In the electronic information and intelligent era, microwave absorption materials have been focused on the issue of electromagnetic(EM) pollution, but high-performance absorbers with thin thickness are highly desirable. The positive action between structural design and component selection can be regarded as a function to optimize the microwave loss capacity, which contributes to understanding the response mechanisms from the micro and macro. Therefore, we designed the absorber with quasiperiodic structures of Penrose tiling that has finely engineered the location of maximum absorption peak, the spherical carbonyl iron in thin rhombus, and flakey carbonyl iron in fat rhombus, the effective absorption bandwidth(Reflection Loss ≤ –10 d B) was realized from 6.46 GHz to 15.78 GHz in the 2 mm thickness. The unique arrangement of Penrose tiling can respond alternatingly to EM waves at large scales, and multicomponent coupling is distinctly in the neighboring unit cells. In addition, spraying aluminum pigment as the upper layer, the infrared emissivity is less than 0.35 to meet the complex application environment.This work opens up novel ideas on quasiperiodic structure combined multicomponent and injects infinite vitality to provide prospects for broadband responsive and high-efciency EM absorbers.

Pork meat is closely related to physicochemical alterations during growth and development,resulting in differences in nutritional value and meat flavor.This study aimed to evaluate the composition of amino acids,fatty acids,and metabolic profiles in the longissimus thoracis muscle(LM)of Shaziling pigs aged 30,90,150,210,and 300 days.The results showed that the predominant fatty acids identified in the LM of Shaziling pigs were C16:0,C16:1,C18:0,C18:1n9c,and C18:2n6c.An opposite correlation was observed for C18:2n6c and n6/n3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(Pmate,Dglutamine,and D-glutamate metabolism were the main metabolic pathways for the Shaziling pig meat flavor(P<0.05).Moreover,the correlation coefficients revealed that the contents of anserine,C16:0,C16:1,and C18:1n9c were positively correlated with intramuscular fat and/or p H24hand were negatively correlated with the values of L^(*)(lightness)and b^(*)(yellowness)(P<0.05).In conclusion,age greatly affected the meat quality of Shaziling pigs,and the contents of muscular anserine,C16:0,C16:1,and C18:1n9c might be promising indicators for better meat quality.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a common chronic disease characterized by excessive fat accumulation in hepatocytes in the absence of alcohol consumption.Modern trends towards excessive calorie intake and sedentary life styles have increased the prevalence of NAFLD accompanied by obesity and type 2 diabetes.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying the initiation and progression of NAFLD are not clear.Zinc finger proteins(ZFPs)are a superfamily of metalloproteins that contain zinc finger motifs.ZFPs play diverse physiological roles in tissue homeostasis and also contribute to many pathological conditions,including metabolic,cardiovascular,and neurodegenerative diseases and various types of cancer.In this review,we highlight our current knowledge of several ZFPs that play critical roles in the progression of NAFLD,describe their mechanistic functional networks,and discuss the potential for ZFPs as therapeutic targets for NAFLD.

Effective peroxydisulfate activation by CQDs-MnFe_(2)O_(4)@ZIF-8 catalyst for complementary degradation of bisphenol A by free radicals and non-radical pathways

The present study reported fabrication of novel carbon quantum dots-MnFe_(2)O_(4)@ZIF-8(CQDs-MFO@ZIF-8)by using co-precipitation hydrothermal method for activation of peroxydisulfate(PDS)to degrade bisphenol A(BPA),one of important emerging organic pollutants in water environment.CQDs-MFO@ZIF-8 served as a highly efficient thermal activated PDS catalyst with high catalytic degradation efficiency,reusability and stability.The catalyst achieved almost completely removal of 20.0 mg/L BPA within 5.0 min,and the degradation efficiency remained higher than 83%after 5 consecutive cycles.Free radicals(^(·)OH,SO_(4)^(·-)and^(·)O_(2)^(-))and non-free radicals((1)O_(2))were generated in the thermal PDS-activation system,in which singlet oxygen((1)O_(2))played a dominant role in the degradation of BPA.The potential toxicity of BPA degradation intermediates was analyzed upon the culture of E.coli and Chlorella sorokiniana by using Ecological Structure-Activity Relationship Model(ECOSAR)program.The catalytic performances of BPA degradation by CQDs-MFO@ZIF-8 were evaluated for treatment of different practical water samples to further verify the feasibility of practical applications.This study provides proof-in-concept demonstration of new nanomaterials for enhanced catalytic water decontamination.

Beige fat,a newly discovered adipose tissue featuring high functional flexibility,exhibits the characteristics of white fat at rest,but can be activated to function like brown fat under cold or β-adrenergic stimulation via a process termed‘browning of white fat’.This activation enables beige fat to greatly promote heat production and energy consumption,as well as to improve systemic glucose and lipid metabolism.Beige fat also exists in supraclavicular and paraspinal regions in human adults,which endows its great potential forintervention ofobesityandmetabolic diseases.

RNA-seq analysis reveals the critical role of the novel lnc RNA BIANCR in intramuscular adipogenesis through the ERK1/2 signaling pathway

＜正＞Adipose tissues and liver are major lipid metabolic organs. Imbalance of lipid synthesis and breakdown in adipose tissues and liver disrupts lipid homeostasis and leads to metabolic diseases, including obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver. Our lab focuses on the identification of key lipid metabolic regulators in adipose tissues and livers that sense extracellular temperature and nutritional stress stimuli and internal factors such as aging and cellular senescence, with underlying mechanisms.

