Binary polyantimony clusters,namely[Cu_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4–) and [Ag_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4–),containing coinage metals,were successfully synthesized and characterized,in which two homoatomic Sb73–subunits are bridged by two coinage metals in η^(4):η^(1) and η^(1):η^(1) coordination modes,***[M_(2)Sb_(14)]^(4-),two bridging Cu ions and two Sb atoms form a planar rhombic unit,which was revealed to have antiaromatic properties by theoretical *** electron structure and bonding analysis confirmed the presence of delocalized bonds in the rhombic unit and the metallophilic interaction between two formal M^(+) ions.

Lithium sulfide(Li_(2)S)as a cathode material for lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries,one of the most promising advanced batteries in the future,has received tremendous attention in the past ***,developing the practical Li_(2)S cathode confronts challenges of low conductivity for Li-ions and electrons,high sensitivity to environmental moisture,big overpotential barrier to electrochemical activation,and poor cyclability due to the shuttle effect of intermediate *** article herein reports a simple and effective strategy for making Li_(2)S@Li_(2)S_(2)@Li_(2)S_(6) double-shelled microparticles,which can significantly mitigate these *** are synthesized by dissolving Li2S together with S in dimethoxyethane,then drying off the solvent,and finally calcining the collected *** with pure Li_(2)S,such a double-shell material presents a 26.7% improvement in cycling capacity,0.5 V lower in activation overpotential,and prolonged tolerance in the ambient *** density functional theory calculation shows that the performance enhancement lies in the higher stability of Li2S6in contact with moisture and some autocatalytic effect of Li_(2)S_(2)@Li_(2)S_(6).Such a double-shell structure becomes a universal performanceenhancing approach when being combined with other means,such as cathodes composited with catalytic MoS_(2),separators modified with selenium-doped sulfurized-polyacrylonitrile/montmorillonite,electrolytes containing fluorenone additive,and Li anodes coated with a layer of Li_(3)*** corresponding capacity retention shows up to 80%improvement compared with pure Li_(2)S.

Oxidized cholesterol (OXC) is a harmful dietary substance. Although the consumption of OXC has been associated with colonic inflammation， related underlying mechanisms are still limited. We evaluated the influence of dietary OXC on gut health and ecology by applying the murine model. Results showed that the thickness of the mucus layer was significantly reduced in healthy mice treated with OXC. Short-term intake of OXC did not influence the expression of pro-inflammatory factors in healthy mice but it induced the decrease of Muc2 expression in the proximal colon， accompanied by an increase in the abundance of two mucus-degrading bacteria， namely A. muciniphila and B. acidifaciens. Consistently， oral exposure of OXC promoted mucus barrier erosion in DSS-induced colitis mice and facilitated bacteria infiltration in the colon. The adverse effect of OXC on mucus layer disappeared in antibiotics-treated healthy mice， suggesting that the damaging effect of OXC on the gut mucus layer was not direct and instead was mediated by causing microbiota dysbiosis. Finally， the impact of OXC on the mucus layer and colitis was partly alleviated by green tea catechins. These studies demonstrated that the OXC-induced mucus barrier damage was mainly induced by the dysregulation of gut microbiota at least in this mouse model.

The carbon dioxide （CO2） reduction process involves complex protonation, making the resulting product often unpredictable. To achieve the desired product, it is crucial to manipulate the reaction steps. Herein, we build the metal atom pair sites for selective CO2photoreduction into methane. As a prototype, Ni atom pair sites loaded on the Mo S2nanosheets were synthesized and verified by highresolution transmission electron microscopy （HRTEM）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） and X-rayabsorption near edge structure spectra （XANES）. In-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） monitors the*CHO group, a crucial intermediate in CH4production,during CO2photoreduction on the Ni-Mo S2nanosheets,whereas this monitoring is not observed for the Mo S2nanosheets. Also, theoretical calculations disclose that over the Ni-Mo S2nanosheet slab, the formation energy of*CHO intermediates is determined to be lower （0.585 e V） than the desorption energy of*CO intermediates for CO production（0.64 e V）, implying the higher selectivity of CH4production. Accordingly, the Ni-Mo S2nanosheets demonstrate a methane formation rate of 27.21μmol·g-1·h-1, coupled with an impressive electron selectivity of 94.2%.

The synthetic Floquet lattice,generated by multiple strong drives with mutually incommensurate frequencies,provides a powerful platform for quantum simulation of topological *** this study,we propose a 4-band tight-binding model of the Chern insulator with a Chern number𝐶=±2 by coupling two layers of the half Bernevig–Hughes–Zhang lattice and subsequently mapping it onto the Floquet lattice to simulate its topological *** determine the Chern number of our Floquet-version model,we extend the energy pumping method proposed by Martin et al.[2017 ***.X 7041008]and the topological oscillation method introduced by Boyers et al.[2020 ***.125160505],followed by numerical simulations for both *** simulation results demonstrate the successful extraction of the Chern number using either of these methods,providing an excellent prediction of the phase diagram that closely aligns with the theoretical one derived from the original bilayer half Bernevig–Hughes–Zhang ***,we briefly discuss a potential experimental implementation for our *** work demonstrates significant potential for simulating complex topological matter using quantum computing platforms,thereby paving the way for constructing a more universal simulator for non-interacting topological quantum states and advancing our understanding of these intriguing phenomena.

To validate the design rationality of the power coupler for the RFQ cavity and minimize cavity contamination, we designed a low-loss offline conditioning cavity and conducted high-power testing. This offline cavity features two coupling ports and two tuners, operating at a frequency of 162.5MHz\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$${162.5}\,\textrm{MHz}$$\end{document} with a tuning range of 3.2MHz\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$${3.2}\,\textrm{MHz}$$\end{document}. Adjusting the installation angle of the coupling ring and the insertion depth of the tuner helps minimize cavity losses. Mutations in mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)are maternally inherited and have the potential to cause severe *** replacement therapies,including spindle,polar body,and pronuclear transfers,are promising strategies for preventing the hereditary transmission of mtDNA *** pronuclear transfer has been used to generate mitochondrial replacement mouse models and human embryos,its application in non-human primates has not been previously *** this study,we successfully generated four healthy cynomolgus monkeys(Macaca fascicularis)via female pronuclear *** individuals all survived for more than two years and exhibited minimal mtDNA carryover(3.8%–6.7%),as well as relatively stable mtDNA heteroplasmy dynamics during *** successful establishment of this nonhuman primate model highlights the considerable potential of pronuclear transfer in reducing the risk of inherited mtDNA diseases and provides a valuable preclinical research model for advancing mitochondrial replacement therapies in humans.

This paper presents a superhydrophobic melamine (ME) sponge (ME-g-PLMA) prepared via high-energy radiation-induced in situ covalent grafting of long-alkyl-chain dodecyl methacrylate (LMA) onto an ME sponge for efficient oil-water separation. The obtained ME-g-PLMA sponge had an excellent pore structure with superhydrophobic (water contact angle of 154 degrees\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$154\circ$$\end{document}) and superoleophilic properties. It can absorb various types of oils up to 66-168 times its mass. The ME-g-PLMA sponge can continuously separate oil slicks in water by connecting a pump or separating oil underwater with a gravity-driven device. In addition, it maintained its highly hydrophobic properties even after long-term immersion in different corrosive solutions and repeated oil adsorption. The modified ME-g-PLMA sponge exhibited excellent separation properties and potential for oil spill cleanup.
