MgH2 is a promising and popular hydrogen storage *** this work,the hydrogen desorption reactions of a single Pd atom adsorbed MgH2(110)surface are investigated by using first-principles density functional theory *** find that a single Pd atom adsorbed on the MgH2(110)surface can significantly lower the energy barrier of the hydrogen desorption reactions from 1.802 eV for pure MgH2(110)surface to 1.154 eV for Pd adsorbed MgH2(110)surface,indicating a strong Pd single-atom catalytic effect on the hydrogen desorption ***,the Pd single-atom catalysis significantly reduces the hydrogen desorption temperature from 573K to 367K,which makes the hydrogen desorption reactions occur more easily and quickly on the MgH2(110)*** also discuss the microscopic process of the hydrogen desorption reactions through the reverse process of hydrogen spillover mechanism on the MgH2(110)*** study shows that Pd/MgH2 thin films can be used as good hydrogen storage materials in future experiments.

A new mutant human papillomavirus type 16 E7 gene, termed HPV16 HBE7, was isolated from cervical carcinoma biopsy samples from patients in an area with high incidence of cervical cancer (Hubei province, China). A previous study showed that the HPV16 HBE7 protein was primarily cytoplasmic while wild-type HPV16 E7 protein, termed HPV16 WE7, was concentrated in the nucleus. With the aim of studying the biological functions of HPV16 HBE7, the transforming potential of HPV16 HBE7 in NIH/3T3 cells was detected through observation of cell morphology, cell proliferation assay and anchorage-independent growth assay. The effect of HPV16 HBE7 on cell cycle was examined by flow cytometry. Dual-luciferase reporter assay and RT-PCR were used to investigate the influence of HPV16 HBE7 protein on the expression of regulation factors associated with G1/S checkpoint. The results showed that HPV16 HBE7 protein, as well as HPV16 WE7 protein, held transformation activity. NIH/3T3 cells expressing HPV16 HBE7 could easily transition from G1 phase into S phase and expressed high level of cyclin A and cdc25A. These results indicated HPV16 mutant E7 protein, located in the cytoplasm, induces oncogenic transformation of NIH/3T3 cells via up-regulation of cyclin A and cdc25A.

In the Internet era,recommendation systems play a crucial role in helping users find relevant information from large *** imbalance is known to severely affect data quality,and therefore reduce the performance of recommendation *** to the imbalance,machine learning algorithms tend to classify inputs into the positive(majority)class every time to achieve high prediction *** can be categorized such as by features and classes,but most studies consider only class *** this paper,we propose a recommendation system that can integrate multiple networks to adapt to a large number of imbalanced features and can deal with highly skewed and imbalanced datasets through a loss *** propose a loss aware feature attention mechanism(LAFAM)to solve the issue of feature *** network incorporates an attention mechanism and uses multiple sub-networks to classify and learn *** better results,the network can learn the weights of sub-networks and assign higher weights to important *** propose suppression loss to address class imbalance,which favors negative loss by penalizing positive loss,and pays more attention to sample points near the decision *** on two large-scale datasets verify that the performance of the proposed system is greatly improved compared to baseline methods.

Estimation of Chloride Diffusivity in Hydrated Tricalcium Silicate Using a Hydration-Diffusion Integrated Method

This study aims to develop a chloride diffusion simulation method that considers the hydration microstructure and pore solution properties during the hydration of tricalcium silicate(C3S).The method combines the hydration simulation,thermodynamic calculation,and finite element analysis to examine the effects of pore solution,including effect of electrochemical potential,effect of chemical activity,and effect of mechanical interactions between ions,on the chloride effective diffusion coefficient of hydrated C3S *** results indicate that the effect of electrochemical potential on chloride diffusion becomes stronger with increasing hydration age due to the increase in the content of hydrated calcium silicate;as the hydration age increases,the effect of chemical activity on chloride diffusion weakens when the number of diffusible elements decreases;the effect of mechanical interactions between ions on chloride diffusion decreases with the increase of hydration age.

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

Abstract The Transient Electromagnetic (TEM) method is a critical geophysical technique for subsurface exploration of metal ore bodies, primarily utilizing either loop or grounded transmitters. The Long Offset Transient Electromagnetic(LOTEM) method employs a grounded-source transmitter, relying on a far-source observation mode and plane wave approximation for detection. However, LOTEM’s far-source configuration weakens signal strength, and the plane wave approximation reduces precision, limiting effective detection depth to approximately 1000 m with a comprehensive error of about 15%. Recently, we have developed the grounded-source Short Offset Transient Electromagnetic (SOTEM) method,achieving greater detection depth and accuracy within the 500–2000 m depth range, a crucial interval for mineral resource exploration. This study explores the theoretical framework, instrumentation, data processing, and field applications of SOTEM. Based on a point charge element model, SOTEM accurately computes surface wave effects in EM field calculations,optimized for near-source observation. High-power, high-resolution, wide-bandwidth exploration equipment and an advanced three-dimensional hybrid inversion technique were also developed to enhance the method’s effectiveness. Application of SOTEM to the deep exploration of the Zhou’an Ni-Cu-PGE deposit in Henan Province yielded high-resolution imaging of conductivity structures to about 2.5 km depth. These results, consistent with existing drill data, delineated mineralized ore bodies from surrounding formations, identified zones of mineralization potential, and suggested extensive resource prospects in the region.