Background Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)regulate numerous biological processes,including adipogenesis.Research on adipogenesis will assist in the treatment of human metabolic diseases and improve meat quality in livestock,such as the content of intramuscular fat(IMF).However,the significance of lncRNAs in intramuscular adipogenesis remains unclear.This research aimed to reveal the lncRNAs transcriptomic profiles in the process of bovine intramuscular adipogenesis and to identify the lncRNAs involved in the adipogenesis of bovine intramuscular adipocytes.Results In this research,a landscape of lncRNAs was identified with RNA-seq in bovine intramuscular adipocytes at four adipogenesis stages(0 d,3 d,6 d,and 9 d after differentiation).A total of 7035 lncRNAs were detected,including 3396 novel lncRNAs.Based on the results of differential analysis,co-expression analysis,and functional prediction,we focused on the bovine intramuscular adipogenesis-associated long non-coding RNA(BIANCR),a novel lncRNA that may have an important regulatory function.The knockdown of BIANCR inhibited proliferation and promoted apoptosis of intramuscular preadipocytes.Moreover,BIANCR knockdown inhibited intramuscular adipogenesis by regulating the ERK1/2 signaling pathway.Conclusion This study obtained the landscape of lncRNAs during adipogenesis in bovine intramuscular adipocytes.BIANCR plays a crucial role in adipogenesis through the ERK1/2 signaling pathway.The results are noteworthy for improving beef meat quality,molecular breeding,and metabolic disease research.

This study aimed to reveal how amoxicillin（AMX） affected the microbial community and the spread mechanism of antibiotic resistance genes（ARGs） in the AMX manufacture wastewater treatment system. For this purpose, a 1.47 L expanded granular sludge bed（EGSB） reactor was designed and run for 241 days treating artificial AMX manufacture wastewater. 454 pyrosequencing was applied to analyze functional microorganisms in the system. The antibiotic genes OXA_（-1）, OXA_（-2）, OXA_（-10）, TEM_（-1）, CTX-M_（-1）, class I integrons（intI1） and 16 SrRNA genes were also examined in sludge samples. The results showed that the genera Ignavibacterium, Phocoenobacter,Spirochaeta, Aminobacterium and Cloacibacillus contributed to the degradation of different organic compounds（such as various sugars and amines）. And the relative quantification of eachβ-lactam resistance gene in the study was changed with the increasing of AMX concentration.Furthermore the vertical gene transfer was the main driver for the spread of ARGs rather than horizontal transfer pathways in the system.

Tissue-resident macrophages are derived from different precursor cells and display different phenotypes.Reconstitution of the tissue-resident macrophages of inflamed or damaged tissues in adults can be achieved by bone marrow-derived monocytes/macrophages.Using lysozyme(Lysm)-GFP-reporter mice,we found that alveolar macrophages(AMs),Kupffer cells,red pulp macrophages(Rpmacs),and kidney-resident macrophages were Lysm-GFP^(−),whereas all monocytes in the fetal liver,adult bone marrow,and blood were Lysm-GFP^(+).Donor-derived Lysm-GFP^(+)resident macrophages gradually became Lysm-GFP−in recipients and developed gene expression profiles characteristic of tissue-resident macrophages.Thus,Lysm may be used to distinguish newly formed and long-term surviving tissue-resident macrophages that were derived from bone marrow precursor cells in adult mice under pathological conditions.Furthermore,we found that Irf4 might be essential for resident macrophage differentiation in all tissues,while cytokine and receptor pathways,mTOR signaling pathways,and fatty acid metabolic processes predominantly regulated the differentiation of Rpmacs,Kupffer cells,and kidney macrophages,respectively.Deficiencies in ST2,mechanistic target of rapamycin(mTOR)and fatty acid-binding protein 5(FABP5)differentially impaired the differentiation of tissue-resident macrophages from bone marrow-derived monocytes/macrophages in the lungs,liver,and kidneys.These results indicate that a combination of shared and unique signaling pathways coordinately shape tissue-resident macrophage differentiation in various tissues.

Photochemical smog characterized by high concentrations of ozone(O_(3)) is a serious air pollution issue in the North China Plain(NCP)region,especially in summer and autumn.For this study,measurements of O_(3),nitrogen oxides(NO_(x)),volatile organic compounds(VOCs),carbon monoxide(CO),nitrous acid(HONO),and a number of key physical parameters were taken at a suburban site,Xianghe,in the NCP region during the summer of 2018 in order to better understand the photochemical processes leading to O_(3)formation and find an optimal way to control O_(3)pollution.Here,the radical chemistry and O_(3)photochemical budget based on measurement data from 1−23 July using a chemical box model is investigated.The daytime(0600−1800 LST)average production rate of the primary radicals referred to as RO_(x)(OH+HO2+RO2)is 3.9 ppbv h−1.HONO photolysis is the largest primary RO_(x)source(41%).Reaction of NO2+OH is the largest contributor to radical termination(41%),followed by reactions of RO2+NO2(26%).The average diurnal maximum O_(3)production and loss rates are 32.9 ppbv h−1 and 4.3 ppbv h−1,respectively.Sensitivity tests without the HONO constraint lead to decreases in daytime average primary RO_(x)production by 55%and O_(3)photochemical production by 42%,highlighting the importance of accurate HONO measurements when quantifying the RO_(x)budget and O_(3)photochemical production.Considering heterogeneous reactions of trace gases and radicals on aerosols,aerosol uptake of HO2 contributes 11%to RO_(x)sink,and the daytime average O_(3)photochemical production decreases by 14%.The O_(3)-NO_(x)-VOCs sensitivity shows that the O_(3)production at Xianghe during the investigation period is mainly controlled by VOCs.
