Numerical simulation of flow characteristics of side-bottom combined blowing in iron bath reactor

A numerical model of an iron bath smelting reduction furnace with side-bottom combined blowing was established to study the influence of blowing arrangements on the stirring effect of the molten pool,and the accuracy of numerical simulation was verified by water model *** comparing the flow field of molten pool with single nozzle,double nozzles(symmetrical and asymmetrical),and four nozzles(symmetrical and asymmetrical),the proportion of dead zone,average turbulent kinetic energy,and mixing time,the results show that asymmetrical bottom blowing is better than symmetrical bottom blowing,and the effect of double nozzles bottom blowing was better than that of four nozzles bottom *** mixing effect is the worst under the condition of single *** the bottom blowing is asymmetrical with double nozzles,the mixing time is the *** the condition of double nozzles asymmetrical bottom blowing,when the insertion angle and depth of side lance are larger and deeper,the velocity streamline of molten slag layer is denser and the value is larger;meanwhile,the reflux of molten iron layer is larger,the proportion of dead zone is smaller,and the whole molten pool is fully *** the insertion depth of the side lance is deeper,the gas holdup in the molten pool is greater and the stirring of the molten pool is more intense,while the insertion angle has little effect on the gas *** comparing the influence of different side blowing conditions on the slag layer,it is found that the slag layer is divided into two layers by double-layer side lance,with the critical surface of the slag layer at about 200-260 mm from the bottom,and the insertion depth of the lower side lance has a greater influence on the layering of the slag.

Solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs)show great promise in terms of high-energy-density and high-safety ***,there is an urgent need to address the compatibility of electrolytes with high-voltage cathodes/Li anodes,and to minimize the electrolyte thickness to achieve highenergy-density of ***,we develop an ultrathin(12.6μm)asymmetric composite solid-state electrolyte with ultralight areal density(1.69 mg cm^(−2))for *** electrolyte combining a garnet(LLZO)layer and a metal organic framework(MOF)layer,which are fabricated on both sides of the polyethylene(PE)separator separately by tape *** PE separator endows the electrolyte with flexibility and excellent mechanical *** LLZO layer on the cathode side ensures high chemical stability at high *** MOF layer on the anode side achieves a stable electric field and uniform Li flux,thus promoting uniform Li^(+)*** to the well-designed structure,the Li symmetric battery exhibits an ultralong cycle life(5000 h),and high-voltage SSLMBs achieve stable cycle *** assembled pouch cells provided a gravimetric/volume energy density of 344.0 Wh kg^(−1)/773.1 Wh L^(−1).This simple operation allows for large-scale preparation,and the design concept of ultrathin asymmetric structure also reveals the future development direction of SSLMBs.

To obtain a deep insight into keyhole tungsten inert gas welding,it is necessary to observe the dynamic behavior of the weld pool and *** this study,based on the steel/glass sandwich and high dynamic range camera,a vision system is developed and the keyhole-weld pool profiles are captured during the real-time welding ***,to analyze the dynamic behavior of the weld pool and keyhole,an image processing algorithm is proposed to extract the compression depth of the weld pool and the geometric parameters of the keyhole from the captured *** considering the variations of these parameters over time,it was found that the front and rear lengths of the keyhole were dynamically adjusted internally and had opposite trends according to the real-time welding status while the length of the keyhole was in a quasi-steady *** proposed vision-based observation method lays a solid foundation for studying the weld forming process and improving keyhole tungsten inert gas welding.

The evaporation and dilution of substrate seriously limit the performance of laser cladding coatings on magnesium *** order to overcome the above shortcomings,a multi-step ultrasonic assisted laser remelting technology was proposed to improve the performance of the *** this work,a novel Cu_(2.3)Al_(1.3)Ni_(1.7)SnCr_(0.3) multi-principal element alloy coating(MPEAC)was prepared on the surface of mag-nesium *** techniques such as transmission electron microscopy(TEM),electron back scatter diffraction(EBSD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)were employed to characterize the microstructure and phase composition of the *** the phase structure and morphology at the interface between the coating and the substrate were also studied via focus ion beam(FIB)and TEM *** addition,the corrosion and wear resistance ability of the coatings were monitored by potentiodynamic polarization(PDP),and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),hardness and friction *** results show that Cu_(2.3)Al_(1.3)Ni_(1.7)SnCr_(0.3) MPEAC with ultrasonic assisted is composed of FCC phase and eutectic phases(Cu_(10)Sn_(3) and Cu_(2)Ni_(3)Sn_(3)).Due to the forced convection generated by ultrasonic waves,some Cu and Ni phases are precipitated around Cu_(2)Ni_(3)Sn_(3) phases,which is beneficial to enhance the corrosion *** of the grain refinement effect caused by ultrasonic,the wear resistance of the coating is also ***,ultrasonic vibration can effectively weaken and eliminate the texture density of the Cu_(2.3)Al_(1.3)Ni_(1.7)SnCr_(0.3) MPEAC fabricated by laser cladding.

