Seismic rock physical modelling for gas hydrate-bearing sediments

There are ambiguities and uncertainties in the recognition of gas hydrate seismic reflections and in quantitative predictions of physical information of natural gas hydrate reservoirs from seismic data. Rock physical modelling is a bridge that transforms the seismic information of geophysical observations into physical information, but traditional rock physics models lack descriptions of reservoir micro-structures and pore-filling materials. Considering the mineral compositions and pore microstructures of gas hydrates, we built rock physical models for load-bearing and pore-filling gas hydrate-bearing sediments,describe the mineral compositions, pore connectivity and pore shape using effective media theory, calculated the shear properties of pore-filling gas hydrates using Patchy saturation theory and Generalized Gassmann theory, and then revealed the quantitative relation between the elastic parameters and physical parameters for gas hydrate-bearing sediments. The numerical modelling results have shown that the ratios of P-wave and S-wave velocities decrease with hydrate saturation, the P-wave and S-wave velocities of load-bearing gas hydrate-bearing sediments are more sensitive to hydrate saturation, sensitivity is higher with narrower pores, and the ratios of the P-wave and S-wave velocities of pore-filling gas hydrate-bearing sediments are more sensitive to shear properties of hydrates at higher hydrate saturations. Theoretical analysis and practical application results showed that the rock physical models in this paper can be used to calculate the quantitative relation between macro elastic properties and micro physical properties of gas hydrate-bearing sediments, offer shear velocity information lacking in well logging, determine elastic parameters that have more effective indicating abilities, obtain physical parameters such as hydrate saturation and pore aspect ratios, and provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for gas hydrate quantitative predic

Truth finder algorithm based on entity attributes for data conflict solution

The Internet now is a large-scale platform with big data. Finding truth from a huge dataset has attracted extensive attention, which can maintain the quality of data collected by users and provide users with accurate and efficient data. However, current truth finder algorithms are unsatisfying, because of their low accuracy and complication. This paper proposes a truth finder algorithm based on entity attributes (TFAEA). Based on the iterative computation of source reliability and fact accuracy, TFAEA considers the interactive degree among facts and the degree of dependence among sources, to simplify the typical truth finder algorithms. In order to improve the accuracy of them, TFAEA combines the one-way text similarity and the factual conflict to calculate the mutual support degree among facts. Furthermore, TFAEA utilizes the symmetric saturation of data sources to calculate the degree of dependence among sources. The experimental results show that TFAEA is not only more stable, but also more accurate than the typical truth finder algorithms.

Green synthesis of novel conjugated poly(perylene diimide)as cathode with stable sodium storage

Conjugated polymers of organic carbonyl compounds are promising electrode materials for energy storage devices owing to the renewable development prospects,structural variability,and better insolubility in ***,the synthesis methods in solution are cumbersome and complicated in separation and purification,and require the introduction of functional groups and use of expensive *** this work,a novel conjugated poly(3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic diimide)(PPI)with superior thermal stability and lower solubility was prepared successfully by a green facile mechanical ball milling *** PPI exhibits enhanced electrochemical dynamics performance,preferable rate capability,higher discharge capacity,and excellent cycling stability of 450 cycles at 0.2 C with higher capacity retention of 85.7%when used as cathode material for sodium-ion ***,the in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD)and in-situ Raman investigations combined with the Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)were carried out to investigate the sodium storage *** results indicate that only two sodium ions are bound to two opposite carbonyl groups of PPI monomer to form sodium enolates during normal charging and discharging and to deliver available reversible capacity.

Kernel-blending connection approximated by a neural network for image classification

This paper proposes a kernel-blending connection approximated by a neural network(KBNN)for image classification.A kernel mapping connection structure,guaranteed by the function approximation theorem,is devised to blend feature extraction and feature classification through neural network ***,a feature extractor learns features from the raw ***,an automatically constructed kernel mapping connection maps the feature vectors into a feature ***,a linear classifier is used as an output layer of the neural network to provide classification ***,a novel loss function involving a cross-entropy loss and a hinge loss is proposed to improve the generalizability of the neural *** results on three well-known image datasets illustrate that the proposed method has good classification accuracy and generalizability.

