Hydrogen storage behavior of Mg-based alloy catalyzed by carbon-cobalt composites

The composites comprised of Co nanoparticle and C nanosheet were prepared though a high-temperature carbonization *** catalysis of Co@C composites on the hydrogen storage behavior of Mg_(90)Ce_(5)Y_(5)alloy was investigated in detail by XRD,SEM,TEM,PCI,and DSC *** of the synergistic catalytic function of C and Co in C@Co nanocomposites,the Mg_(90)Ce_(5)Y_(5)alloy with 10 wt.%C@Co shows the excellent hydrogen absorption and desorption *** for releasing hydrogen reduces from 150 min to 11 min with the addition of the C@Co composites at the temperature of 300℃.Meanwhile,the dehydrogenation activation energy also declines from 130.3 to 81.9 kJ mol^(-1)H_(2)after the addition of the C@Co *** positive effect attributes to the C layer with the high defect density and the Co nanoparticles,which reduces the energy barriers for the nucleation of Mg/MgH_(2)phase and the recombination of hydrogen ***,the C@Co composites also improve the activation property of the Mg_(90)Ce_(5)Y_(5)alloy which was folly activated in the first ***,the temperature for initial dehydrogenation and the endothermic peak of the alloy hydride were also *** the addition of the C@Co composites increases the plateau pressures and decreases the value of the decomposition enthalpy,these differences are so small that the improvement on thermodynamics can hardly be seen.

Geometric Mean Maximum FSVMI Model and Its Application in Carotid Artery Stenosis Risk Prediction

Carotid artery stenosis is a serious medical condition that can lead to stroke. Using machine learning method to construct classifier model, carotid artery stenosis can be diagnosed with transcranial doppler data. We propose an improved fuzzy support vector machine model to predict carotid artery stenosis, with the maximum geometric mean as the optimization *** fuzzy membership function is obtained by combining information entropy with the normalized class-center distance. Experimental results showed that the proposed model was superior to the benchmark models in sensitivity and geometric mean criteria.

Simple and Ultrahigh Efficient Superhydrophilic Polydopamine-coated TiO_(2) Cotton for Oil-water Separation

Oil–water mixing has brought many problems to a society, and it is of great significance to develop a simple, convenient, efficient, and durable separation material to solve the problem of oil–water mixing. In this paper, modified cottons were successfully prepared using polydopamine as the in situ mineralization site of TiO_(2) nanoparticles combined with synergistic crosslinking with KH550. A large number of hydrophilic groups endowed the cotton with superhydrophilic ability, which greatly shortened its water spreading time. The prepared modified cotton could be successfully separated from oil and water, and still had a separation efficiency of 99.999% after 50 cycles. In addition, after 24 h immersion in 1 M HCl, NaOH, and NaCl solutions and 50 abrasion experiments, the modified cotton showed excellent oil–water separation ability, and the separation efficiency was above 99.990%. Successfully provided a simple preparation method to prepare high-efficiency and clean cottons for oil–water separation.

Thermal-mechanical processing of magnesium-based materials is an effective method to tailor the hydrogen storage *** this study,Mg-Ni-Gd-Y-Zn-Cu alloys were prepared by Direct Chill(DC)casting,with and without extrusion *** influences of microstructure evolution,introduced by DC casting and thermal-mechanical processing,on the hydrogen storage performance of Mg-Ni-Gd-Y-ZnCu alloys were comprehensively explored,using analytical electron microscopy and in-situ synchrotron powder X-ray *** result shows that the extruded alloy yields higher hydrogen absorption capacity and faster hydrogen ab/desorption *** subjected to extrusion processing,theα-Mg grains in the microstructure were significantly refined and a large number of 14H type long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)phases appeared on theα-Mg *** activation,there were more nanosized Gd hydride/Mg2Ni intermetallics and finer *** modifications synergistically enhance the hydrogen storage *** findings have implications for the alloy design and manufacturing of magnesiumbased hydrogen storage materials with the advantages of rapid mass production and anti-oxidation.

