This comprehensive review elucidates the complex interplay between gut microbiota and constipation in Parkinson’s disease(PD),a prevalent non-motor symptom contributing significantly to patients’morbidity.A marked alteration in the gut microbiota,predominantly an increase in the abundance of Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes,is observed in PD-related *** treatments,although safe,have failed to effectively alleviate symptoms,thereby necessitating the development of novel therapeutic *** interventions such as prebiotics,probiotics,and fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)hold therapeutic *** prebiotics improve bowel movements,probiotics are effective in enhancing stool consistency and alleviating abdominal *** shows potential for significantly alleviating constipation symptoms by restoring gut microbiota balance in patients with *** promising developments,the causal relationship between changes in gut microbiota and PD-related constipation remains elusive,highlighting the need for further research in this expanding field.

The comprehensive numerical simulation of the tower shadow effect on floating offshore wind turbines(FOWTs),an area less explored compared to fixed-bottom wind turbines,is presented in this *** atmospheric boundary layer inflow and the joint north sea wave project random wave are used as the operating conditions for *** combination of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)software simulator for wind farm applications and turbine simulation tool OpenFAST is used to implement fluid-structure interaction *** output power,platform motion,wake velocity deficit and vortex structures are analyzed to reveal the influence of the tower shadow effect on the *** results indicate that due to the fluctuation caused by the turbulent wind and the floating platform motion,the tower shadow effect of FOWT is less significant for its periodic power decay than that of fixed-bottom wind *** according to the velocity deficit analysis,the influence area of the tower shadow effect on the wake is mainly in the near wake region.

Metal nanoaggregates can simultaneously enhance the activity and stability of Fe-N-C catalysts in proton-exchange-membrane fuel cells（PEMFC）.Previous studies on the relevant mechanism have focused on the direct interaction between FeN4active sites and metal ***,the role of carbon support that hosts metal nanoaggregates and active sites has been ***,a Fe-N-C catalyst encapsulating inactive gold nanoparticles is prepared as a model catalyst to investigate the electronic tuning of Au nanoparticles（NPs） towards the carbon *** NPs donate electrons to carbon support,making it rich in π electrons,which reduces the work function and regulates the electronic configuration of the FeN4sites for an enhanced ORR ***,the electron-rich carbon support can mitigate the electron depletion of FeN4sites caused by carbon support oxidation,thereby preserving its high *** yield and accumulation of H2O2are thus alleviated,which delays the oxidation of the catalyst and benefits the *** to the electron-rich carbon support,the composite catalyst achieves a top-level peak power density of 0.74 W/cm2in a 1.5 bar H2-air PEMFC,as well as the improved *** work elucidates the key role of carbon support in the performance enhancement of the FeN-C/metal nanoaggregate composite catalysts for fuel cell application.

Electrochemical corrosion of AZ31 magnesium alloy in the NH_(4)^(+)-SO_(4)2−-Cl−environment is *** of NH_(4)^(+)overshadows that of Cl−as the(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4) concentration is 0.005 M or higher,yielding an evolution from localized corrosion to uniform *** effect of NH_(4)^(+)can be attributed to that(i)NH_(4)^(+)dissolves the inner MgO and hinders the precipitation of Mg(OH)_(2) and(ii)the buffering ability of NH_(4)^(+)provides H+,enhances the hydrogen evolution,and expedites the corrosion *** latter is demonstrated as the dominant factor with the results in unbuffered and buffered *** severe corrosion and hydrogen process in NH_(4)^(+)-containing solution results in a high Hads coverage and yields an inductive loop within the low ***,SO_(4)^(2−)is helpful in generating cracked but partially protective corrosion products,while Cl−could broaden the corrosion area beneath the corrosion product.

The notorious growth of zinc dendrite and the water-induced corrosion of zinc metal anodes（ZMAs）restrict the practical development of aqueous zinc ion batteries（AZIBs）.In this work,a zinc metallized,imide-pillared covalent organic framework（ZPC） protective film has been engineered as a stable Zn2+ion-conducting interphase to modulate interfacial kinetics and suppress side reactions for *** to bare Zn,ZPC@Zn exhibits a higher Zn2+ionic conductivity,a larger Zn2+transference number,a lower electronic conductivity,a smaller desolvation activation energy and correspondingly a significant suppression of corrosion,hydrogen evolution and Zn ***,the ZPC@Zn||ZPC@Zn symmetric cell obtains a cycling lifespan over 3000 h under 5 mA cm-2for 1 mA h *** ZPC@Zn||NH4V4O10coin-type full battery delivers a specific capacity of 195.8 mA h g-1with a retention rate of78.5% at 2 A g-1after 1100 cycles,and the ZPC@Zn||NH4V4O10pouch full cell shows a retention of70.1% in reversible capacity at 3 A g-1after 1100 *** present incorporation of imide-linked covalent organic frameworks in the surface modification of ZMAs will offer fresh perspectives in the search for ideal protective films for the practicality of AZIBs.

