As a highly invasive carcinoma,esophageal cancer(EC)was the eighth most prevalent malignancy and the sixth leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide in *** squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is the major histological subtype of EC,and its incidence and mortality rates are decreasing *** to the lack of specific early symptoms,ESCC patients are usually diagnosed with advanced-stage disease with a poor prognosis,and the incidence and mortality rates are still high in many countries,especially in ***,enormous challenges still exist in the management of ESCC,and novel strategies are urgently needed to further decrease the incidence and mortality rates of *** the key molecular mechanisms underlying ESCC pathogenesis have not been fully elucidated,certain promising biomarkers are being investigated to facilitate clinical *** the advent and advancement of highthroughput technologies,such as genomics,proteomics and metabolomics,valuable biomarkers with high sensitivity,specificity and stability could be identified for ***,we aimed to determine the epidemiological features of ESCC in different regions of the world,especially in China,and focused on novel molecular biomarkers associated with ESCC screening,early diagnosis and prognosis prediction.

A remote-control tether-less isolation tool is a mechanical device that is normally used in pipelines to block the flow at a given position by transforming a blocking module. In this study, the interactions between the fluid and the plug module of the isolation tool were investigated. Simulations of the plug process and particle image velocimetry measurements were performed to study the flow characteristics. Numerical solutions for the continuity, momentum, and energy equations were obtained by using commercial software based on finite-volume techniques. Box–Behnken design was applied, and response surface methodology（RSM）-based CFD simulation analysis was conducted. The dynamic model in the plug process was built by RSM and used to evaluate the influences of the main mechanical parameters on the pressure during the plug process. The diameter of the isolation tool and the diameter of the plug module have strong influences on the process, and the length of the isolation tool has only a little influence on the plug process.

The full-parameter geometry optimization of cationic （ S ） - BINAP - Ru （ Ⅱ ） halide complex was performed by DFT method using B3LYP, PW91 and PBE potentials with several basis sets. PW91 with 3-21G / SDD basis sets is found to be the most suitable method with consideration of both precision and efficiency. The dihedral angles （ θ ） of the binaphthyl or biphenyl with different phosphorus ligand - Ru （ Ⅱ ） halide complexes were found changing from 59.9 to 79.3 degree, while the natural bite angle （ βn ） of those complexes only changes from 87.4 to 90.3 degree. It is different from the common view of asymmetric organic chemists＇ that θ directly influences βn.

Mine closure is associated with many negative impacts on society and the *** these effects are not rationally addressed,they would pose risks of mine ***,a risk management method is needed to mitigate these adverse impacts and address mine-closure *** integral framework for mine-closure risk management that includes risk assessment and risk treatment was *** the fuzziness and randomness of the transformation between qualitative and quantitative knowledge in the risk assessment process,a novel risk assessment method based on the cloud model was presented,which fully considers the uncertainty in risks themselves and in the reasoning *** mine reutilization is an effective risk treatment option in response to the identified high risks,but it requires selecting optimal reutilization strategies for the successful implementation of the reuse *** this end,a hybrid semi-quantitative decision method is proposed to optimize *** results of a case study showed that this risk management methodology can help budget planning for risk treatment and provide an instructional framework to effectively reduce the negative effects of closed mines.

It is estimated that more than 3 million people die from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)*** exacerbation of COPD(AECOPD)leads to an irreversible decline of pulmonary function,an increase of emergency visits,hospitalization and length of stay in hospital,and an increase of the ***,many exacerbations are not reported to healthcare professionals for therapy and yet these events,although often in short durations,have a significant impact on health status.111 Early detection and intervention of AECOPD as well as reducing of unreported episodes of AECOPD will potentially improve the prognosis.

