Cysteine residues 87 and 320 in the amino terminal domain of NMDA receptor GluN2A govern its homodimerization but do not influence GluN2A/GluN1 heteromeric assembly

N-Methyl-D-aspartate receptors（NMDARs） play a central role in various physiological and pathological processes in the central nervous *** they are commonly composed of four subunits,two GluN1 subunits and two GluN2 or GluN3 *** different subunit compositions make NMDARs a heterogeneous population with distinct electrophysiological and pharmacological properties and thus with different abilities to conduct neuronal *** subunit composition,assembly process,and final structure of assembled NMDARs have been studied for years but no consensus has been *** this study,we investigated the role of the amino terminal domain（ATD） of GluN2A in regulating NMDAR *** ATD of GluN2A was first expressed in heterogeneous cells and the homodimer formation was investigated by fluorescent resonance energy transfer and non-reducing SDS- PAGE *** of the three cysteine residues located in the ATD was mutated into alanine,and the homodimerization of the ATD or GluN2A,as well as the heteromeric assembly of NMDARs was assessed by non-reducing SDS- PAGE electrophoresis,co-immunoprecipitation and *** found that two cysteine residues,C87 and C320,in the ATD of the GluN2A subunit were required for the formation of disulfide bonds and GluN2A ATD ***,the disruption of GluN2A ATD domain dimerization had no influence on the assembly and surface expression of *** results suggest that the two ATD domains of GluN2A are structurally adjacent in fully-assembled ***,unlike GluN1,the homomerization of the ATD domain of GluN2A is not required for the assembly of NMDARs,implying that GluN2A and GluN1 play unequal roles in NMDAR assembly.

Effects of Na_(2)CO_(3)on reduction mechanism and kinetics of iron during deep reduction of ilmenite concentrate

High-quality upgraded titanium slag obtained through semi-molten reduction with the addition of Na_(2)CO_(3)is important for the fluidizing chlorination process to produce TiO_(2)*** key is the effect of Na_(2)CO_(3)on the reduction behavior of ***,the effects of Na_(2)CO_(3)on reduction mechanism and kinetics of iron during deep reduction of ilmenite concentrate were *** results indicated that the metallization ratio of the reduced sample increased with increasing temperature,time,and dose of Na_(2)CO_(3).The addition of Na_(2)CO_(3)significantly accelerated the reduction of iron in the ilmenite concentrate and promoted the growth of iron ***,the addition of Na_(2)CO_(3)produced sodium iron titanates;thus,the metallization ratio of the sample decreased with an increase in the temperature and time when the temperature was above 1200℃and the time was more than 30 *** the doses of Na_(2)CO_(3)were 0,3,and 6 wt.%,the reduction of iron was controlled by the interfacial chemical reaction,both the interfacial chemical reaction and diffusion,and diffusion,respectively,and the apparent activation energies were 134.91,64.89,and 120.82 kJ/mol,respectively.

Common iliac artery occlusion with small intestinal transection caused by blunt abdominal trauma: A case report and review of the literature

Measurements of convection electric field in the inner magnetosphere

In this paper, we study the characteristic of large-scale convection electric field in the inner magnetosphere, using magnetospheric multiscale(MMS) observations between L=5 and L=8 over the period from September 1, 2015 to October 31, 2016,covering almost all magnetic local time(MLT). Observations show that the DC convection electric field generally has small variations in this region. We investigate whether the convection electric field is correlated with geomagnetic indices and solar wind parameters. It is found that, among the studied parameters, solar wind electric field, z component of interplanetary magnetic field, AE and Kp indices show good correlations with the averaged convection electric field. The results in this paper provide valuable information for understanding the role of electric field on the dynamics of the inner magnetosphere.

Fractures interaction and propagation mechanism of multi-cluster fracturing on laminated shale oil reservoir

The continental shale reservoirs of Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation in Sichuan Basin contain thin lamina,which is characterized by strong plasticity and developed longitudinal shell limestone *** improve the production efficiency of reservoirs by multi-cluster fracturing,it is necessary to consider the unbalanced propagation of hydraulic fractures and the penetration effect of *** paper constructed a numerical model of multi-fracture propagation and penetration based on the finite element coupling cohesive zone method;considering the construction cluster spacing,pump rate,lamina strength and other parameters studied the influencing factors of multi-cluster fracture interaction propagation;combined with AE energy data and fracture mode reconstruction method,quantitatively characterized the comprehensive impact of the strength of thin interlayer rock interfaces on the initiation and propagation of fractures that penetrate layers,and accurately predicted the propagation pattern of hydraulic fractures through laminated shale oil *** results revealed that in the process of multi-cluster fracturing,the proportion of shear damage is low,and mainly occurs in bedding fractures activated by outer *** the cluster spacing enhances the fracture system's penetration ability,though it lowers the activation efficiency of *** high plasticity of the limestone interlayer may impact the vertical propagation distance of the main *** the interface strength is beneficial to the reconstruction of the fracture height,but the interface communication effect is *** selection of layers with moderate lamina strength for fracturing stimulation,increasing the pump rate during fracturing and setting the cluster spacing reasonably are beneficial to improve the effect of reservoir stimulation.

Leaf stage-associated resistance is correlated with phytohormones in a pathosystem-dependen manner

It has been reported in several pathosystems that disease resistance can vary in leaves at different stages. However, how general this leaf stage-associated resistance is, and the molecular mechanism（s） underly- ing it, remain largely unknown. Here, we investigated the effect of leaf stage on basal resistance, effector- triggered immunity （ETI） and nonhost resistance, using eight pathosystems involving the hosts Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana tabacum, and N. benthamiana and the pathogens Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Pseudomonas syringae pv. tabaci, P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000, and Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae （Xoo）. We show evidence that leaf stage-associated resistance exists ubiquitously in plants, but with varying intensity at different stages in diverse pathosystems. Microarray expression profiling assays demonstrated that hundreds of genes involved indefense responses, phytohormone biosynthesis and signaling, and calcium signaling, were differentially expressed between leaves at different stages. The Arabidopsis mutants sid1, sid2-3, ein2, jar1-1, abal and aao3 lost leaf stage-associated resistance to S. sclerotiorum, and the mutants abal and sid2-3 were affected in leaf stage-associated RPS2/AvrRpt2＋-con- ferred ETI, whereas only the mutant sid2-3 influenced leaf stage-associated nonhost resistance to Xoo. Our results reveal that the phytohormones salicylic acid, ethylene, jasmonic acid and abscisic acid likely play an essential, but pathosystem-dependent, role in leaf stage- associated resistance.

New Li-ion Battery Evaluation Research Based on Thermal Property and Heat Generation Behavior of Battery

We do a new Li-ion battery evaluation research on the effects of cell resistance and polariza- tion on the energy loss in batteries based on thermal property and heat generation behavior of battery. Series of 18650 cells with different capacities and electrode materials are evalu- ated by measuring input and output energy which change with charge-discharge time and current. Based on the results of these tests, we build a model of energy loss in cells＇ charge- discharge process, which include Joule heat and polarization heat impact factors. It was reported that Joule heat was caused by cell resistance, which included De-resistance and reaction resistance, and reaction resistance could not be easily obtained through routine test method. Using this new method, we can get the total resistance R and the polarization parameter U. The relationship between R, η, and temperature is also investigated in order to build a general model for series of different Li-ion batteries, and the research can be used in the performance evaluation, state of charge prediction and the measuring of consistency of the batteries.
