Endobiliary brush cytology during percutaneous transhepatic cholangiodrainage in patients with obstructive jaundice

BACKGROUND:Nonsurgical pathologic diagnosis of malignant bile duct stricture with a high sensitivity and specificity is desirable for therapeutic scheme. Percutaneous transhepatic endobiliary brush cytology in detecting obstructive jaundice is evaluated.;METHODS:Fifty-eight consecutive patients with obstructive jaundice underwent percutaneous transhepatic cholangiodrainage (PTCD). During the process, a brush was inserted into the bile duct through the preexisted percutaneous transhepatic 8-F sheath, then exfoliated cells were collected from the bile duct stenosis and sent for cytologic diagnosis. The suspicious results were considered of negative diagnosis. All patients had relevant clinical data and follow-up results (15 months to 3 years). Statistical analysis was performed with the chi-square test and Fisher's exact test of probabilities, and a P value0.05).;CONCLUSIONS:The results of this study indicate that cytological brushing of biliary stricture during PTCD is a useful method to establish a diagnosis of malignant biliary stenosis with a high sensitivity, but the negative predictive value is not satisfied.

Reducing the concentration of carbon dioxide(CO2) in the air can effectively alleviate climate change.Air capture,which captures CO2 directly from the air in an industrial process,is an alternative option to address climate change.The results of recent studies on the energy demand in CO2 capture process and the costs of CO2transport and CO2 storage in air capture are analyzed in this paper.Considering renewable energy will not produce additional CO2 in the process of utilization,the electric energy in CO2 capture process of air capture driven by wind energy is different from that of carbon capture and storage.Taking externalities of renewable energy intoaccount,the trading price of CO2 emission is taken to assess the cost of electric energy in CO2 capture of air capture driven by wind energy.Finally,the total cost and the total cost savings of air capture driven by wind energy under different scenarios are analyzed.

Objective :Pulmonary sarcomatous neoplasms are a rare group of tumors occur in the lung[1]. We received a pair of monozygotic twins discordant for sarcomatoid neoplasms of the right principal bronchus in their early age. Identical twins were grown in the same environment and the genetic similarity was highly consistent, so we thought the very small number of genetic differences between the sisters may be involved in the occurrence of the disaster. As we all know, most human pathogenic genes are caused by mutations in exons. In order to find out novel genes related to the patient’s tumor, exome sequencing which has unique advantages in identifying the causative genes of rare diseases was applied.Methods : Exome sequencing was used in the twins mentioned above. Through comparison analysis among the twins and the general population, 11 genes were first screened out. After further siRNA screening of these genes, we identified H4K20-specific histone methyltransferase SETD8 as the most possible participant in tumor occurrence. Two individual siRNAs of SETD8 were used in U2OS and human bronchial epithelium(HBE) cells, cell proliferation, apoptosis, ageing, cell cycle were analyzed. To determine the effect of single nucleotide variation(SNV, T904C) in patient’s setd8, we overexpressed wildtype and mutant SETD8 respectively in cells, immunoprecipitation and mass spectrometry were followed to analysis the differences in interaction with other proteins, we also amplified wildtype and mutant SETD8 protein in vitro to assess their methyltransferase activity.Results : : The silencing of SETD8 inhibited cell proliferation and increased apoptosis in both two cell lines. Cell cycle arrest and DNA damage also occurred without setd8. DNA fiber assay showed that compared with control, cells transfected with setd8 siRNA exhibited slower replication fork speed. Overexpress exogenous wildtype and mutant SETD8, protein interaction analysis revealed that the mutant SETD8 enhanced histone H4 binding and H4K20me1 levels. Methyltransferase

Auxin is an important phytohormone in plants, and auxin signaling pathways in rice play key roles in regulating its growth, development, and productivity. To investigate how rice grain yield traits are regulated by auxin signaling pathways and to facilitate their application in rice improvement, we validated the functional relationships among regulatory genes such as OsIAA10, OsSK41, and OsARF21 that are involved in one of the auxin(OsIAA10) signaling pathways. We assessed the phenotypic effects of these genes on several grain yield traits across two environments using knockout and/or overexpression transgenic lines.Based on the results, we constructed a model that showed how grain yield traits were regulated by OsIAA10 and OsTIR1, OsAFB2, and OsSK41 and OsmiR393 in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module and by OsARF21 in the transcriptional regulation of downstream auxin response genes in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module. The population genomic analyses revealed rich genetic diversity and the presence of major functional alleles at most of these loci in rice populations. The strong differentiation of many major alleles between Xian/indica and geng/japonica subspecies and/or among modern varieties and landraces suggested that they contributed to improved productivity during evolution and breeding. We identified several important aspects associated with the genetic and molecular bases of rice grain and yield traits that were regulated by auxin signaling pathways.We also suggested rice auxin response factor(OsARF) activators as candidate target genes for improving specific target traits by overexpression and/or editing subspecies-specific alleles and by searching and pyramiding the ‘best' gene allelic combinations at multiple regulatory genes in auxin signaling pathways in rice breeding programs.