Background Repair of large bone defects remains a challenge for clinicians. The present study investigated the ability of mesenchymal stem cells （MSCs） and/or periosteum-loaded poly（lactic-co-glycolic acid）（PLGA） to promote new bone formation within rabbit ulnar segmental bone defects. Methods Rabbit bone marrow-derived MSCs （passage 3） were seeded onto porous PLGA scaffolds. Forty segmental bone defects, each 15 mm in length, were created in the rabbit ulna, from which periosteum was obtained. Bone defects were treated with either PLGA alone （group A）, PLGA ＋ MSCs （group B）, periosteum-wrapped PLGA （group C） or periosteum-wrapped PLGA/MSCs （group D）. At 6 and 12 weeks post-surgery, samples were detected by gross observation, radiological examination （X-ray and micro-CT） and histological analyses. Results Group D, comprising both periosteum and MSCs, showed better bone quality, higher X-ray scores and a greater amount of bone volume compared with the other three groups at each time point （P 〈0.05）. No significant differences in radiological scores and amount of bone volume were found between groups B and C （P 〉0.05）, both of which were significantly higher than group A （P 〈0.05）. Conclusions Implanted MSCs combined with periosteum have a synergistic effect on segmental bone regeneration and that periosteum plays a critical role in the process. Fabrication of angiogenic and osteogenic cellular constructs or tissue-engineered periosteum will have broad applications in bone tissue engineering.

Bi-metal material consisting of spray-formed Al-22Si and ZL104 is a suitable candidate for applications in internal combustion engines. This research investigated the effects of surface treatment and appropriate gating system on the microstructures and mechanical properties in evaluating the optimal strategy for producing high quality bi-metal materials. The bi-metal materials were prepared using ZL104 gravity casting by different pouring types around the spray-formed AI-22Si with varied surface treatments. The wettability between AI-22Si and ZL104 was significantly improved when Zn coating was used to remove the natural oxide layer. This research also obtained the improved interfacial microstructures and interracial bonding strength for materials when applying the appropriate pouring method. The hardness profiles of AI-22Si/ZL104 bi-metal were consistent with the observed microstructures. The average tensile strength of the bi-metal material with zinc coating is -42.3 MPa, which is much higher than that with oxide film at -10 MPa. The process presented is a promising and effective approach for developing materials in the automotive industry.

A precipitation-hardening high-entropy alloy(HEA),(FeCoNi)_(86)Al_(7) Ti_(7),was successfully fabricated using selective laser melting(SLM).Severe segregation of Ti occurred at the boundaries of dislocation ***,homogenization heat treatment at 1150℃for 0.5 h was performed to alleviate the *** homogenization,almost no dislocation cells were left in the grains,and recrystallization occurred as the average grain size increased from 37 to 54μ*** with the initial as-built HEA,the ductility of the HEA increases significantly from 29%to 40%,and the strength decreases slightly from 710 to 606 *** further aging,pre-homogenization can decrease the precipitation of ordered L2_(1) *** void has a high propensity to initiate from the matrix/L2_(1) incoherent interface,pre-homogenization reduced the number of weak points,thus considerably improving the plastic deformation ability of the aged HEA by 36%.In addition,the strengthening mechanism has also been analyzed for the aged *** was revealed that the coherent L1_(2)precipitate contributed the most to the increased strength.

Acoustic emission test and CT scanning are important techniques in the study of coal crack propagation. A uniaxial compression test was performed on coal samples by integrating CT and acoustic emission. The test comparison analyzes the acoustic emission load and CT images for an effective observation on the entire process, from crack propagation to the samples＇ destruction. The box dimension of the coal samples＇ acoustic emission series and the CT images were obtained through calculations by using the authors＇ own program. The results show that the fractal dimension of both the acoustic emission energy and CT image increase rapidly, indicating coal and rock mass has entered a dangerous condition. Hence, measures should be taken to unload the pressure of the coal and rock mass. The test results provide intuitive observation data for the coal meso-damage model. The test contributes to in-depth studies of coal or rock crack propagation mechanisms and provides a theoretical basis for rock burst mechanism.