Fear extinction is a biological process in which learned fear behavior diminishes without anticipated reinforcement,allowing the organism to re-adapt to ever-changing *** on the behavioral hypothesis that extinction is new learning and forms an extinction memory,this new memory is more readily forgettable than the original fear *** brain’s cellular and synaptic traces underpinning this inherently fragile yet reinforceable extinction memory remain *** questions are about the whereabouts of the engram neurons that emerged during extinction learning and how they constitute a dynamically evolving functional construct that works in concert to store and express the extinction *** this review,we discuss recent advances in the engram circuits and their neural connectivity plasticity for fear extinction,aiming to establish a conceptual framework for understanding the dynamic competition between fear and extinction memories in adaptive control of conditioned fear responses.

In this paper,we analyze the spectral energy distributions of 17 powerful(with a spin-down luminosity greater than10~(35)erg s~(-1))young(with an age less than 15,000 yr)pulsar wind nebulae(PWNe)using a simple timein-dependent one-zone emission *** aim is to investigate correlations between model parameters and the ages of the corresponding PWNe,thereby revealing the evolution of high-energy electron distributions within *** findings are as follows:(1)The electron distributions in PWNe can be characterized by a double power-law with a super-exponential cutoff.(2)As PWNe evolve,the high-energy end of the electron distribution spectrum becomes harder with the index decreasing from approximately 3.5 to 2.5,while the low-energy end spectrum index remains constant near 1.5.(3)There is no apparent correlation between the break energy or cutoff energy and the age of PWNe.(4)The average magnetic field within PWNe decreases with age,leading to a positive correlation between the energy loss timescale of electrons at the break energy or the high-energy cutoff and the age of the PWN.(5)The total electron energy within PWNe remains constant near 2×10~(48)erg,while the total magnetic energy decreases with age.

Alkane-based biodiesel is considered the next generation of biodiesel owing to its potential environmental benefits and the fact that it exhibits much higher specific caloric values than traditional ***,the formidable obstacle impeding the commercialization of this cutting-edge fuel alternative lies in the cost associated with its *** this study,an engineered strain Escherichia coli(***)showcasing harmonized coexpression of a lipase(from Thermomyces lanuginosus lipase,TLL)and a fatty acid photodecarboxylase(from Chlorella variabilis,CvFAP)was first constructed to transform triglycerides into *** potential of *** BL21(DE3)/pRSFDuet-1-TLL-CvFAP for alkane synthesis was evaluated with tripalmitin as a model substrate under various process *** a comprehensive examination of the reaction parameters,the scope of the biotransformation was expanded to‘real’substrates(vegetable oils).The results showed that bioderived oils can be transformed into alkanes with high yields(0.80-10.20 mmol·L^(-1))under mild conditions(35℃,pH 8.0,and 36 h)and blue light *** selected processes were performed on an increased lab scale(up to 100 ml)with up to 24.77 mmol·L^(-1) tripalmitin,leading to a yield of 18.89 mmol·L^(-1) *** the employment of a method for efficiently producing alkanes under mild conditions and a simple procedure to isolate alkanes from the reaction system,the utilization of sustainable biomass as a fundamental feedstock emerges as the primary solution to lower the cost of alkane-based ***,this study proposes a readily implementable and highly effective approach for alkane-based biodiesel production.

The applications of nanoparticles suffer from their extremely small size and intrinsic trend of *** nanoparticles to form micro-sized nanoaggregates(MNAs)with increased size,ordered structure,as well as controllable size,shape,and morphology is a crucial step in various fields of science and technology to maintain the unique characteristics of nanoparticles while obtaining greatly enhanced or new performance at the *** structure of MNAs prominently affects their functionality,which is determined by the arrangement of nanoparticles and the interaction between primary *** methods have been proposed to prepare the MNAs,in which spray-drying technology stands out considering the feasibility,scalability for industry,cost,and *** assembly of nanoparticles through spray-drying under tunable process parameters yields diverse physical properties and structural arrangements of nanoparticles of the MNAs,they therefore exhibit enormous potential in a wide range of application *** review presents the construction and applications of spray-dried *** factors that influence the size,morphology,and structure of the MNAs are discussed in *** addition,the outstanding application performance resulting from the tightly packed nanoparticles in regular-shaped MNAs obtained by the spray-drying process is illustrated.
