Seabed structures and foundations related to deep-sea resource development:A review based on design and research

The deep‐sea ground contains a huge amount of energy and mineral resources,for example,oil,gas,and *** infrastructures such as floating structures,seabed structures,and foundations have been developed to exploit these *** seabed structures and foundations can be mainly classified into three types:subsea production structures,offshore pipelines,and *** study reviewed the development,installation,and operation of these infrastructures,including their structures,design,installation,marine environment loads,and *** this basis,the research gaps and further research directions were explored through this literature ***,different floating structures were briefly analyzed and reviewed to introduce the design requirements of the seabed structures and ***,the subsea production structures,including subsea manifolds and their foundations,were reviewed and ***,the basic characteristics and design methods of deep‐sea pipelines,including subsea pipelines and risers,were analyzed and ***,the installation and bearing capacity of deep‐sea subsea anchors and seabed trench influence on the anchor were *** the review,it was found that marine environment conditions are the key inputs for any offshore structure *** fabrication,installation,and operation of infrastructures should carefully consider the marine loads and geological *** structures have their own mechanical *** fatigue and stability of pipelines mainly depend on the soil‐structure *** selection should consider soil types and possible trench *** focuses and research gaps can provide a helpful guide on further research,installation,and operation of deep‐sea structures and foundations.

Vision-based docking system for an aromatic-hydrocarbon-inspired reconfigurable robot

Aromatic hydrocarbons generally refer to compounds containing benzene *** types of isomers can be formed by replacing hydrogen atoms on the benzene *** this paper,an aromatic-hydrocarbon-inspired modular robot(AHIMR)is *** robot can be reassembled into different configurations suitable for various task requirements.A vision-based docking system is designed for the *** system primarily consists of two stages:a remote guidance stage and a precise docking *** the remote guidance stage,an object module is identified using an illumination adaptive target recognition algorithm,and then the active module moves to the docking area through communication with *** the precise docking stage,the active module calculates the relative pose with the object module using a perspective-n-point method and dynamically adjusts its posture to *** this process,a Kalman filter is used to reduce target occlusion and jitter *** addition,the docking system feasibility is verified via several simulation *** module docking accuracy is controlled within 0.01 m,which meets the reconfiguration task requirements of the *** the AHIMR submodule docking experiment,the active module accurately moves to the expected position with a docking success rate of 95%.

Nonlinear Characteristic Analysis of Gas-Interconnected Quasi-Zero Stiffness Pneumatic Suspension System:A Theoretical and Experimental Study

Because of significantly changed load and complex and variable driving road conditions of commercial vehicles,pneumatic suspension with lower natural frequencies is widely used in commercial vehicle suspension *** ever,traditional pneumatic suspension system is hardly to respond the greatly changed load of commercial vehicles To address this issue,a new Gas-Interconnected Quasi-Zero Stiffness Pneumatic Suspension(GIQZSPS)is presented in this paper to improve the vibration isolation performance of commercial vehicle suspension systems under frequent load *** new structure adds negative stiffness air chambers on traditional pneumatic suspension to reduce the natural frequency of the *** can adapt to different loads and road conditions by adjusting the solenoid valves between the negative stiffness air ***,a nonlinear mechanical model including the dimensionless stiffness characteristic and interconnected pipeline model is derived for GIQZSPS *** the nonlinear mechanical model of GIQZSPS system,the force transmissibility rate is chosen as the evaluation index to analyze ***,a testing bench simulating 1/4 GIQZSPS system is designed,and the testing analysis of the model validation and isolating performance is carried *** results show that compared to traditional pneumatic suspension,the GIQZSPS designed in the article has a lower natural *** the system can achieve better vibration isolation performance under different load states by switching the solenoid valves between air chambers.

Auto-Detection Method Using Convolution Neural Network for Bottom-Simulating Reflectors

In studies on gas hydrate,bottom-simulating reflectors(BSR)are used to determine the potential hydrate-bearing sedimentary ***,BSR detection is performed manually by experienced ***,a method for implementing an auto-matic BSR detection process should be *** this study,we develop a novel architecture for BSR characterization using the convolutional neural network(CNN)*** propose the use of Stokes’transform(ST)to obtain a time-frequency spectrum for the input of *** fully uses the frequency content of the seismic data,and a part of the 3D seismic data collected from the Blake Ridge is utilized to train the *** seismic records with variable signal-to-noise ratios(SNR),as well as Blake Ridge seismic data,were used to validate the detection effect of the *** show that the CNN trained by this method exhibits excellent performance in noise-resistant testing and achieves an accuracy of more than 89% in field seismic data detection.

Similar to Nomizu-Pinkall's geometric characterization of the Cayley surface and Hu-Li-zhang's characterization of the Cayley hypersurface,how can one characterize the generalized Cayley hypersurfaces?In this paper,by the affineα-connection of statistical manifolds,we study affine hypersurfaces with parallel cubic form relative to the affineα-*** the main results,we complete the classification of such hypersurfaces if its affine metric is either definite,or Lorentzian withα≠-***,we give a new characterization of the generalized Cayley hypersurfaces to answer the question.

