Spatial heterogeneity and driving mechanism of urban climbing and its impact on regional environment in varied landform types in the middle reaches of the Yellow River

Urbanization research is essential for the sustainable use of regional land resources and ecological environment *** expansion process and driving factors of urban construction land at different scales in the middle reaches of the Yellow River(MRYR)have not been comprehensively *** this study,we explored the distribution pattern of urban construction land on different slope gradients at different scales and analyzed its influencing *** main findings were as follows:(1)There has been significant expansion of urban construction land in the MRYR over the past 20 *** heterogeneity was observed in the regional urban construction land expansion process among different geomorphic regions.(2)The urban construction land in the MRYR was expanded vertically to areas with slopes of>5°,particularly in 2005–*** slope climbing of urban construction land was observed in the loess hilly-gully and rocky mountain areas.(3)In MRYR,68.45%of the counties were categorized as the slope-climbing types,including 37.38%high-slope-climbing types.(4)The regional population density and economic development level were closely associated with regional urban construction land area variability.(5)The climbing process of regional urban construction can effectively alleviate farmland encroachment and pressure on the regional ecological *** urban expansion of the metropolitan distribution areas in the Plain region(such as Xi'an,Taiyuan)had a relatively significant impact on the local carbon storage.

Homeostatic regulation of NAD(H)and NADP(H)in cells

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD^(+))/reduced NAD^(+)(NADH)and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADP^(+))/reduced NADP^(+)(NADPH)are essential metabolites involved in multiple metabolic pathways and cellular ***^(+)and NADH redox couple plays a vital role in catabolic redox reactions,while NADPH is crucial for cellular anabolism and antioxidant *** NAD(H)and NADP(H)homeostasis is crucial for normal physiological activity and is tightly regulated through various mechanisms,such as biosynthesis,consumption,recycling,and conversion between NAD(H)and NADP(H).The conversions between NAD(H)and NADP(H)are controlled by NAD kinases(NADKs)and NADP(H)phosphatases[specifically,metazoan SpoT homolog-1(MESH1)and nocturnin(NOCT)].NADKs facilitate the synthesis of NADP^(+)from NAD^(+),while MESH1 and NOCT convert NADP(H)into NAD(H).In this review,we summarize the physiological roles of NAD(H)and NADP(H)and discuss the regulatory mechanisms governing NAD(H)and NADP(H)homeostasis in three key aspects:the transcriptional and posttranslational regulation of NADKs,the role of MESH1 and NOCT in maintaining NAD(H)and NADP(H)homeostasis,and the influence of the circadian clock on NAD(H)and NADP(H)*** conclusion,NADKs,MESH1,and NOCT are integral to various cellular processes,regulating NAD(H)and NADP(H)*** of these enzymes results in various human diseases,such as cancers and metabolic ***,strategies aiming to restore NAD(H)and NADP(H)homeostasis hold promise as novel therapeutic approaches for these diseases.

Two-Stage Adaptive Memetic Algorithm with Surprisingly Popular Mechanism for Energy-Aware Distributed Hybrid Flow Shop Scheduling Problem with Sequence-Dependent Setup Time

This paper considers the impact of setup time in production scheduling and proposes energy-aware distributed hybrid flow shop scheduling problem with sequence-dependent setup time(EADHFSP-ST)that simultaneously optimizes the makespan and the energy *** develop a mixed integer linear programming model to describe this problem and present a two-stage adaptive memetic algorithm(TAMA)with a surprisingly popular ***,a hybrid initialization strategy is designed based on the two optimization objectives to ensure the convergence and diversity of ***,multiple population co-evolutionary approaches are proposed for global search to escape from traditional cross-randomization and to balance exploration and ***,considering that the memetic algorithm(MA)framework is less efficient due to the randomness in the selection of local search operators,TAMA is proposed to balance the local and global *** first stage accumulates more experience for updating the surprisingly popular algorithm(SPA)model to guide the second stage operator selection and ensures population *** second stage gets rid of local optimization and designs an elite archive to ensure population ***,five problem-specific operators are designed,and non-critical path deceleration and right-shift strategies are designed for energy ***,to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm,multiple experiments are performed on a benchmark with 45 *** experimental results show that the proposed TAMA can solve the problem effectively.