The influence of NH4+ions on the corrosion behavior of AZ31 magnesium alloy was investigated by immersion test,hydrogen evolution,electrochemical methods and morphology *** results demonstrate the acceleration effect of NH4+on corrosion of AZ31 magnesium alloy due to the disruption of protective MgO film in NH4+-containing *** loose and cracked corrosion products of AZ31 magnesium alloy in NH4+-containing solutions are mainly composed of(Mg0.833Al0.167)(OH)2(CO3)0.083·0.75H2O and Mg5(CO3)4(OH)2·*** the NH4+concentration is lower than 0.01 M,knife-cut like corrosion occurs in some active area of the surface due to the partial dissolution of MgO *** the NH4+concentration is increased to 0.1 M,the MgO layer is completely disrupted,resulting in the occurrence of uniform *** cathodic and anodic reactions are accelerated by NH4+ions,while the effect of original pH values on the reaction kinetics can be neglected in NH4+-containing solutions.

Tuberculosis(TB)is a chronic infectious disease,which is caused by the pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb)and reemerged as a global health risk with a significant proportion of multi-drug resistant and extensively drug resistant TB *** is very urgent to find some novel high-confidence drug targets in Mtb for discovering the effective anti-TB *** reductase(TrxR)has been identified to be a highly viable target for anti-TB drugs for its important role in protecting the pathogen from thiol-specific oxidizing stress,regulating intracellular dithiol/disulfide homeostasis and DNA replication and *** the present work,a near-infrared(NIR)fluorescent probe DDAT was developed for the detection of TrxR activity and used to high-throughput screen the TrxR inhibitors from natural *** screened TrxR inhibitors from Sappan Lignum and microbial metabolites that were further used to inhibit Mycobacterium *** the results indicate that DDAT is a practical fluorescent molecular tool for the discovery of potential anti-TB drugs.

Identification of Lubricating Oil Additives Using XGBoost and Ant Colony Optimization Algorithms

To address the problem of identifying multiple types of additives in lubricating oil,a method based on midinfrared spectral band selection using the eXtreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)algorithm combined with the ant colony optimization(ACO)algorithm is *** XGBoost algorithm was used to train and test three additives,T534(alkyl diphenylamine),T308(isooctyl acid thiophospholipid octadecylamine),and T306(trimethylphenol phosphate),separately,in order to screen for the optimal combination of spectral bands for each *** ACO algorithm was used to optimize the parameters of the XGBoost algorithm to improve the identification *** this process,the support vector machine(SVM)and hybrid bat algorithms(HBA)were included as a comparison,generating four models:ACO-XGBoost,ACO-SVM,HBA-XGboost,and *** results showed that all four models could identify the three additives efficiently,with the ACO-XGBoost model achieving 100%recognition of all three *** addition,the generalizability of the ACO-XGBoost model was further demonstrated by predicting a lubricating oil containing the three additives prepared in our laboratory and a collected sample of commercial oil currently in use。

Sensing mechanism is still a big problem in the field of gas ***-depth study of the sensing mechanism can provide better ideas for the design of sensing materials,and it is also more conducive to the improvement in gas-sensing *** this work,Ag/α-MoO_(3) material was obtained by loading Ag in α-MoO_(3) nanobelts prepared by hydrothermal *** material was characterized by field electron scanning electron microscopy(SEM),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Comparing the gas sensing properties of α-MoO_(3) and Ag/α-MoO_(3),it is found that Ag effectively improves the selectivity of the material to H_(2)S at 133℃.The response of the 5 wt% Ag/α-MoO_(3) sensor to 100 × 10-6 hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S) is 225 and the detection limit is 100 ×10^(-9).The sensing mechanism was verified by gas chromatography and mass spectrometer(GC-MS),XPS and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).

Transition-metal sulfides,such as 1T-and 2H-TaS_(2),are attracting considerable interest in modern condensed matter physics for their diverse behaviors of the Mott state,peculiar charge-density-wave phase and *** intrinsically low thermal conductivities along the cross-plane direction can advantage the potential high thermoelectric performance;yet,their insignificant power factors severely hampered the practical applications as thermoelectric *** this perspective,we herein present a new semiconducting phase in TaS_(3) with the space group C2/m predicted by the swarmintelligence structure-searching *** C2/m-TaS_(3) phase exhibits anisotropic multivalley band dispersions,which is beneficial for electronic ***,the unique structure within nanopores leads to strong anharmonic scattering,significantly reducing the lattice thermal *** a result,the calculated figure of merit ZT can reach up to 1.68 and 1.57 at 800 K for p-and n-type,respectively that is comparable with conventional thermoelectric materials(***,Bi_(2)Te_(3)).Therefore,our calculation reveals that the C2/m-TaS_(3) phase can be a potential high-performance candidate as nontoxic and eco-friendly thermoelectrics,and will stimulate further experimental exploration for understanding and tailoring thermoelectric capability in related transition-metal sulfides.