Coarsening kinetics of γ' precipitates in a Re-containing Ni-based single crystal superalloy during long-term aging

The morphological evolution and coarsening kinetics ofγ'precipitates in a Re-containing Ni-based single crystal superalloy were investigated during isothermal aging at 900,950 and 1000℃.After heat treatment,well-defined cuboidalγ'precipitates with low misfit was obtained within the experimental *** coarsening rate constants and particle size distribution(PSD)ofγ'phases were calculated and specified based on the measured precipitate sizes for va rying periods of aging times from 100 to 2000 *** aging for 2000 h,γ'precipitates maintained cubical shape at 900℃,while exhibited sphere at 950 and 1000℃.Coarsening models based on diffusion-controlled process with a functional relationship of r^(3) vs.t(classic Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner coarsening model)and interface-controlled model with a function of r^(2) vs.t(trans-interface diffusion-controlled coarsening model)were investigated to fit between the experimental results and theoretical *** was found that Re as the slowest diffusing solute in the alloy constituted the rate-limited step for coarsening based on LSW model,while the process limiting coarsening as governed by an interface diffusion process could possibly be related to the Al diffusion through theγ/γ'*** PSDs and coarsening exponent were discussed by comparing the experimental data with predictions of LSW and TIDC ***,coarsening mechanism could be divided into four regimes:(i)coarsening by diffusion-controlled;(ii)coarsening by diffusion and interface cocontrolled;(iii)coarsening by interface-controlled;(iv)coarsening by interface-controlled accompanied withγ'coalescence.

Inhaled drug-containing nanocarriers have been well applied as an important strategy in pulmonary *** lung injury(ALI)is characterized by abnormal lung tension and complex pathogenesis,with high mortality because of the limitations of targeted ***,in the present study,we first identified that the mechanosensitive ion channel Piezo1 participated in the ALI-associated processes induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS)in vitro and in ***,chitosan-stabilized bovine serum albu-min nanoparticles(NCs)emulsified with the Piezo1 inhibitor GsMTx4(NC-GsMTx4)were generated and exhibited excellent biocompatibility and biological *** aerosol inhalation,NC-GsMTx4 im-proved lung injury and inhibited cell apoptosis in LPS-stressed ALI mice and alleviated pulmonary fibrosis during the later stage of ***,GsMTx4 could regulate inflammation and apoptosis in lung epithelial cells via NF-κB and ERK1/2 *** summary,our findings provide new insights into the pathological mechanisms of Piezo1 in ALI progression,and nebulized inhalation of NC-GsMTx4 offers a prospective platform for targeting Piezo1 to treat ALI efficiently and conveniently.

Genetic variations in plant architecture traits in cotton(Gossypium hirsutum) revealed by a genomewide association study

Plant architecture traits influence crop yield. An understanding of the genetic basis of cotton plant architecture traits is beneficial for identifying favorable alleles and functional genes and breeding elite cultivars. We collected 121 cotton accessions including 100 brownfiber and 21 white-fiber accessions, genotyped them by whole-genome resequencing, and phenotyped them in multiple environments. This genome-wide association study(GWAS)identified 11 quantitative trait loci(QTL) for two plant architecture traits: plant height and fruit spur branch number. Negative-effect alleles were enriched in the elite cultivars. Based on these QTL, gene annotation information, and published QTL, candidate genes and natural genetic variations in four QTL were identified. Ghir_D02 G017510 and Ghir_D02 G017600 were identified as candidate genes for qD02-FSBN-1, and a premature start codon gain variation was found in Ghir_D02 G017510. Ghir_A12 G026570, the candidate gene of qA12-FSBN-2, belongs to the pectin lyase-like superfamily, and a significantly associated SNP, A12_105366045(T/C), in this gene represents an amino acid change. The QTL, candidate genes, and associated natural variations in this study are expected to lay a foundation for studying functional genes and developing breeding programs for desirable architecture in brown-fiber cotton.

Finite-difference modeling with variable grid-size and adaptive time-step in porous media

Forward modeling of elastic wave propagation in porous media has great importance for understanding and interpreting the influences of rock properties on characteristics of seismic wavefield. However,the finite-difference forward-modeling method is usually implemented with global spatial grid-size and time-step; it consumes large amounts of computational cost when small-scaled oil/gas-bearing structures or large velocity-contrast exist underground. To overcome this handicap,combined with variable grid-size and time-step,this paper developed a staggered-grid finite-difference scheme for elastic wave modeling in porous media. Variable finite-difference coefficients and wavefield interpolation were used to realize the transition of wave propagation between regions of different grid-size. The accuracy and efficiency of the algorithm were shown by numerical examples. The proposed method is advanced with low computational cost in elastic wave simulation for heterogeneous oil/gas reservoirs.
