The application of industrial solid wastes as environmentally functional materials for air pollutants control has gained much attention in recent years due to its potential to reduce air pollution in a cost-effective *** this review,we investigate the development of industrialwaste-based functional materials for various gas pollutant removal and consider the relevant reaction mechanism according to different types of industrial solid *** see a recent effort towards achieving high-performance environmental functional materials via chemical or physical modification,in which the active components,pore size,and phase structure can be *** review will discuss the potential of using industrial solid wastes,these modified materials,or synthesized materials from raw waste precursors for the removal of air pollutants,including SO_(2),NO_(x),Hg^(0),H_(2)S,VOCs,and CO_(2).The challenges still need to be addressed to realize this potential and the prospects for future research *** suggestions for future directions include determining the optimal composition of these materials,calculating the real reaction rate and turnover frequency,developing effective treatment methods,and establishing chemical component databases of raw industrial solid waste for catalysts/adsorbent preparation.

Development of Cu-based complex electrocatalysts is more easily to achieve a high activity and selectivity for reducing CO to multi-carbon hydrocarbons, exploring the synergistic effect between Cu and other materials may help the design of high efficient catalysts. This paper reports an impact factor for synergistic effect between Cu and nitrogen doped carbon(NC) support by comparing CO reduction reaction(CO RR) performances on MOFs-derived Cu-NC catalysts obtained by calcining N-containing benzimidazole(BEN) modified Cu-BTC(1, 3, 5-benzenetricarboxylic acid) MOFs(BEN-Cu-BTC) at different temperatures. The characterization and experimental results indicate that high contents of pyrrolic-N and pyridinic-N doped carbon support formation at low annealing temperature can facilitate the C-product generation on Cu surface, with the faradaic efficiency for ethylene(11%) and ethanol(18%) achieving at-1.01 V(vs. reversible hydrogen electrode), while high contents of graphitic-N or N-free samples show a completely different features. This means that the catalytic activity on MOFs-derived Cu-NC catalyst can be controlled by N-types changes dominating of annealing temperatures, offering a new tack for designing highly selective complex catalysts.

Treadmill exercise in combination with acousto-optic and olfactory stimulation improves cognitive function in APP/PS1 mice through the brain-derived neurotrophic factor-and Cygb-associated signaling pathways

A reduction in adult neurogenesis is associated with behavioral abnormalities in patients with Alzheimer's ***,enhancing adult neurogenesis represents a promising therapeutic approach for mitigating disease symptoms and ***,nonpharmacological interventions aimed at inducing adult neurogenesis are currently *** individual non-pharmacological interventions,such as aerobic exercise,acousto-optic stimulation,and olfactory stimulation,have shown limited capacity to improve neurogenesis and cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease,the therapeutic effect of a strategy that combines these interventions has not been fully *** this study,we observed an age-dependent decrease in adult neurogenesis and a concurrent increase in amyloid-beta accumulation in the hippocampus of amyloid precursor protein/presenilin 1 mice aged 2-8 *** deposition became evident at 4 months,while neurogenesis declined by 6 months,further deteriorating as the disease ***,following a 4-week multifactor stimulation protocol,which encompassed treadmill running(46 min/d,10 m/min,6 days per week),40 Hz acousto-optic stimulation(1 hour/day,6 days/week),and olfactory stimulation(1 hour/day,6 days/week),we found a significant increase in the number of newborn cells(5'-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-positive cells),immature neurons(doublecortin-positive cells),newborn immature neurons(5'-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-positive/doublecortin-positive cells),and newborn astrocytes(5'-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-positive/glial fibrillary acidic protein-positive cells).Additionally,the amyloid-beta load in the hippocampus *** findings suggest that multifactor stimulation can enhance adult hippocampal neurogenesis and mitigate amyloid-beta neuropathology in amyloid precursor protein/presenilin 1 ***,cognitive abilities were improved,and depressive symptoms were alleviated in amyloid precursor protein/presenilin 1 mice

Metastable seed-crystals: epitaxial growth of branched-array organic heterostructure nanowires

Tunable light–matter interactions are exhibited by organic low-dimensional crystals, making these crystals a promising platform for organic photonics. However, the precise synthesis of organic low-dimensional crystals remains challenging due to the stochastic nature of molecular nucleation processes. Herein, the directed nucleation process is driven by the introduction of metastable seed-crystals as the trunk, which ultimately leads to branched-array organic heterostructures. The successful formation of organic heterostructures with high-density branched arrays is attributed to the highest attachment energy (Eatt（023）=-104.25 kcal mol-1) of the exposed （023） crystal plane during the seed-crystal growth route. Significantly, these as-prepared heterostructures inherently have an ultralow lattice mismatch ratio η of 0.7%between trunk and branch, which contributes to the multi-channel photon transportation. Therefore, this work provides valuable insights into a versatile synthetic strategy for accessing low-dimensional heterostructures for integrated optoelectronics.

