High harmonic generation in ZnO crystals under chirped single-color field and static electric field are investigated by solving the semiconductor Bloch equation(SBE). It is found that when the chirp pulse is introduced, the interference structure becomes obvious while the harmonic cutoff is not extended. Furthermore, the harmonic efficiency is improved when the static electric field is included. These phenomena are demonstrated by the classical recollision model in real space affected by the waveform of laser field and inversion symmetry. Specifically, the electron motion in k-space shows that the change of waveform and the destruction of the symmetry of the laser field lead to the incomplete X-structure of the crystal-momentum-resolved(k-resolved) inter-band harmonic spectrum. Furthermore, a pre-acceleration process in the solid four-step model is confirmed.

The exploration and utilization of lunar resources have become the major objectives of future lunar exploration missions. The classified collection and processing of lunar minerals is the basic prerequisite for the in-situ exploration and utilization of lunar resources. In this study, we propose a scheme for in-situ separation of magnetic minerals from lunar soils using the dry magnetic separation method. The scheme can realize the purpose of separating magnetic minerals from lunar regolith by altering the motion trajectory of lunar regolith particles with different magnetic properties. Detailed modeling of the dry magnetic separation device is conducted, and the three-dimensional distribution of magnetic parameters is calculated and analyzed. Based on the characterization and analysis of the Chang E-5's samples, the morphologies and physical parameters of lunar regolith particles are modeled and simulated. A discrete element simulation of the motion process of lunar regolith particles under multi-physical field conditions is performed, and the influences of key parameters on the beneficiation performance of lunar magnetic minerals are investigated. Our results indicate that optimal separation and beneficiation of lunar regolith particles can be achieved under specific conditions of magnetic field strength and drum speed. Additionally, we analyze the effects of lunar weak gravity conditions and the charged nature of lunar particles on the beneficiation process, showing that these factors can obviously enhance the beneficiation process of lunar ilmenites. This study demonstrates the feasibility of using the dry magnetic separation method for the beneficiation of magnetic minerals from lunar regolith, providing a theoretical basis for the scientific tasks of collecting, processing, and utilizing lunar mineral resources.

Cerebral edema caused by blood-brain barrier injury after intracerebral hemorrhage is an important factor leading to poor ***-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neural stem cell exosomes(hiPSC-NSC-Exos)have shown potential for brain injury repair in central nervous system *** this study,we explored the impact of hiPSC-NSC-Exos on blood-brain barrier preservation and the underlying *** results indicated that intranasal delivery of hiPSC-NSC-Exos mitigated neurological deficits,enhanced blood-brain barrier integrity,and reduced leukocyte infiltration in a mouse model of intracerebral ***,hiPSC-NSC-Exos decreased immune cell infiltration,activated astrocytes,and decreased the secretion of inflammatory cytokines like monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,macrophage inflammatory protein-1α,and tumor necrosis factor-αpost-intracerebral hemorrhage,thereby improving the inflammatory *** sequencing indicated that hiPSC-NSC-Exo activated the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway in astrocytes and decreased monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 secretion,thereby improving blood-brain barrier *** with the PI3K/AKT inhibitor LY294002 or the monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 neutralizing agent C1142 abolished these *** summary,our findings suggest that hiPSC-NSC-Exos maintains blood-brain barrier integrity,in part by downregulating monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 secretion through activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway in astrocytes.

Multivariate time series forecasting iswidely used in traffic planning,weather forecasting,and energy *** decomposition algorithms can help models better understand the underlying patterns of the original series to improve the forecasting accuracy of multivariate time ***,the decomposition kernel of previous decomposition-based models is fixed,and these models have not considered the differences in frequency fluctuations between *** problems make it difficult to analyze the intricate temporal variations of real-world time *** this paper,we propose a series decomposition-based Mamba model,DecMamba,to obtain the intricate temporal dependencies and the dependencies among different variables of multivariate time series.A variable-level adaptive kernel combination search module is designed to interact with information on different trends and periods between *** backbone structures are proposed to emphasize the differences in frequency fluctuations of seasonal and trend *** with superior performance is used instead of a Transformer in backbone structures to capture the dependencies among different variables.A new embedding block is designed to capture the temporal features better,especially for the high-frequency seasonal component whose semantic information is difficult to acquire.A gating mechanism is introduced to the decoder in the seasonal backbone to improve the prediction accuracy.A comparison with ten state-of-the-art models on seven real-world datasets demonstrates that DecMamba can better model the temporal dependencies and the dependencies among different variables,guaranteeing better prediction performance for multivariate time series.

Direct seawater splitting has emerged as a popular and promising research direction for synthesising clean,green,non-polluting,and sustainable hydrogen energy without depending on high-purity water in the face of the world’s shortage of fossil ***,efficient seawater splitting is hindered by slow kinetics caused by the ultra-low conductivity and the presence of bacteria,microorganisms,and stray ions in ***,producing hydrogen on an industrial scale is challenging due to the high production *** present review addresses these challenges from the catalyst point of view,namely,that designing catalysts with high catalytic activity and stability can directly affect the rate and effect of seawater *** the ion transfer perspective,designing membranes can block harmful ions,improving the stability of seawater *** the energy point of view,mixed seawater systems and self-powered systems also provide new and low-energy research systems for seawater ***,ideas and directions for further research on direct seawater splitting in the future are pointed out,with the aim of achieving low-cost and high-efficiency hydrogen production.

Exploration of reaction rates of chlorine dioxide with tryptophan residue in oligopeptides and proteins

Chlorine dioxide(ClO2),an alternative disinfectant to chlorine,has a superior ability to inactivate microorganisms,in which protein damage has been considered as the main inactivation ***,the reactivity of ClO2 with amino acid residues in oligopeptides and proteins remains poorly *** this research,we studied the reaction rate constants of ClO2 with tryptophan residues in five heptapeptides and four proteins using stopped-flow or competition kinetic *** heptapeptide and protein contain only one tryptophan residue and the reactivity of tryptophan residue with ClO2 was lower than that of free tryptophan(3.88×10^4(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1 at pH 7.0).The neighboring amino acid residues affected the reaction rates through promoting inter-peptide aggregation,changing electron density,shifting pKa values or inducing electron transfer via redox reactions.A single amino acid residue difference in oligopeptides can make the reaction rate constants differ by over 60%(e.g.3.01×10^4(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1 for DDDWNDD and 1.85×10^4(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1 for DDDWDDD at pH 7.0(D:aspartic acid,W:tryptophan,N:asparagine)).The reaction rates of tryptophan-containing oligopeptides were also highly pH-dependent with higher reactivity for deprotonated tryptophan than the neutral *** residues in proteins spanned a 4-fold range reactivity toward ClO2(i.e.0.84×10^4(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1 for ribonuclease T1 and 3.21×10^4(mol/L)^-1 sec^-1 for melittin at pH 7.0)with accessibility to the oxidant as the determinating *** local environment surrounding the tryptophan residue in proteins can also accelerate the reaction rates by increasing the electron density of the indole ring of tryptophan or inhibit the reaction rates by inducing electron transfer *** results are of significance in advancing understanding of ClO2 oxidative reactions with proteins and microbial inactivation mechanisms.
