TGF-β1 affects EMs development and progression and its related mechanisms in hypoxic conditions. Methods： Endometrial tissue was obtained from women with or without EMs undergoing surgery from October, 2015 to October, 2016. Endometrial cells were cultured and then exposed to hypoxia and TGF-β1 or TGF-β1 inhibitors. The messenger RNA （mRNA） and protein expression levels ofTGF-β1, vascular endothelial growth fhctor （VEGF）, and hypoxia-inducible fhctor-Ic~ （HIF-β1） were measured. A DuaI-Luciferase Reporter Assay was used to examine the effect ofTGF-[31 and hypoxia on a VEGF promoter construct. Student＇s t-test was pertbrmed/br comparison among groups （one-sided or two-sided） and a value ofP 〈 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results： TGF-β1, VEGF, HIF-β1 mRNA, and protein expression were significantly higher in EMs tissue than that in normal endometrial tissue （t = 2.16, P = 0.042）. EMs primary cultured cells exposed to hypoxia expressed 43.8% higher VEGF mRNA and protein （t = 6.84, P - 0.023）. VEGF mRNA levels increased 12.5% in response to TGF-β1, whereas the combined treatment of hypoxia/TGF-β1 resulted in a much higher production （87.5% increases） of VEGF. The luciferase activity of the VEGF promoter construct was increased in the presence of either TGF-β1 （2.6-fold, t = 6.08, P = 0.032） or hypoxia （11.2-fold, t = 32.70, P 〈 0.001 ）, whereas the simultaneous presence of both stimuli resulted in a significant cooperative effect （ 18.5-fold, t = 33.50, P 〈 0.001 ）. Status epilepticus has been shown to activate the proliferation of neural stem cells in the hippocampus of the brain, while also causing a large amount of neuronal death, especially in the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus and the subventricular zone. Simultaneously, proliferating stem cells tend to migrate to areas with obvious damage. Our previous studies have clearly confirmed the effect of sodium valproate on cognitive function in rats with convulsive status epilepticus. However, whether neurogenesis can play a role in the antiepileptic effect of sodium valproate remains unknown. A model of convulsive status epilepticus was established in Wistar rats by intraperitoneal injection of 3 mEq/kg lithium chloride, and intraperitoneal injection of pilocarpine 40 mg/kg after 18–20 hours. Sodium valproate(100, 200, 300, 400, 500, or 600 mg/kg) was intragastrically administered six times every day(4-hour intervals) for 5 days. To determine the best dosage, sodium valproate concentration was measured from the plasma. The effective concentration of sodium valproate in the plasma of the rats that received the 300-mg/kg intervention was 82.26 ± 11.23 μg/mL. Thus, 300 mg/kg was subsequently used as the intervention concentration of sodium valproate. The following changes were seen: Recording excitatory postsynaptic potentials in the CA1 region revealed high-frequency stimulation-induced long-term potentiation. Immunohistochemical staining for BrdU-positive cells in the brain revealed that sodium valproate intervention markedly increased the success rate and the duration of induced long-term potentiation in rats with convulsive status epilepticus. The intervention also reduced the number of newborn neurons in the subgranular area of the hippocampus and subventricular zone and inhibited the migration of newborn neurons to the dentate gyrus. These results indicate that sodium valproate can effectively inhibit the abnormal proliferation and migration of neural stem cells and newborn neurons after convulsive status epileptic

Intraocular pressure with rebound tonometry and effects of topical intraocular pressure reducing medications in guinea pigs

AIM： To investigate the intraocular pressure（IOP） of adult guinea pig eyes with rebound tonometry（RBT）,and assess the effects of four distinctive topical IOP reducing medications including Carteolol,Brimonidine,Brinzolamide and Latanoprost.METHODS： The IOPs of twenty-four 12-week-old guinea pigs（48 eyes） were measured every two hours in one day with RBT as baselines.All the animals were then divided into four groups（Carteolol,Brimonidine,Brinzolamide and Latanaprost groups,n=6）.The IOPs were measured and compared to the baseline 1,2,3,5,7,9,15 and 24 h after treatment.RESULTS： The mean baseline IOP of 24 guinea pigs（48 eyes） was 10.3±0.36 mm Hg（6-13 mm Hg） and no binocular significant differences of IOPs were observed（t=1.76,P〉0.05）.No significant difference of IOP in Carteolol group at each time point was observed before and after treatment（t=1.48,P〉0.05）.In Brimonidine group,IOP was 2.2±1.9 mm Hg lower than the baseline after one hour（t=3.856,P=0.003） and lasted for one hour.In Brinzolamide group,IOP was 1.4±1.1 mm Hg lower than the baseline after one hour（t=4.53,P=0.001） and lasted for 7h and the IOP declined most at 3h.In Latanaprost group,IOP was 2.1±1.3 mm Hg lower than the baseline after one hour（t=6.11,P=0.001） and lasted for one hour.CONCLUSION： The IOP of guinea pig eyes is relatively stable compared to human eyes.In four reducing IOP medications,no significant effect of Carteolol is observed.Brinzolamide has the longest duration,while the Brimonidine has the shortest duration and the maximum level of treatment.