The first N-heterocyclic carbene-catalyzed enantioselective dearomatizing annulation of benzoxazoleswith α,β-unsaturated aldehydes has been achieved. The reaction was found to be compatible with a widerange of benzoxazoles and the corresponding dearomatized fused heterocycles were obtained in moderate to good yields and moderate to excellent enantioselectivities.

在雾等恶劣天气条件下,道路交通场景中视线变差,严重影响道路交通安全。因此,如何实现雾天道路交通场景的视觉增强一直是中外相关领域的研究热点。通过对一典型雾天交通场景图像进行分析,采用HSL色彩空间直方图方法、FFT频谱分析方法、小波多尺度子空间能量分布分析等方法,分析并比较了原图、天空区域子图、交通标志子图的特性。提取了反映雾天照明强度和交通标志的有效特征,为天空区域和交通标志的自动分离、雾天交通图像的照明强度的自动估计及雾天交通场景图像的视觉增强和恢复奠定了坚实的基础。

Denaturation behavior of inclusions in industrial pure iron by calcium treatment

Only a few Chinese enterprises can produce high-quality industrial pure iron,and studies on the smelting process of industrial pure iron were *** inclusions in a melting process were characterized by means of electron microscopy and an automatic inclusion analysis system,and the evolution mechanism of inclusion was studied using thermodynamic calculation to optimize the calcium alloy addition in liquid *** results show that during the smelting process,inclusions mainly composed of Al_(2)O_(3)and spinel are formed before calcium *** calcium treatment,they continuously react with[Ca],[S]and[Ti],grow up,and are removed during refining and tundish *** the end,there are more small-sized inclusions containing CaS,and the contents of Al_(2)O_(3)and spinel are *** to thermodynamic calculations,the appropriate calcium treatment liquid window for the molten steel composition is(10-38)×10^(-6).Calcium treatment has changed the main types of inclusions in industrial pure iron from Al_(2)O_(3)to small-sized inclusions containing CaS and effectively reduces the influence of Al_(2)O_(3)inclusions on the quality of industrial pure iron.

Heat Flux Through Slag Film and Its Crystallization Behavior

An experimental apparatus for simulating copper mold is used to quantify the heat flux through the slag film and to obtain a solid slag for further determining its crystallization behavior. The result indicates that both the chemical composition of the mold powder and the cooling rate have an important influence on the heat flux through the slag film. With increasing the binary basicity, the heat flux of slag film decreases at first, reaches the minimum at the basicity of 1.4, and then increases, indicating that the maximum binary basicity is about 1.4 for selecting ＂mild cooling＂ mold powder. The heat transfer through the slag film can be specified in terms of the crystalline ratio and the thickness of the slag film. Recrystallization of the solid slag occurs and must be considered as an important factor that may influence the heat transfer through the solid slag layer.

Mn evaporation and denitrification behaviors of molten Mn steel in the vacuum refining with slag process

Considering the precise composition control on the vacuum refining of high-Mn steel, the behaviors of both Mn evaporation and nitrogen removal from molten Mn steel were investigated via vacuum slag refining in a vacuum induction furnace. It was found that the reaction interfaces of denitrification and Mn evaporation tend to migrate from the surface of slag layer to the surface of molten steel with the gradual exposure of molten steel during the vacuum slag refining process. Significantly, compared with the experimental group without slag addition, the addition of slag into steel can result in a lower Mn evaporation rate constant of 0.0192 cm·min~(-1) at 370 Pa, while the denitrification rate is almost not affected. Besides, the slag has a stronger inhibitory effect on Mn evaporation than the reduced vacuum pressure. Moreover, the inhibitory effect of the slag layer on Mn evaporation can be weakened with the increase of the initial Mn content in molten steel. The slag layer can work as an inhibitory layer to reduce the Mn evaporation from molten steel, the evaporation reaction of Mn mainly proceeds on the surface of the molten steel. This may be attributed to the Mn mass transfer coefficient for one of reaction at steel/slag interface, mass transfer in molten slag, and evaporation reaction at slag/gas interface is lower than that of evaporation reaction at steel/gas interface. The introduction of slag is proposed for both denitrification and manganese control during the vacuum refining process of Mn steels.
