Prognostic significance of oligodendrocyte transcription factor 2 expression in glioma patients:A systematic review and metaanalys

BACKgROUND gliomas are the most common primary central nervous system *** recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of gliomas,patient prognosis remains ***,it is imperative to identify novel diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets of glioma to effectively improve treatment *** To investigate the association between oligodendrocyte transcription factor 2(Olig2)expression and the outcomes of glioma *** The PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases were searched for studies(published up to October 2023)that investigated the relationship between Olig2 expression and prognosis of glioma *** quality of the studies was assessed using the Newcastle Ottawa *** analyses were performed using Stata Version 12.0 *** A total of 1205 glioma patients from six studies were included in the *** Olig2 expression was associated with better outcomes in glioma patients[hazard ratio(HR):0.81;95%(confidence interval)CI:0.51-1.27;P=0.000].Furthermore,the results of subgroup meta-analysis showed that high expression of Olig2 was associated with poor overall survival in European patients(HR:1.34;95%CI:0.79-2.27)and better prognosis in Asian patients(HR:0.43;95%CI:0.22-0.84).The sensitivity analysis showed that no single study had a significant effect on pooled HR,and there was also no indication of publication bias according to the Egger’s and Begger’s P value test or funnel plot *** High Olig2 expression may have a positive impact on the prognosis of glioma patients,and should be investigated further as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for glioma.

BACKgROUND Models for predicting hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)seroconversion in patients with HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B(CHB)after nucleos(t)ide analog treatment are *** To establish a simple scoring model based on a response-guided therapy(RgT)strategy for predicting HBeAg seroconversion and hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)*** In this study,75 previously treated patients with HBeAg-positive CHB underwent a 52-week peginterferon-alfa(PEg-IFNα)treatment and a 24-wk *** regression analysis was used to assess parameters at baseline,week 12,and week 24 to predict HBeAg seroconversion at 24 wk *** two best predictors at each time point were used to establish a prediction model for PEg-IFNαtherapy *** at each time point that met the corresponding optimal cutoff thresholds were scored as 1 or *** The two most meaningful predictors were HBsAg≤1000 IU/mL and HBeAg≤3 S/CO at baseline,HBsAg≤600 IU/mL and HBeAg≤3 S/CO at week 12,and HBsAg≤300 IU/mL and HBeAg≤2 S/CO at week *** a total score of 0 vs 2 at baseline,week 12,and week 24,the response rates were 23.8%,15.2%,and 11.1%vs 81.8%,80.0%,and 82.4%,respectively,and the HBsAg clearance rates were 2.4%,3.0%,and 0.0%,vs 54.5%,40.0%,and 41.2%,*** We successfully established a predictive model and diagnosis-treatment process using the RgT strategy to predict HBeAg and HBsAg seroconversion in patients with HBeAg-positive CHB undergoing PEg-IFNαtherapy.

Highly thermally conductive graphitic film(gF)materials have become a competitive solution for the thermal management of high-power electronic ***,their catastrophic structural failure under extreme alternating thermal/cold shock poses a significant challenge to reliability and ***,we present the first investigation into the structural failure mechanism of gF during cyclic liquid nitrogen shocks(LNS),which reveals a bubbling process characterized by“permeation-diffusion-deformation”*** overcome this long-standing structural weakness,a novel metal-nanoarmor strategy is proposed to construct a Cu-modified graphitic film(gF@Cu)with seamless *** well-designed interface ensures superior structural stability for gF@Cu after hundreds of LNS cycles from 77 to 300 ***,gF@Cu maintains high thermal conductivity up to 1088 W m^(−1)K^(−1)with degradation of less than 5%even after 150 LNS cycles,superior to that of pure gF(50%degradation).Our work not only offers an opportunity to improve the robustness of graphitic films by the rational structural design but also facilitates the applications of thermally conductive carbon-based materials for future extreme thermal management in complex aerospace electronics.

ObjectiveTo explore the regulatory effect of Pien Tze Huang (PZH) on targeting partner of NOB1 (PNO1) and it’s down-stream mediators in colorectal cancer (CRC) *** polymerase chain reaction was performed to determine mRNA levels of PNO1, TP53, and CDKN1A. Western blotting was performed to determine protein levels of PNO1, p53, and p21. HCT-8 cells were transduced with a lentivirus over-expressing PNO1. Colony formation assay was used to detect cell survival in PNO1 overexpression of HCT-8 cells after PZH treatment. Cell-cycle distribution, cell viability and cell apoptosis were performed to identify the effect of PNO1 overexpression on cell proliferation and apoptosis of HCT-8 cells after PZH treatment. Xenograft BALB/c nude mice bearing HCT116 cells transduced with sh-PNO1 or sh-Ctrl lentivirus were evaluated. Western blot assay was performed to detect PNO1, p53, p21 and PCNA expression in tumor sections. 选用腐殖质活性组分富里酸(FA)作为铁锰镍层状双氢氧化物(FeMnNi-LDH)的修饰物,采用共沉淀法制备出稳定层状FA@FeMnNi-LDH复合材料,并运用于As(Ⅲ)和Cd(Ⅱ)复合污染土壤的钝化修复.通过小白菜盆栽实验研究了在不同砷镉复合污染水平及不同初始土壤pH值条件下,复合材料对土壤As(Ⅲ)和Cd(Ⅱ)的钝化效果、各形态含量变化及对小白菜根部和地上部As(Ⅲ)和Cd(Ⅱ)转运、富集系数的影响,并进行相关性分析.结果表明,FA@FeMnNi-LDH复合材料对As和Cd具有显著的同步钝化效果.当复合材料添加量由0%增加到1.0%,促进了土壤非专性吸附态和结晶铁铝氧化物结合态As向专性吸附态、无定型铁铝氧化物结合态和残渣态As转化,土壤可交换态Cd主要向残渣态、碳酸盐结合态、铁锰氧化物结合态和有机结合态Cd转化;土壤初始pH对As和Cd的钝化效果影响明显,酸性和中性土壤的pH分别增加了1.65和0.64个pH单位,土壤有效态As的降低率分别达到69.74%和63.31%,有效态Cd的降低率分别为60.25%和61.78%;小白菜的鲜重和株高随复合材料添加量的增加而提高,并且复合材料添加量的增加降低了小白菜各部位对As和Cd的转运和富集系数,使小白菜地上部As、Cd的浓度均低于国家食品安全标准限值.相关性分析显示,非专性吸附态As、可交换态Cd与土壤pH值呈极显著负相关性,残渣态As和Cd与土壤pH呈现极显著正相关,小白菜地上部分和根部中As和Cd的含量与土壤残渣态As和Cd呈极显著负相关关系.FA@FeMnNi-LDH复合材料能提高土壤pH值,促进土壤As和Cd向残渣态的转化,从而降低土壤As和Cd生物有效性和在小白菜植株中的累积,为土壤中As(Ⅲ)和Cd(Ⅱ)复合污染的同步修复提供了新的参考.
