BACKGROUND Radiotherapy stands as a promising therapeutic modality for colorectal cancer(CRC);yet,the formidable challenge posed by radio-resistance significantly undermines its efficacy in achieving CRC *** To elucidate the role played by microRNA-298(miR-298)in CRC *** To establish a radio-resistant CRC cell line,HT-29 cells underwent exposure to 5 gray ionizing radiation that was followed by a 7-d recovery *** quantification of miR-298 levels within CRC cells was conducted through quantitative RT-PCR,and protein expression determination was realized through Western *** viability was assessed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay and proliferation by clonogenic ***-induced apoptosis was discerned through flow cytometry *** We observed a marked upregulation of miR-298 in radio-resistant CRC ***-298 emerged as a key determinant of cell survival following radiation exposure,as its overexpression led to a notable reduction in radiation-induced ***,miR-298 expression exhibited a strong correlation with CRC cell *** investigation unveiled human dual-specificity tyrosine(Y)-regulated kinase 1A(DYRK1A)as miR-298’s direct *** Taken together,our findings underline the role played by miR-298 in bolstering radio-resistance in CRC cells by means of DYRK1A downregulation,thereby positioning miR-298 as a promising candidate for mitigating radioresistance in CRC.

A Dietary Supplement Jinghuosu Ameliorates Reproductive Damage Induced by Tripterygium Glycosides

Objective To determine the possible protective effects of Jinghuosu,a dietary supplement(DS),on tripterygium glycosides(TG)-induced reproductive system injury in rats and its underlying *** A reproductive damage model was established in rats by feeding of ***-eight male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 4 groups using a random number table(n=7 in each):control(C)group,model(M)group,DS group and L-carnitine(LC)*** in M,DS and LC groups received 40 mg/kg TGs *** from the 5th week,after administration of TGs for 4 h every day,rats in DS and LC groups were administered with 2.7 g/kg DS and 0.21 g/kg LC,respectively,for protective treatment over the next 4 *** in Group C continued to receive the control ***-eosin staining was used for histopathological analysis of rat testicular ***-linked immunosorbent assay was performed to measure alkaline phosphatase(ALP),lactate dehydrogenase,alcohol dehydrogenase,total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),superoxide dismutase,glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),and malondialdehyde(MDA)*** assay was used to determine the serum testosterone *** real-time PCR and Western blotting were conducted to analyze the expression of genes and proteins related to the testosterone synthesis pathway and the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2/heme oxygenase 1 antioxidant *** Oral administration of TGs induced significant increases in the testicular levels of zinc transporter 1 and MDA(Plity,and serum testosterone,serum zinc,testicular zinc,Zrt-,Irt-like protein 1,ALP,luteinizing hormone(LH)receptor,steroidogenic acute regulatory protein,Cytochrome P450 family 11 subfamily A member 1,3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 T-AOC,GSH-Px,nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2,heme oxygenase-1 and NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 levels decreased following TG

The permeability index is one of the important production indicators to monitor the operation of blast *** is crucial to grasp the trends of changes in the new permeability index in *** the complex vibration spectrum of the permeability index,a prediction model of the permeability index based on the VMD-PSO-BP(variational mode decomposition-particle swarm optimization-back propagation)method was ***,the key factors that affect the permeability index of blast furnace were studied from multiple ***,the permeability index was divided into multiple sub-modes based on the difference of frequency bands by the VMD algorithm,and a PSO-BP prediction model was established for each ***,the prediction results of each sub-mode were summed to obtain the final *** results show that the composite prediction accuracy by using the VMD algorithm is 3%higher than that of the traditional prediction method,which has better applicability.

Aero-Hydro-Elastic-Servo Modeling and Dynamic Response Analysis of A Monopile Offshore Wind Turbine Under Different Operating Scenarios

This paper constructs a coupled aero-hydro-elastic-servo simulation framework for a monopile offshore wind turbine(OWT).In this framework,a detailed multi-body dynamics model of the monopile OWT including the gearbox,blades,tower and other components(nacelle,hub,bedplate,etc.)has been explicitly *** effects of pile−soil interaction,controller and operational conditions on the turbine dynamic responses are studied systematically in time domain and frequency *** results show that(1)a comprehensive drivetrain model has the capability to provide a more precise representation of the complex dynamic characteristics exhibited by drivetrain components,which can be used as the basis for further study on the dynamic characteristics of the drivetrain.(2)The pile−soil interaction can influence the wind turbine dynamic responses,particularly under the parked condition.(3)The effect of the pile−soil interaction on tower responses is more significant than that on blade responses.(4)The use of the controller can substantially affect the rotor characteristics,which in turn influences the turbine dynamic responses.(5)The tower and blade displacements under the operational condition are much larger than those under the parked *** model and methodology presented in this study demonstrate potential for examining complex dynamic behaviors of the monopile *** ensure accuracy and precision,it is imperative to construct a detailed model of the wind turbine system,while also taking into account simulation efficiency.

Rapid Phase Ambiguity Elimination Methods for DOA Estimator via Hybrid Massive MIMO Receive Array

For a sub-connected hybrid multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) receiver with K subarrays and N antennas, there exists a challenging problem of how to rapidly remove phase ambiguity in only single time-slot. A direction of arrival(DOA) estimator of maximizing received power(Max-RP) is proposed to find the maximum value of K-subarray output powers, where each subarray is in charge of one sector, and the center angle of the sector corresponding to the maximum output is the estimated true DOA. To make an enhancement on precision, Max-RP plus quadratic interpolation(Max-RP-QI) method is designed. In the proposed Max-RP-QI, a quadratic interpolation scheme is adopted to interpolate the three DOA values corresponding to the largest three receive powers of *** achieve the Cramer Rao lower bound, a Root-MUSIC plus Max-RP-QI scheme is developed. Simulation results show that the proposed three methods eliminate the phase ambiguity during one time-slot and also show low computational complexities. The proposed Root-MUSIC plus Max-RP-QI scheme can reach the Cramer Rao lower bound,and the proposed Max-RP and Max-RP-QI are still some performance losses 2–4 d B compared to the Cramer Rao lower bound.

Strategies to advance thermoelectric performance of PbSe and PbS materials

Thermoelectric materials possess the unique capability to convert thermal energy into electric energy and vice versa, making them promising for waste heat recovery and efficient cooling systems. Currently, extensively investigated thermoelectric materials such as Bi2Te3,PbTe and GeTe exhibit superior thermoelectric properties at room temperature and medium temperature ***, the broad application of these thermoelectric materials has been impeded by the high cost and restricted accessibility of Te and Ge in the earth's crust. Over the past few years, researchers have shown increasing interest in PbSe-and PbS-based materials, primarily attributed to their abundant elemental supply and relatively low costs. The assessment of research progress and a comprehensive overview of optimization strategies in time can significantly contribute to further improving the thermoelectric performance. These strategies include optimizing carrier concentration(aliovalent doping, dynamic doping and defect state), enhancing density-of-state effective mass(band convergence, band flattening and energy filtering effect), optimizing carrier mobility(band sharpening and band alignment) and reducing lattice thermal conductivity(all-scale hierarchical defect structures designing). This systematic summary and analysis provide novel insights and perspectives for the development of thermoelectric materials.
