Innovative Mn3-xO4-y@NCA design:Leveraging Mn/O vacancies and amorphous architecture for enhanced sodium-ion storage

Manganese-based oxide electrode materials suffer from severe Jahn-Teller（J-T） distortion,leading to severe cycle instability in sodium ion ***,it is difficult to adjust the electron at d orbitals exactly to a low spin state to eliminate orbital degeneracy and suppress J-T distortion *** article constructed concentration-controllable Mn/O coupled vacancy and amorphous network in Mn3O4and coated it with nitrogen-doped carbon aerogel(Mn3-xO4-y@NCA).The existence of Mn/O vacancies has been confirmed by scanning transmission electron microscopy（STEM） and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy（PALS）.Atomic absorption spectroscopy（AAS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） determine the most optimal ratio of Mn/O vacancies for sodium ion storage is 1.*** functional theory（DFT） calculations prove that Mn/O coupled vacancies with the ratio of 1.2could exactly induce a low spin states and a d4electron configuration of Mn,suppressing the J-T distortion *** abundant amorphous regions can shorten the transport distance of sodium ions,increase the electrochemically active sites and improve the pseudocapacitance *** the synergetic effect of Mn/O coupled vacancies and amorphous regions,Mn3-xO4-y@NCA exhibits an energy density of 37.5 W h kg-1.nd an ultra-high power density of 563 W kg-1.n an asymmetric *** sodium-ion batteries,it demonstrates high reversible capacity and exceptional cycling *** research presents a new method to improve the Na+storage performance in manganese-based oxide,which is expected to be generalized to other structural distortion.

Two polyoxovanadoborates with over 1.0 nuclei assembled from a {V_(1.)Co_(1.)B_(72)} cluster

Combining theoretical prediction and experimental exploration, the first sandwich-type polyoxovanadoborate(POVB) with an odd number of nuclei, [V_(1.)B_(26)O_(73)(OH)_(1.)]^(8-)(1., was discovered under hydrothermal conditions. Density-functional theory(DFT)gives a rationalization for the existence of this structure and the structural feature is consistent with the {V_NB_(2N+X)}(X = 2, 4, 6, 8)general formula. Excitingly, when Co and 1.1.-phenanthroline(phen) are introduced into the synthesis of vanadoborates system,a 1.0-nuclei [Co_6(phen)_(1.)(H_(2)O)_8][V_(1.)Co_(1.)B_(72)O_(1.4)(OH)_(20)]·28H_(2)O(2) and a 1.2-nuclei [Co_6(phen)_(1.)(H_(2)O)_(4)][V_(1.)Co_(1.)B_(72)O_(1.4)(OH)_(20)]·23H_(2)O(3) with the same core structure of [V_(1.)Co_(1.)B_(72)]^(1.-)are obtained. The vase-shaped [V_(1.)Co_(1.)B_(72)] polyanion is a multilayered sandwich-type structure containing seven distinct structural layers and is the largest known POVB. Furthermore, 2demonstrates exceptional thermal and chemical stability and serves as an efficient and stable catalyst for the photoreduction of carbon dioxide.

Photocatalytic activation of sulfite by N-doped porous biochar/MnFe_(2)O_(4) interface-driven catalyst for efficient degradation of tetracycline

A novel photo-catalytic system composed of N-doped biochars(NBCs),MnFe_(2)O_(4) and sulfite activation under ultraviolet(NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4)/sulfite/UV)was constructed to realize the efficient eliminate of tetracycline(TC).As the carrier of MnFe_(2)O_(4),NBCs were synthesized from alfalfa,which has large specific surface area,graphite like structure and hierarchical porous *** adsorption isotherm indicated that NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4)-2:1.had the best adsorption performance for TC(347.56 mg g^(-1.).Through synergistic adsorption and photocatalysis,the removal rate of TC reached 84%,which was significantly higher than that of MnFe_(2)O_(4).Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and Photoluminescence(PL)characterization results showed that the introduction of NBCs improved the separation efficiency of photogenerated electron and hole pairs and enhanced the photocatalytic ***,the adsorption,degradation mechanism and degradation path of TC by the catalyst were systematically analyzed by coupling HPLC–MS measurement with the theoretical *** the advantages of excellent degradation performance,low cost,easy separation and environmental friendliness of NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4),this work was expected to provide a new path for the practical application of biochar.

Metal complexes of bipyridine-functionalized covalent organic frameworks as efficient electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction

Electrocatalytic water splitting is considered a clean and practic al method for producing *** this study,COF-Bpy,a bipyridine-functionalized covalent organic framework(COF),was prepared via post-synthetic modification,after which electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reactions(OER)were formed through coordination to single-or double-transition metals(Fe,Co,Ni,FeCo,FeNi or CoNi).COF-Bpy@FeNi delivered the best OER performance among the studied electrocatalysts,with an overpotential of 399 mV at 1. mA·cm^(-2)in an alkaline electrolyte(1.0 mol·L^(-1.KOH aqueous).Notably,the electrocatalytic performance of COF-Bpy@FeNi showed slight degradation during durability testing,which is ascribable to its irreversible benzoquinoline structure and strong metal *** expected,COF-Bpy@FeNi exhibited a low overpotential of 347 mV at a turnover frequency(TOF)of 0.1.s^(-1.,which suggests that COF-Bpy@FeNi possesses excellent intrinsic electroc atalytic OER ***,density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the Ni site plays a major role,while the Fe site adjusts the electronic structure of the Ni ions,which rationalizes the excellent OER properties of COF-Bpy@*** study not only provides a simple and efficient method for complexing COFs with transition metals,but also offers a novel strategy for designing porous organic polymer electrocatalysts.

Pancreatic lipomatous hamartoma(PLH), a distinct variant of pancreatic hamartoma, is always easily misdiagnosed as other pancreatic tumors with lipomatous components, including pancreatic lipoma, liposarcoma, teratoma and malignant tumors with fatty degeneration. Here, we report a case of laparoscopic enucleation for the pancreatic head lipomatous hamartoma and provide new treatment strategies for surgeons who encounter similar diseases in the future.

TOPK Inhibition Enhances the Sensitivity of Colorectal Cancer Cells to Radiotherapy by Reducing the DNA Damage Response
