AIM：To explore the roles of phospholipids and sphingolipids in the inflammatory process of ***：Aqueous humor（AH） and the retina were obtained from endotoxin-induced uveitis（EIU） rats during the acute inflammation stage（24 h after endotoxin injection）.Lipids were extracted using a modified Bligh and Dyer method and subjected to mass spectrometric identification using class-specific lipid standards and ratiometric *** intensity analysis was performed to evaluate the amount change of common lipids between the EIU and control ***：Unique lipid species encompassing all five phospholipid classes were found in both control and the EIU AH and *** with the significantly increased level of lysophospholipids in the EIU AH and retina,we found that the ratio of lysophospholipids to total phospholipids was significantly increased *** also detected a significant increase in 18：0 lysophosphatidylcholine levels in the EIU group（fold change =6.4 in AH and 3.8 in retina）.Cer240,Cer241,and SM240 levels remarkably increased in the EIU *** C12 ceramide-1-phosphate（C12 C-1-P）,C16 C-1-P,C24 C-1-P,and upregulated Cer160,Cer240,SM120,and SM240 were found in EIU retina.C-1-P was believed to restore homeostasis by inhibiting nuclear factor kappa B（NF-κB） ***,we still found elevated NF-κB levels in the EIU ***：A variety of lipids might have played a critical role in EIU *** topical application of these protective lipids or inhibition of these pro-inflammatory lipids may be useful therapeutic strategies for the resolution of EIU.

Co-exposure to heavy metal and antibiotic pollution might result in complexation and synergistic interactions,affecting rice growth and further exacerbating pollutant ***,our study sought to clarify the influence of different Tetracycline (TC) and Cadmium(Cd) concentration ratios (both alone and combined) on rice growth,pollutant accumulation,and transportation during the tillering stage in hydroponic ***,our findings indicated that the interaction between TC and Cd could alleviate the toxic effects of TC/Cd on aerial rice structures and decrease pollutant burdens during root *** contrast,TC and Cd synergistically promoted the accumulation of TC/Cd in rice ***,their interaction increased the accumulation of TC in roots while decreasing the accumulation of Cd when the toxicant doses *** strong affinity of rice to Cd promoted its upward transport from the roots,whereas the toxic effects of TC reduced TC ***,the combined toxicity of the two pollutants inhibited their upward ***,a low concentration of TC promoted the accumulation of Cd in rice mainly in the root ***,a certain dose of TC promoted the upward migration of Cd from the root *** ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry demonstrated that Cd mainly accumulated in the epidermis and stele of the root,whereas Fe mainly accumulated in the epidermis,which inhibited the absorption and accumulation of Cd by the rice roots through the generation of a Fe *** findings thus provide insights into the effects of TC and Cd co-exposure on rice growth.

The oxidation of hydrocarbons to produce high value-added compounds(ketones or alcohols)using oxygen in air as the only oxidant is an efficient synthetic strategy from both environmental and economic ***,we successfully synthesized cobalt single atom site catalysts(Co SACs)with high metal loading of 23.58 wt.%supported on carbon nitride(CN),which showed excellent catalytic properties for oxidation of ethylbenzene in ***,Co SACs show a much higher turn-over frequency(19.6 h^(−1))than other reported non-noble catalysts under the same ***,the as-obtained nanosized or homogenous Co catalysts are inert to this *** SACs also exhibit high selectivity(97%)and stability(unchanged after five runs)in this *** calculations reveal that Co SACs show a low energy barrier in the first elementary step and a high resistance to water,which result in the robust catalytic performance for this reaction.

Craniomaxillofacial reconstruction implants,which are extensively used in head and neck surgery,are conventionally made in standardized *** surgery,the implant must be bended manually to match the anatomy of the individual *** bending process is time-consuming,especially for inexperienced ***,repetitive bending may induce undesirable internal stress concentration,resulting in fatigue under masticatory loading in v iv o and causing various complications such as implant fracture,screw loosening,and bone *** have been reports on the use of patient-specific 3D-printed implants for craniomaxillofacial reconstruction,although few reports have considered implant *** this paper,we present a systematic approach for making 3D-printed patientspecific surgical implants for craniomaxillofacial *** approach consists of three parts:First,an easy-to-use design module is developed using Solidworks®software,which helps surgeons to design the implants and the axillary fixtures for *** engineers can then carry out the detailed design and use finite-element modeling(FEM)to optimize the ***,the fabrication process is carried out in three steps:0 testing the quality of the powder;(2)setting up the appropriate process parameters and running the 3D printing process;and (3)conducting post-processing treatments(i.e.,heat and surface treatments)to ensure the quality and performance of the ***,the operation begins after the final checking of the implant and *** the surgery,postoperative rehabilitation follow-up can be carried out using our patient tracking *** this systematic approach,we have successfully conducted a total of 41 surgical cases.3D-printed patient-specific implants have a number of advantages;in particular,their use reduces surgery time and shortens patient recovery ***,the presented approach helps to ensure implant quality.