Early endoscopic management of an infected acute necrotic collection misdiagnosed as a pancreatic pseudocyst: A case report

BACKGROUND Infected acute necrotic collection(ANC)is a fatal complication of acute pancre-atitis with substantial morbidity and *** plays an exceedingly important role as the first step in invasive intervention for infected necrosis;however,there is great controversy about the optimal drainage time,and better treatment should be *** SUMMARY We report the case of a 43-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital with severe intake reduction due to early satiety 2 wk after treatment for acute pancre-atitis;conservative treatment was ineffective,and a pancreatic pseudocyst was suspected on contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT).Endoscopic ultra-sonography(EUS)suggested hyperechoic necrotic tissue within the cyst *** wall was not completely mature,and the culture of the puncture fluid was positive for A-haemolytic ***,the final diagnosis of ANC in-fection was *** necrotic collection was not walled off and contained many solid components;therefore,the patient underwent EUS-guided aspiration and *** weeks after the collection was completely encapsulated,pancreatic duct stent drainage via endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)was performed,and the patient was subsequently successfully *** repeat CT,the pancreatic cysts had almost disappeared during the 6-month fo-llow-up period after *** Early EUS-guided aspiration and lavage combined with late ERCP catheter drainage may be effective methods for intervention in infected ANCs.

Link Prediction Method Fusion with Local Structural Entropy for Directed Network

Link prediction utilizes accessible network information to complement or predict the network *** is an important prerequisite for link prediction which means links more likely occurs between two similar nodes. Existing methods utilize the similarity of nodes but neglect of network structure. However the link direction leads to a far more complex structure and contains more information useful than the undirected networks. Most classic methods are difficult to depict the distribution of the network structure with incidental direction so the similarity characteristics of the network structure itself are lost. In this respect, a new method of local structure entropy is proposed to depict the directed structural distribution characteristics, which can be used to evaluate the degree of local structural similarity of nodes and then applied to link prediction methods. Experimental results on 8 real directed networks show that this method is effective for both area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)and ranking-score measures, and improved predictive capacity of the baseline methodology.

The ever-increasing complexity of environmental pollutants urgently warrants the development of new detection *** based on the optical properties of hydrogels enabling fast and easy in situ detection are attracting increasing *** this paper,the data from 138 papers about different optical hydrogels(OHs)are extracted for statistical *** detection performance and potential of various types of OHs in different environmental pollutant detection scenarios were evaluated and compared to those obtained using the standard detection *** on this analysis,the target recognition and sensing mechanisms of two main types of OHs are reviewed and discussed:photonic crystal hydrogels(PCHs)and fluorescent hydrogels(FHs).For PCHs,the environmental stimulus response,target receptors,inverse opal structures,and molecular imprinting techniques related to PCHs are reviewed and ***,the different types of fluorophores(i.e.,compound probes,biomacromolecules,quantum dots,and luminescent microbes)of FHs are ***,the potential academic research directions to address the challenges of applying and developing OHs in environmental sensing are proposed,including the fusion of various OHs,introduction of the latest technologies in various fields to the construction of OHs,and development of multifunctional sensor arrays.