Synthesis and electrochemical properties of Li[Ni_xCo_yMn_(1-x-y)]O_2 (x, y = 2/8, 3/8) cathode materials for lithium ion batteries

The tmiform layered Li（Ni2/8Co3/8Mn3/8）O2, Li（Ni3/8Co2/8Mn3/8）O2, and Li（Ni3/8Co3/8Mn2/8）O2 cathode materials for lithium ion batteries were prepared using the hydroxide co-precipitation method. The effects of calcination temperature and transition metal contents on the structure and electrochemical properties of the Li-Ni-Co-Mn-O were systemically studied. The results of XRD and electrochemical performance measurement show that the ideal preparation conditions were to prepare the Li（Ni3/8Co3/8Mn2/8）O2 cathode material calcined at 900℃ for 10 h. The well-ordered Li（Ni3/8Co3/8Mn2/8）O2 synthesized under the optimal conditions has the I003/I104 ratio of 1.25 and the R value of 0.48 and delivers the initial discharge capacity of 172.9 mA·h·g^-1, the discharge capacity of 166.2 mA·h·g^-1 after 20 cycles at 0.2C rate, and the impedance of 558 Ω after the first cycle. The decrease of Ni content results in the decrease of discharge capacity and the bad cycling performance of the Li-Ni-Co-Mn-O cathode materials, but the decreases of Mn content and Co content to a certain extent can improve the electrochemical properties of the Li-Ni-Co-Mn-O cathode materials.

This paper presents an analytical model to solve the linear wave diffraction problem by arrays of bottom-mounted cylinders with arbitrary smooth *** on the assumption of ideal fluid and potential theory,the unknown coefficients of total velocity potential can be solved by system of linear equations,which are obtained from the boundary *** accuracy of the present method is verified by comparing it with the numerical tool in terms of the wave force and wave *** cylinders with different configurations are tested,the cross-section of which is circular with cosine *** results show that the proposed method could obtain an accurate prediction of the wave action with multiple cylinder ***,the diffraction wave is investigated on arrays of bottom-mounted cylinders with different cross-section and *** near-trapping problem with effects of the multi-body interaction are also investigated.

Holographic images of an AdS black hole within the framework of f(R) gravity theory

Based on the AdS/CFT correspondence,this study employs an oscillating Gaussian source to numerically study the holographic images of an AdS black hole under f(R)gravity using wave *** to the diffraction of scalar wave,it turns out that one can clearly observed the interference patten of the absolute amplitude of response function on the AdS ***,it is observed that its peak increases with the f(R)parameterαbut decreases with the global monopoleη,frequencyω,and horizon r_(h).More importantly,the results reveal that the holographic Einstein ring is a series of concentric striped patterns for an observer at the North Pole and that their center is analogous to a Poisson-Arago *** ring can evolve into a luminosity-deformed ring or two light spots when the observer is at a different *** to geometrical optics,it is true that the size of the brightest holographic ring is approximately equal to that of the photon sphere,and the two light spots correspond to clockwise and anticlockwise light *** addition,holographic images for different values of black holes and optical system parameters were obtained,and different features ***,we conclude that the holographic rings of the AdS black hole in modified gravities are more suitable and helpful for testing the existence of a gravity dual for a given material.

Comparative Study on Solid-State and Metastable Liquid-State Aging for SAC305/Cu Joints

In order to study the in?uence of the physical state of solder on the interfacial reaction of dip-soldered Sn-3.0 Ag-0.5 Cu/Cu system, two kinds of experiments were designed, including:(1) solid-state aging between the solder and Cu substrate;(2)liquid-state aging between the metastable supercooled liquid-state solder and Cu substrate. The aging times were 30, 60,120 and 180 min, respectively, and the aging temperature was 8 ℃ lower than the melting point of the Sn-3.0 Ag-0.5 Cu(SAC305) alloy(217 ℃). The experimental data revealed that the physical state of the solder obviously affected the formation of the intermetallic compound(IMC), and resulted in the difference in the diffusion of atoms on the interface between the SAC305 solder and Cu substrate. The IMC interface after aging for 30 min presents unique characteristics compared with that of the sample after dip soldering. The IMC interface of solid-state aged SAC305/Cu couple is relatively planar, while the IMC interface under metastable supercooled liquid-state aging conditions presents scallop-like shape.
