Effects of water tables and nitrogen application on soil bacterial community diversity, network structure, and function in an alpine wetland, China

Nitrogen deposition and water tables are important factors to control soil microbial community ***,the specific effects and mechanisms of nitrogen deposition and water tables coupling on bacterial diversity,abundance,and community structure in arid alpine wetlands remain *** nitrogen deposition(0,10,and 20 kg N/(hm^(2)•a))experiments were conducted in the Bayinbulak alpine wetland with different water tables(perennial flooding,seasonal waterlogging,and perennial drying).The 16S rRNA(ribosomal ribonucleic acid)gene sequencing technology was employed to analyze the changes in bacterial community diversity,network structure,and function in the *** indicated that bacterial diversity was the highest under seasonal waterlogging ***,nitrogen deposition only affected the bacterial Chao1 and beta diversity indices under seasonal waterlogging *** abundance of bacterial communities under different water tables showed significant differences at the phylum and genus *** dominant phylum,Proteobacteria,was sensitive to soil moisture and its abundance decreased with decreasing water *** nitrogen deposition led to changes in bacterial abundance,such changes were small compared with the effects of water *** deposition with 10 kg N/(hm^(2)•a)decreased bacterial edge number,average path length,and ***,perennial flooding and drying conditions could simply resist environmental changes caused by 20 kg N/(hm^(2)•a)nitrogen deposition and their network structure remain *** sulfur cycle function was dominant under perennial flooding condition,and carbon and nitrogen cycle functions were dominant under seasonal waterlogging and perennial drying *** application increased the potential function of part of nitrogen cycle and decreased the potential function of sulfur cycle in bacterial *** summary,composition of bacterial community in the arid alpine wetland was

As a new source of natural fibers,the Bombax ceiba tree can provide thin,light,extremely soft and warm fiber material for the textile *** fibers are an ideal model system for studying cell growth and differentiation,but the molecular mechanisms that regulate fiber initiation are not fully *** ***,we found that fiber cells differentiate from the epidermis of the inner ovary *** initiated cell then divides into a cluster of fiber cells that eventually develop into mature fibers,a process very different from the classical fiber initiation process of *** used high-throughput single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)to examine the special characteristics of fiber initiation in ***.A total of 15567 high-quality cells were identified from the inner wall of the *** ovary,and 347 potential marker genes for fiber initiation cell types were *** major cell types,initiated fiber cells and epidermal cells,were identified and verified by RNA in situ hybridization.A developmental trajectory analysis was used to reconstruct the process of fiber cell differentiation in *** analysis of scRNAseq data from *** and cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)confirmed that the additional cell division process in *** is a novel species-specific mechanismfor fiber cell *** genes and key regulators that may contribute to fiber cell differentiation and division in *** were *** work reveals gene expression signatures during *** fiber initiation at a single-cell resolution,providing a new strategy and viewpoint for investigation of natural fiber cell differentiation and development.

Background and Aims:Liver stiffness(LS)measured by shear wave elastography(SWE)is often influenced by hepat-ic *** aim was to develop a dual-task convo-lutional neural network(DtCNN)model for the simultaneous staging of liver fibrosis and inflammation activity using ***:A total of 532 patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)were included to develop and validate the DtCNN *** additional 180 consecutive patients between De-cember 2019 and April 2021 were prospectively included for further *** patients underwent 2D-SWE examina-tion and serum biomarker assessment.A DtCNN model con-taining two pathways for the staging of fibrosis and inflam-mation was used to improve the classification of significant fibrosis(≥F2),advanced fibrosis(≥F3)as well as cirrhosis(F4).Results:Both fibrosis and inflammation affected LS measurements by *** proposed DtCNN performed the best among all the classification models for fibrosis stage[significant fibrosis AUC=0.89(95%CI:0.87-0.92),ad-vanced fibrosis AUC=0.87(95%CI:0.84-0.90),liver cirrho-sis AUC=0.85(95%CI:0.81-0.89)].The DtCNN-based pre-diction of inflammation activity achieved AUCs of 0.82(95%CI:0.78-0.86)for grade≥A1,0.88(95%CI:0.85-0.90)grade≥A2 and 0.78(95%CI:0.75-0.81)for grade≥A3,which were significantly higher than the AUCs of the single-task *** findings were observed in the prospec-tive ***:The proposed DtCNN improved di-agnostic performance compared with existing fibrosis staging models by including inflammation in the model,which sup-ports its potential clinical application.

Transcriptome and carotenoid profiling of different varieties of Coffea arabica provides insights into fruit color formation

Comparison of Hematological Parameters and Critical Value Analysis in the Prevention and Control of Thalassaemia in Hainan Li and Han Nationalities

Objective: To compare the distribution of “mean corpuscular hemoglobin”-MCV, “mean corpuscular volume”-MCH, “hemoglobin”-HGB, “hemoglobin A”-HbA and “hemoglobin A2”-HbA2 in α and β thalassemia hematology screening between Li and Han nationality, and analyze the best diagnostic cut-off value. Methods: Select 7816 middle school students from Li nationality area as the research object, collect peripheral blood for blood cell analysis, hemoglobin electrophoresis and thalassaemia gene detection, and compare the difference in hematological parameters of common thalassemia genotype between Li and Han nationalities. Taking the genetic test results as the gold standard, construct the receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC curve) of relevant hematology parameters, calculate the Youden index and take its maximum diagnostic cut-off point as the best critical value. Results: Comparison of hematological parameters of common thalassemia genotypes showed that the average value of MCH and MCV of -α3.7/-α