Accelerating solar driven CO_(2) reduction via sulfur-doping boosted water dissociation and proton transfer

Exploring efficient photocatalysts for solar driven CO_(2) reduction with water(H_(2)O)as a proton donor is highly imperative but remains a great challenge because the synchronous enhancement of CO_(2) activation,H_(2)O dissociation and proton transfer is hardly achieved on a ***,the sluggish H_(2)O dissociation impedes the photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction involving multiple proton–electron coupling transfer ***,a sulfur-doped BiOCl(S-BiOCl)photocatalyst with abundant oxygen vacancies(OV)is developed,which exhibits broadband-light harvesting across solar spectrum and distinct photothermal effect due to *** photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction with H_(2)O in a gas–solid system,the high CO yield of 49.76μmol·g_(cat)^(-1)·h^(-1) with 100%selectivity is achieved over the S-BiOCl catalyst under a simulated *** H_(2)O-assisted CO_(2) reduction reaction on S-BiOCl catalyst is triggered by photocatalysis and the photothermal heating further enhances the reaction *** kinetic isotope experiments indicate that the sluggish H_(2)O dissociation affects the whole photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction *** presence of oxygen vacancies promotes the adsorption and activation of H_(2)O and CO_(2),and the doped S sites play a crucial role in boosting H_(2)O dissociation and accelerating the dynamic migration of hydrogen *** a result,the ingenious integration of OV defects,S sites and photothermal effect in S-BiOCl catalyst conjointly contributes to the significant improvement in photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction performance.

Pure quantum gradient descent algorithm and full quantum variational eigensolver

Optimization problems are prevalent in various fields,and the gradient-based gradient descent algorithm is a widely adopted optimization ***,in classical computing,computing the numerical gradient for a function with variables necessitates at least d+1 function evaluations,resulting in a computational complexity of O(d).As the number of variables increases,the classical gradient estimation methods require substantial resources,ultimately surpassing the capabilities of classical ***,leveraging the principles of superposition and entanglement in quantum mechanics,quantum computers can achieve genuine parallel computing,leading to exponential acceleration over classical algorithms in some *** this paper,we propose a novel quantum-based gradient calculation method that requires only a single oracle calculation to obtain the numerical gradient result for a multivariate *** complexity of this algorithm is just O(1).Building upon this approach,we successfully implemented the quantum gradient descent algorithm and applied it to the variational quantum eigensolver(VQE),creating a pure quantum variational optimization *** with classical gradient-based optimization algorithm,this quantum optimization algorithm has remarkable complexity advantages,providing an efficient solution to optimization *** proposed quantum-based method shows promise in enhancing the performance of optimization algorithms,highlighting the potential of quantum computing in this field.

In the wake of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence(AI), we stand on the brink of a transformative leap in data systems. The imminent fusion of AI and DB(AI×DB) promises a new generation of data systems, which will relieve the burden on end-users across all industry sectors by featuring AI-enhanced functionalities, such as personalized and automated in-database AI-powered analytics, and selfdriving capabilities for improved system performance. In this paper, we explore the evolution of data systems with a focus on deepening the fusion of AI and DB. We present NeurDB, an AI-powered autonomous data system designed to fully embrace AI design in each major system component and provide in-database AI-powered analytics. We outline the conceptual and architectural overview of NeurDB, discuss its design choices and key components, and report its current development and future plan.

A dynamic exploratory hybrid modelling framework for simulating complex and uncertain system

Complex disaster systems involve various components and mechanisms that could interact in complex ways and change over time,leading to significant deep *** to deep uncertainty,decision-makers have severe inadequacy of knowledge and often encounter unpredictable surprises that may emerge in the future,thus making it difficult to specify appropriate models and parameters to describe the system of *** this paper,we propose a dynamic exploratory hybrid modeling framework that fits data,models,and computational ex-periments together to simulate complex systems with deep *** the framework,one needs to develop multiple plausible models from a hybrid modeling perspective and perform enormous computational experi-ments to explore the diversity of future ***-time data is then incorporated into diverse forecasts to dynamically adjust the simulation *** ultimately enables an ongoing modeling and analysis process in which deep uncertainty would be gradually *** approach has been applied to a human-involved car-following system simulation under complex traffic *** results show that the proposed approach can improve the prediction accuracy while enhancing the sensitivity of the simulation system to uncertain changes in the system of interest.