Synthesis and Biological Activities of Novel Methyl Xanthine Derivatives

Caffeine is one of methyl xanthine compounds,which has the similar mode of action as ryanodine receptor *** order to find novel and efficient insecticide,structural modification of certain methyl xanthine compounds was made by introducing some common pesticidal active moieties into the structure of *** novel methyl xanthine compounds were synthesized and characterized by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance（1H NMR）,elemental analylsis or high-resolution mass spectrometry（HRMS）.According to the biological activity results,it was found that these new compounds show moderate activity towards Mythimna separata Walker and Culex pipiens *** example,compound 2d shows a lethality rate of 40％ at 200 mg/L towards Mythimna separata Walker,compounds 2i and 2f show 56.7％ and 53.3％ lethality rates at 2 mg/L towards Culex pipiens pallens,which are all better than *** addition,some compounds of them show moderate antifungal activity to some plant pathogenous fungi.

Effects of CpG-ODNs on phenotype and function of monocyte-derived dendritic cells in chronic hepatitis B

Objective To evaluate the influence of first-line anti-tuberculosis treatment on pyrazinamide phenotypic drug resistance and PncA gene mutation by comparing the results of pre-treatment drug sensitivity test and second sensitivity testing after 6-8 week of empirical treatment,focusing on PncA gene mutations and phenotypic *** Collect bacterial strains of initial MDR-TB patients(22 patients) before and after 2 months of treatment in Shandong Provincial Chest Hospital from 2015 to 2017,and analyze medical history and treatment *** out drug susceptibility test with the maintained mycobacterium tuberculosis strains(learn about the phenotypic drug resistance against pyrazinamide),conduct genetic typing detection for all bacterial strains,amplify drug resistance genes pncA related to pyrazinamide through PCR and conduct DNA *** *** resistance in 3 patients(13.6%) at the end of 2 moths after treatment in 22 *** typing of two TB strains from the same patients(3 patients) indicate that they are the same strain not *** gene mutations in three patients with acquired pyrazinamide *** three patients with acquired pyrazinamide resistance had poorer treatment outcome compared to those without pyrazinamide *** This study tentatively suggests that the treatment of first-line anti-tuberculosis durgs in newly diagnoseed MDR patients will cause pyrazinamide resistance,and the patients with pyrazinamide resistance will have a poor treatment outcome.

AIM:To study the effects of synthetic nonmethylated CpG-containing oligodeoxynucleotides(CpG-ODNs) ,either alone or combined with recombinant Hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg) polypeptide,on the phenotype,function,and intracellular signaling pathways of monocyte-derived dendritic cells(DCs) in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB) .METHODS:Peripheral blood monocytes isolated from CHB patients and healthy volunteers were induced to be dendritic cells by recombinant human granulocyte-monocyte colony stimulating factor and *** DCs were then treated with CpG-ODNs,CpGODNs/HBsAg,or tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αfor 18 *** expression of surface molecules including HLA-DR,CD86,and CD1a in DCs were detected by flow cytometry,and the expression of signal transducers and activators of transcription(STAT1,3,4,5,6) and suppressors of cell signaling(SOCS1,3) were determined by Western blotting *** addition,the capacity of DCs to stimulate allogeneic T lymphocytes and the amount of IL-12p70 released from DCs were ***:In the DCs derived from patients with CHB,treatment with TNF-α,CpG-ODNs,or CpG-ODNs/HBsAg,as compared to the vector control,significantly increased the expression of HLA-DR,stimulated the release of IL-12p70,and enhanced the capacity of DCs to stimulate allogenic T *** expressions of STAT1/4/6 and SOCS1/3,but not STAT3/5,were upregulated by TNF-α,CpG-ODNs,and CpG-ODNs/*** addition,the expression of CD1a was upregulated only in the presence of both CpG-ODNs and ***:The treatment with CpG-ODNs,either alone or combined with HBsAg,has a remarkable stimulatory effect on the impaired phenotype and function of DCs in CHB,possibly by regulating the expression of STAT1,4,6 and SOCS1,3.

This paper provides an analysis of gender binarism in Carson McCullers’novel,The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter,situated within the socio-cultural milieu of Southern *** examines the depiction of persisting challenges posed by binary gender paradigms and the portrayal of potential emancipation within the *** analysis focuses on two central characters,interpreting them as contrasting *** character represents the paradox inherent in the rebellious endeavors,highlighting how these actions,influenced by Phallocentrism and a broader framework of hierarchical structures,might inadvertently reinforce gender *** other character exemplifies a triumphant departure from the binary gender paradigm through striving to attain a state of equilibrium marked by the harmonious coexistence of gender *** this analysis,the paper reveals the author’s dual perspectives in her exploration of gender binarism using these two distinct *** last,it employs the traditional Chinese philosophical concept of“harmony in diversity”in conjunction with feminist and gender theories to elucidate the encouraged path toward emancipation from gender binarism within McCullers’narrative.
