SEFormer:A Lightweight CNN-Transformer Based on Separable Multiscale Depthwise Convolution and Efficient Self-Attention for Rotating Machinery Fault Diagnosis

Traditional data-driven fault diagnosis methods depend on expert experience to manually extract effective fault features of signals,which has certain ***,deep learning techniques have gained prominence as a central focus of research in the field of fault diagnosis by strong fault feature extraction ability and end-to-end fault diagnosis ***,utilizing the respective advantages of convolution neural network(CNN)and Transformer in local and global feature extraction,research on cooperating the two have demonstrated promise in the field of fault ***,the cross-channel convolution mechanism in CNN and the self-attention calculations in Transformer contribute to excessive complexity in the cooperative *** complexity results in high computational costs and limited industrial *** tackle the above challenges,this paper proposes a lightweight CNN-Transformer named as SEFormer for rotating machinery fault ***,a separable multiscale depthwise convolution block is designed to extract and integrate multiscale feature information from different channel dimensions of vibration ***,an efficient self-attention block is developed to capture critical fine-grained features of the signal from a global ***,experimental results on the planetary gearbox dataset and themotor roller bearing dataset prove that the proposed framework can balance the advantages of robustness,generalization and lightweight compared to recent state-of-the-art fault diagnosis models based on CNN and *** study presents a feasible strategy for developing a lightweight rotating machinery fault diagnosis framework aimed at economical deployment.

A robust statistical prediction model for late-summer heavy precipitation days in North China

Recently,heavy precipitation(HP)events have occurred frequently in North China(NC),causing devastating economic losses and human ***,the short-term climate prediction of HP is quite *** year-to-year increment(DY)method and sliding correlations,we developed a robust seasonal prediction model for late-summer HP days(HPDs)in NC during 1982–2022,utilizing three independent predictors—February sea surface temperature(SST)in the Indian Ocean(SST_IO),February snow depth over North Asia(SDE_NA),and May melted snow depth in NC(MSDE_NC).The SST_IO anomalies affect NC's precipitation through the Pacific-Japan *** SDE_NA anomalies are associated with East Asian anomalous anticyclone by southeastern propagation of Rossby wave at *** MSDE_NC anomalies are followed by vertical motion and moisture anomalies in situ and thereby cause precipitation *** prediction model can well simulate the variations of the HPDs,with a correlation coefficient(CC)of 0.81(0.65)between the observed and predicted HPDs_DY(HPDs_anomaly).The percentage with the same sign for 15 extreme HPDs_anomaly years(PSSE)is 100%.Moreover,in the cross-validation test during 1982–2022,the PSSE for HPDs_anomaly is as high as 100%,along with a low rootmean-square error of *** independent hindcasts during 2013–2022,the CC between the observed and predicted HPDs_DY(HPDs_anomaly)is 0.93(0.83),together with high Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency(0.82)and agreement index(0.89).Specifically,the predictions are broadly consistent with the observations for 2015,2016,2017,2021,and 2022,reflecting excellent performance of this prediction model of HPDs in NC.

Preparation and performance of highly conductive polypyrrole-modified basalt fiber

Basalt fibers (BF) possess outstanding mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability, making them widely utilized in various sectors of the national economy. However, due to the insulating nature of basalt fibers, their application in areas such as electromagnetic shielding and electrostatic protection is limited. The investigation introduces a method for preparing conductive basalt fibers, which not only enhances the conductivity of basalt fibers but also improves the tensile strength. It is an efficient, low-cost, and environmentally friendly preparation method. The method utilizes pyrrole monomers (Py), iron chloride oxidant (FeCl3), and the dopant sodium 5-sulfosalicylate (NaSSA) as raw materials. Conductive polypyrrole (PPy) is deposited on the surface of basalt fibers through in-situ polymerization. Different concentrations of Py, FeCl3 and NaSSA are investigated as parameters to study their effects on the conductivity of basalt fibers. Through the in-situ polymerization method, basalt fibers gradually change from brown to black, with a uniform, stable, and thick polypyrrole coating on the surface. The polypyrrole particles exhibit a high doping level, bipolaron ratio, and conjugated chain length, indicating a well-defined structure. In terms of electrical conductivity, the resistance of polypyrrole-modified basalt fibers decreases to a minimum of 8×10−3 Ω·cm, demonstrating excellent conductivity after modification. In terms of mechanical properties, the tensile strength of the fibers is maximally increased by 20.6%, highlighting the significant advantages of the method in preserving fiber structure and enhancing fiber mechanical performance. It was verified by variability analysis and Weibull distribution modeling. 针对金鸡滩煤矿坚硬厚煤层赋存条件,提出了8.2 m超大采高一次采全厚开采方法,分析了超大采高工作面液压支架与围岩的强度、刚度、稳定性耦合关系及控制方法,研制了ZY21000/38/82D型超大采高液压支架及新结构。基于液压支架与围岩耦合作用关系,采用理论分析与数值模拟方法研究了超大采高液压支架合理工作阻力确定的"双因素"控制法;通过建立脆性坚硬厚煤层煤壁片帮的"拉裂-滑移"力学模型,得出了控制煤壁片帮发生滑移失稳的液压支架临界护帮力;分析了销轴铰接间隙对超大采高液压支架稳定性的影响及控制方法。通过创新研制大缸径抗冲击双伸缩立柱、三级协动护帮装置等新结构,保证了超大采高液压支架与围岩系统的稳定性控制。

Locations around the equator provide unique habitats for microalgae presumably with exceptional *** develop microalga-derived product systems,we previously created a(sub)tropical microalgal *** this study,two Chlorella strains(MEM176 and MEM193),adaptive to typical tropical climate,were isolated from the *** production performance was evaluated where both strains showed a robust growth in high temperatures and light ***,the strains MEM176 and MEM193 produced 503.6-mg/(L·d)and 411.3-mg/(L·d)biomass,respectively,with high contents of *** commercial and nutritional values were emphasized by amino acid compositions(e.g.,proline,valine,and phenylalanine).Particularly,higher amounts of proline were revealed in MEM176(47.9 mg/g dry biomass(DW))and MEM193(47.9 and 59.2 mg/g DW)than available commercial *** with MEM193,MEM176 produced 129.7%more lipids in which unsaturated fatty acids(particularly linoleic acid andα-linolenic acid)account for 65%of the total ***,it is promising to explore the potential of these Chlorella strains as food additives via outdoor cultivation in tropical area,notably MEM176 that exhibits superiority as sources of essential amino acids and valuable fatty acids.

Explaining the better generalization of label distribution learning for classification

Label distribution learning (LDL) has shown advantages over traditional single-label learning (SLL) in many realworld applications, but its superiority has not been theoretically understood. In this paper, we attempt to explain why LDL generalizes better than SLL. Label distribution has rich supervision information such that an LDL method can still choose the sub-optimal label from label distribution even if it neglects the optimal one. In comparison, an SLL method has no information to choose from when it fails to predict the optimal label. The better generalization of LDL can be credited to the rich information of label distribution. We further establish the label distribution margin theory to prove this explanation; inspired by the theory,we put forward a novel LDL approach called LDL-LDML. In the experiments, the LDL baselines outperform the SLL ones, and LDL-LDML achieves competitive performance against existing LDL methods, which support our explanation and theories in this paper.