Microwave irradiation-induced alterations in physicochemical properties and methane adsorption capability of coals:An experimental study using carbon molecular sieve

In order to comprehend the applicability of microwave irradiation for recovering coalbed methane,it is necessary to evaluate the microwave irradiation-induced alterations in coals with varying levels of *** this work,the carbon molecular sieve combined with KMnO_(4)oxidation was selected to fabricate carbon molecular sieve with diverse oxidation degrees,which can serve as model substances toward ***,the microwave irradiation dependences of pores,functional groups,and highpressure methane adsorption characteristics of model substances were *** results indicated that microwave irradiation causes rearrangement of oxygen-containing functional groups,which could block the micropores with a size of 0.40-0.60 nm in carbon molecular sieve;meanwhile,naphthalene and phenanthrene generated by macro-molecular structure pyrolysis due to microwave irradiation could block the micropores with a size of 0.70-0.90 *** alterations in micropore structure weaken the saturated methane adsorption capacity of oxidized carbon molecular sieve by 2.91%-23.28%,suggesting that microwave irradiation could promote methane ***,the increased mesopores found for oxidized carbon molecular sieve after microwave irradiation could benefit CH4 *** summary,the oxidized carbon molecular sieve can act as model substances toward coals with different ***,microwave irradiation is a promising technology to enhance coalbed methane recovery.

Green hydrogen is urgently required for sustainable development of human beings and rational construction of heterostructures holds great promising for photocatalytic hydrogen ***,2D/2D WSe2/ZnIn2S4heterostructures with strong hetero-interface interaction and abundant contact were constructed via an impregnation-annealing *** charge transfer from ZnIn2S4to WSe2was evidenced by transient absorption spectroscopy in crafted heterostructures owing to the tight and2D face-to-face *** a result,the prepared WSe2/ZnIn2S4heterostructures exhibited boosted photocatalytic performance and a highest hydrogen evolution rate of 3.377 mmol/（g h） was achieved with an apparent quantum yield of 45.7% at 420 *** work not only provides new strategies to achieve efficient 2D/2D heterostructures but also paves the way for the development of green hydrogen in the future.

Iron single-atom/clusters catalysts derived from iron-rich Enteromorpha after urea-saturation for Fenton-like reaction

Fabrication of single atom catalysts(SACs)by a green and gentle method is important for their practical Fenton-like *** this work,a high effective iron-based catalyst was prepared from the iron-rich Enteromorpha for NPX degradation via peroxymonosulfate(PMS).Both Fe-SACs and iron-clusters was fabricated from the intrinsic iron element in Enteromorpha after the urea *** Fe-SACs/clusters can achieve 100%of NPX oxidation within 20 min with the k_(obs)of 0.282 min^(-1).Quenching tests indicated that the radical pathways were not dominated in the catalytic systems,and strong electron transfer process can be induced in the Fe-SACs/clusters+PMS system by using the NPX as electron donor and FeSACs/clusters/PMS^*complexes as electron *** result was consistent with the phenomenon observed in the galvanic oxidation *** addition,the Fe-SACs/clusters was deposited onto the ceramic membrane(CM)by the spraying-crosslinking process to form a Fe-SACs/clusters@CM,which showed an effective and continuous NPX degradation in a heterogeneous PMS system.

A hybrid WUDT-NAFnet for simultaneous source data deblending

Simultaneous source technology,which reduces seismic survey time and improves the quality of seismic data by firing more than one source with a narrow time interval,is compromised by the massive blended ***,deblending algorithms have been developed to separate this ***,deep learning(DL)has been proved its great potential in suppressing the *** most popular DL method employs neural network as a filter to attenuate the blended noise in an iterative estimation and subtraction framework(IESF).However,there are still amplitude distortion and blended noise residual problems,especially when dealing with weak signal submerged in strong *** address these problems,we propose a hybrid WUDT-NAFnet,which contains two *** first network is a wavelet based U-shape deblending transformer network(WUDTnet),incorporated into IESF as a robust regularization term to iteratively separate the blended *** second network is a nonlinear activate free network(NAFnet)designed to recover the event amplitude and further suppress the weak noise residual in *** the hybrid network,the blended noise can be separated purposefully and *** using synthetic and field seismic data demonstrate that the WUDTNAFnet outperforms traditional curvelet transform(CT)based method and the deblending transformer(DT)model in terms of ***,for field applications,the data augmentation method of bicubic interpolation is applied to mitigate the feature difference between synthetic and field ***,the trained network exhibits strong signal preservation ability in numerical field example without requiring additional training.

Exploring multiple phases and first-order phase transitions in Kármán Vortex Street

Kármán Vortex Street, a fascinating phenomenon of fluid dynamics, has intrigued the scientific community for a long time. Many researchers have dedicated their efforts to unraveling the essence of this intriguing flow pattern. Here, we apply the lattice Boltzmann method with curved boundary conditions to simulate flows around a circular cylinder and study the emergence of Kármán Vortex Street using the eigen microstate approach, which can identify phase transition and its order-parameter. At low Reynolds number, there is only one dominant eigen microstate W1of laminar flow. At Rec1= 53.6, there is a phase transition with the emergence of an eigen microstate pair W2,3of pressure and velocity fields. Further at Rec2= 56, there is another phase transition with the emergence of two eigen microstate pairs W4,5and W6,7. Using the renormalization group theory of eigen microstate,both phase transitions are determined to be first-order. The two-dimensional energy spectrum of eigen microstate for W1, W2,3after Rec1, W4-7after Rec2exhibit-5/3 power-law behavior of Kolnogorov's K41 theory. These results reveal the complexity and provide an analysis of the Kármán Vortex Street from the perspective of phase transitions.
