BACKGROUND At present,immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)remain the 1st-line therapy me-thod for patients suffering from high microsatellite instability/deficient misma-tch repair metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC).However,ICI treatments demon-strate minimal therapeutic efficacy against microsatellite stable(MSS)/proficient mismatch repair(pMMR)*** is mainly because this type of tumor is a“cold tumor”with almost no lymphocyte ***-angiogenic drugs have been found to improve the immune microenvironment by promoting many immune cells to enter the immune microenvironment,thereby exerting anti-tumor *** To investigate the effects of ICIs combined with bevacizumab monoclonal anti-body on tumor immune cells in MSS/pMMR advanced CRC patients with first-line treatment *** A total of 110 MSS/pMMR patients with advanced CRC after first-line treatment failure in the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University were enrolled for a ran-domized controlled *** short,patients in the experimental group(n=60)were given sintilimab plus bevacizumab for 4 cycles,and those in the control group(n=50)patients were treated with FOLFIRI combined with bevacizumab for 4 *** expression levels of cluster of differentiation(CD)8(+)T cells,tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs),and cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)were comprehensively evaluated to assess the effects of sintilimab combined with bevacizumab on MSS/pMMR advanced CRC sufferers following failure of 1st-line *** The positive expression rates of CD8(+)T lymphocytes(30%vs 50%),TAMs(23.30%vs 60%),and CAFs(23.30%vs 50%)before and after treatment in both groups exhibited statistical significance(P<0.05).Additionally,the therapeutic effects of both groups(partial remission:26.67%vs 10%;objective response rate:26.70%vs 10%)were significantly different(P<0.05).Although the experimental group showed a higher progression-free survival,median progression-free survival,and disease control rate

Association of HER2 status with prognosis in gastric cancer patients undergoing R0 resection: A large-scale multicenter study in China

AIM: To determine whether the positive status of human epidermal growth receptor 2(HER2) can be regarded as an effective prognostic factor for patients with gastric cancer(GC) undergoing R0 ***: A total of 1562 GC patients treated by R0 resection were recruited. HER2 status was evaluated in surgically resected samples of all the patients using immunohistochemical(IHC) staining. Correlations between HER2 status and clinicopathological characteristics were retrospective analyzed. Hazard ratios(HRs) and 95% confidence intervals(CIs) were estimated using Cox proportional hazard model, stratified by age, gender, tumor location and tumor-nodemetastasis(TNM) stage, with additional adjustment for potential prognostic ***: Among 1562 patients, 548(positive rate = 35.08%, 95%CI: 32.72%-37.45%) were HER2 positive. Positive status of HER2 was significantly correlated with gender(P = 0.004), minority(P marginally statistically significant associations both in disease free survival and overall survival, especially among patients aged < 60 years or with early TNM stages(Ⅰ and Ⅱ). Categorical age, TNM stage, neural invasion, and adjuvant chemotherapy were, as expected, independent prognostic factors for both disease free survival and overall survival. CONCLUSION: The positive status of HER2 based on IHC staining was not related to the survival in patients with GC among the Chinese population.

Staged dendrite suppression for high safe and stable lithium-sulfur batteries

The unavoidable dendrite growth and shuttle effect have long been stranglehold challenges limiting the safety and practicality of lithium-sulfur ***,we propose a dual-action strategy to address the lithium dendrite issue in stages by constructing a multifunctional surface-negatively-charged nanodiamond layer with high ductility and robust puncture resistance on polypropylene （PP） *** uniformly loaded compact negative layer can not only significantly enhance electron transmission efficiency and promote uniform lithium deposition,but also reduce the formation of dendrite during early deposition *** importantly,under the strong puncture stress encountered during the deterioration of lithium dendrite growth under limiting current,the high ductility and robust puncture resistance（145.88 MPa） of as-obtained nanodiamond layer can effectively prevent short circuits caused by unavoidable lithium *** Li||Li symmetrical cells assembled with nanodiamond layer modified PP demonstrated a stable cycle of over 1000 h at 2 ma cm-2with a polarization voltage of only 29.3 ***,the negative charged layer serves as a physical barrier blocking lithium polysulfide ions,effectively mitigating capacity *** improved cells achieved a capacity decay of only 0.042%per cycle after 700 cycles at 3 C,demonstrating effective suppression of dendrite growth and capacity attenuation,showing promising prospect.

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

Vector meson's spin alignments in high energy reactions

The global spin alignment of vector mesons has been observed by the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider （RHIC） at Brookhaven National Laboratory （BNL）.It provides a unique opportunity to probe the correlation between the polarized quark and antiquark in the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma （sQGP） produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions,opening a new window to explore the properties of s *** addition,spin alignments of vector mesons have also been observed in other high-energy particle collisions such as e+e-annihilations at high energies where hadron production is dominated by quark fragmentation *** results obtained are quite different from those obtained in heavy ion collisions where quark coalescence/combination mechanism dominates suggesting strong dependence on hadronization *** comprehensive studies in different hadronization processes are *** this article,we present a brief review of theoretical and experimental advances in the study of vector meson’s spin alignments in a variety of high-energy particle collisions,with emphasis on hadronization mechanisms.

以《高师理科学刊》2012—2016年刊载的1 381篇论文的引文为研究对象,对引文的类型、语种、年代分布及普赖斯指数等进行统计分析.结果表明,5年发表论文的总引文量10 943条,引文率99.93%,篇均引文7.92条;引文类型多样,其中期刊74.45%,图书20.12%;引文的语种主要是中文,其次是英文,分别占83.33%和16.67%;自引率2.15%;普赖斯指数38.58%.通过对引文的量化分析,了解该刊引用文献的规律和吸收利用信息的能力,为提高办刊质量提供参考.

Postnatal development of rat retina:a continuous observation and comparison between the organotypic retinal explant model and in vivo development

The organotypic retinal explant culture has been established for more than a decade and offers a range of unique advantages compared with in vivo experiments and cell ***,the lack of systematic and continuous comparison between in vivo retinal development and the organotypic retinal explant culture makes this model controversial in postnatal retinal development ***,we aimed to verify the feasibility of using this model for postnatal retinal development studies by comparing it with the in vivo *** this study,we showed that postnatal retinal explants undergo normal development,and exhibit a consistent structure and timeline with retinas in ***,we used SOX2 and PAX6 immunostaining to identify retinal progenitor *** then examined cell proliferation and migration by immunostaining with Ki-67 and doublecortin,***-67-and doublecortin-positive cells decreased in both in vivo and explants during postnatal retinogenesis,and exhibited a high degree of similarity in abundance and distribution between ***,we used Ceh-10 homeodomain-containing homolog,glutamate-ammonia ligase(glutamine synthetase),neuronal nuclei,and ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 immunostaining to examine the emergence of bipolar cells,Müller glia,mature neurons,and microglia,*** timing and spatial patterns of the emergence of these cell types were remarkably consistent between in vivo and explant *** study showed that the organotypic retinal explant culture model had a high degree of consistency with the progression of in vivo early postnatal retina *** findings confirm the accuracy and credibility of this model and support its use for long-term,systematic,and continuous observation.
