Electrocatalytic water splitting offers a promising way for hydrogen production with near-zero ***,such as molybdenum carbides(Mo_(2)C),are promising materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)but still suffer from poor intrinsic water activation ***,we developed a plasmon-induced local electric field(PILEF)strategy to solve this ***(Ag)nanoparticles decorated Mo_(2)C nanosheets(Ag/Mo_(2)C)were successfully prepared by electrostatic *** visible light excited the PILEF on Ag/Mo_(2)C remarkably reducing the activation energy by 92.7 kJ·mol^(-1)from 147.3 kJ·mol^(-1)of Mo_(2)C to 54.6 kJ·mol^(-1).As a result,the plasmonic Ag/Mo_(2)C significantly enhances~2.3-fold of the current density from 2.8 mA·cm^(-2)of Mo_(2)C to 6.5 mA·cm^(-2)at-3 V *** and reduces the overpotential by 104 mV from 403 mV of dark state to 299 mV of light state at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2),achieving better performance than reported *** research demonstrates that PILEF enhances HER activities,offering a potential strategy for boosting the intrinsic activities of catalysts.

A Method to Distinguish Twinning Variants and Second Twins by EBSD Measurements

This paper proposes a direct and simple method to identify the second twins from twinning variants by electron back scattered diffraction （EBSD）. To clarify the orientation relationship between the neighboring crystals, the misorientation calculation by MATLAB software based on the EBSD data is also used. This method is generally applicable to predict the variants occurring in the nucleation and growth of the recrystallization or phase transformation process.

Discrete wavelet transform-based fault diagnosis for driving system of pipeline detection robot arm

A real-time wavelet multi-resolution analysis (MRA)-based fault detection algorithm is proposed. The first stage detailed MRA signals extracted from the original signals were used as the criteria for fault detection. By measuring sharp variations in the detailed MRA signals, faults in the motor driving system of pipeline detection robot arm could be detected. The fault type was then identified by comparison of the three-phase MRA sharp variations. The effects of the faults were examined. The simulation results show that this algorithm is effective and robust, it is promising for fault detection in a robot's joint driving system. The method is simple, rapid and it can operate in real time.

A pump is needed in an ejector refrigeration system,which makes the system high cost and complicated and hinders its application.A pump-free double heat source ejector refrigeration system using R1234yf as working fluid is proposed in which an injector driven by another heat source replaces the liquid circulating pump,making the system more affordable,simpler and more *** effect of different operation conditions on entrainment ratios and the influence of different factors on system performance are analyzed on the basis of mass,momentum and energy conservation *** influence degree of each factor on system performance is investigated by the orthogonal test *** condenser temperature has the largest effect on system *** pressure drop in the suction chamber of gas-liquid injector has the least impact on system *** COP can reach about 0.35 under a certain working *** system can be driven by two different temperature heat sources with no electricity needed,and it is a good choice for places with abundant heat resources or lack of electricity.

Application of Optimization Technology for Ratio of Air to Fuel Combining Feedforward with Feedback in Heating Furnace

The thermal characteristics of heating furnace using gas as fuel are discussed in detail in this paper. Combining the technique of fuzzy control with calorific value of feedforward and oxygen concentration of waste gas feedback, the optimization model for ratio of air to fuel is developed and utilized in practice. According to the practical operation, the model can effectively control the oxygen concentration of waste gas, enhance the quality of product and decrease the fuel consumption.

Late Triassic bivalves associated with a hydrothermal vent system in the Yidun Island Arc (SW China) of the eastern Tethys

The Yidun Island Arc in the Three Rivers (Jinsha River, Lancang River, Nujiang River) region of southwestern China is one of the most important Kuroko-type volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits (VMS) in China. Intra-arc rifting of Yidun Island occurred during the Late Carnian-Norian when VMS deposits such as the Gacun Pb-Zn-Cu deposit were formed. A bivalve fauna was found in fine-grained tuffaceous slate and in mineralized tuffaceous siltstone containing very high contents of Pb (45.01-103.37 ppm) and Zn (135.78-300.03 ppm) of the upper Tumugou Formation in the Changtai-Gacun volcanic-sedimentary rift basin. Stratigraphically, the bivalve-bearing beds are equivalents of the Gacun Pb-Zn-Cu deposits. The diversity of this bivalve fauna is very low. It consists mainly of the thin-shelled, epibyssate suspension-feeding bivalves Pergamidia eumenea and Parapergamidia changtaiensis, the burrowing large, elongated, suspension-feeding Trigonodus keuperinus and Unionites? sp., and occasional specimens of the endobyssate suspension-feeding Trigonodus? sp. and the deep burrowing suspension-feeding Pleuromya markiamensis. Individuals of the first four taxa are so abundant that the specimens are sometimes concentrated in shell beds, probably indicating a gregarious habit. This bivalve fauna is associated with internal moulds of cylindrical, slightly conical tubes most likely produced by a worm-shaped organism. Composition, morphology, diversity, and high abundance of this fauna, chemical features of the surrounding sediment, and the tectonic setting all suggest that this bivalve fauna lived in a deep-water environment in or around a hydrothermal vent system.

Functional requirement of terminal inverted repeats for efficient ProtoRAG activity reveals the early evolution of V(D)J recombination

The discovery of ProtoRAG in amphioxus indicated that vertebrate RAG recombinases originated from an ancient transposon. However, the sequences of ProtoRAG terminal inverted repeats(TIRs) were obviously dissimilar to the consensus sequence of mouse 12/23 RSS and recombination mediated by Proto RAG or RAG made them incompatible with each other. Thus, it is difficult to determine whether or how 12/23 RSS persisted in the vertebrate RAG system that evolved from the TIRs of ancient RAG transposons. Here, we found that the activity of ProtoRAG is highly dependent on its asymmetric 5 TIR and 3 TIR, which are composed of conserved TR1 and TR5 elements and a partially conserved TRsp element of 27/31 bp to separate them. Similar to the requirements for the recombination signal sequences(RSSs) of RAG recombinase, the first CAC in TR1, the three dinucleotides in TR5 and the specific length of the partially conserved TRsp are important for the efficient recombination activity of ProtoRAG. In addition, the homologous sequences flanking the signal sequences facilitate Proto RAG-but not RAG-mediated recombination. In addition to the diverged TIRs, two differentiated functional domains in Bb RAG1 L were defined to coordinate with the divergence between TIRs and RSSs. One of these is the CTT?domain, which facilitates the specific TIR recognition of the Bb RAGL complex, and the other is NBD?, which is responsible for DNA binding and the protein stabilization of the Bb RAGL complex. Thus, our findings reveal that the functional requirement for ProtoRAG TIRs is similar to that for RSS in RAG-mediated recombination, which not only supports the common origin of ProtoRAG TIRs and RSSs from the asymmetric TIRs of ancient RAG transposons, but also reveals the development of RAG and RAG-like machineries during chordate evolution.

Uniqueness of Meromorphic Functions Whose Differential Polynomials Share One Value

In this paper, we prove a uniqueness theorem of meromorphic functions whose some nonlinear differential shares 1 IM with powers of the meromorphic functions, where the degrees of the powers are equal to those of the nonlinear differential polynomials. This result improves the corresponding one given by Zhang and Yang, and other authors.