Low-power Hall thruster(LHT) generally has poor discharge efficiency characteristics due to the large surface-to-volume ratio.Aiming to further refine and improve the performance of 300 W class LHT in terms of thrust and efficiency,and to obtain the most optimal operating point,the experimental study of the discharge characteristics for three different anode positions was conducted under the operation of various discharge voltages(100-400 V) and anode mass flow rates(0.65 mg·s-1and 0.95 mg·s-1).The experimental results indicated that the thruster has the most excellent performance in terms of thrust and efficiency etc at a channel length of 27 mm for identical operating conditions.In addition,particle in cell simulations,employed to reveal the underlying physical mechanisms,show that the ionization and acceleration zone is pushed downwards towards the channel exit as the anode moves towards the exit.At the identical operating point,when the channel length is reduced from 32 to 27 mm,the ionization and acceleration zone moves towards the exit,and the parameters such as thrust and efficiency increase due to the high ionization rate,ion number density,and axial electric field.When the channel length is further moved to 24 mm,the parameters in terms of thrust(F) and efficiency(ηa) are reduced as a result of the decreasing ionization efficiency(ηm) and the larger plume divergence angle(α).In this paper,the results indicated that an optimum anode position(ΔL=27 mm) exists for the optimum performance.

The distribution of the thermal effects of the ion thruster plume are essential for estimating the influence of the thruster plume, improving the layout of the spacecraft, and for the thermal shielding of critical sensitive components. In order to obtain the heat flow distribution in the plume of the LIPS-200 xenon ion thruster, an experimental study of the thermal effects of the plume has been conducted in this work,with a total heat flow sensor and a radiant heat flow sensor over an axial distance of 0.5–0.9 m and a thruster angle of 0°–60°. Combined with a Faraday probe and a retarding potential analyzer, the thermal accommodation coefficient of the sensor surface in the plume is available. The results of the experiment show that the xenon ion thruster plume heat flow is mainly concentrated within a range of15°. The total and radial heat flow of the plume downstream of the thruster gradually decreases along the axial and radial directions, with the corresponding values of 11.78 k W m^(-2) and 0.3 k W m^(-2) for the axial 0.5 m position, respectively. At the same position, the radiation heat flow accounts for a very small part of the total heat flow, approximately 3%–5%. The thermal accommodation factor is0.72–0.99 over the measured region. Furthermore, the PIC and DSMC methods based on the Maxwell thermal accommodation coefficient model(EX-PWS) show a maximum error of 28.6% between simulation and experiment for LIPS-200 ion thruster plume heat flow, which, on the one hand, provides an experimental basis for studying the interaction between the ion thruster and the spacecraft, and on the other hand provides optimization of the ion thruster plume simulation model.

为分析数据中心用间接蒸发冷却空调在我国各气候区的能耗情况,选取了5个气候区中11个城市分析单台间接蒸发冷却空调机组的年耗电量、年耗水量及年运行费用。研究结果表明:室外气候越干燥,间接蒸发冷却空调干模式运行时间越长;温和地区间接蒸发冷却空调的应用存在较大的节能潜力;高温高湿地区机组的年运行费用明显高于其他地区;与年运行电费相比,年运行水费占比很小。因此,进行数据中心空调设计时,应着重考虑空调系统的耗电量,以便减少能耗,降低电能利用效率(PUE)。

从“结果-过程-前景”的视角阐释实体经济高质量发展的内涵,在此基础上构建包括经济效率、绿色生态、创新驱动、结构状态、开放环境和市场活力6个子系统,兼顾效率、绿色、创新、结构、开放与活力等6个维度的实体经济高质量发展水平评价指标体系。利用熵权TOPSIS法计算2009-2019年江苏省13个地级市的实体经济高质量发展指数,并分析各地区之间的差异。研究结果表明,江苏省实体经济高质量发展水平总体上呈现出先下降后上升的U形曲线,排名前5的城市均位于苏南地区,而排名后5位的城市均位于苏北地区。此外,实体经济高质量发展水平存在显著的内部差异,总差异曲线、组间差异曲线和组内差异曲线基本都呈现出3~5年为一个周期的周期性波动,且苏南地区内部的实体经济高质量发展水平差异远高于苏中和苏北地区。
