Fractures interaction and propagation mechanism of multi-cluster fracturing on laminated shale oil reservoir

The continental shale reservoirs of Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation in Sichuan Basin contain thin lamina, which is characterized by strong plasticity and developed longitudinal shell limestone *** improve the production efficiency of reservoirs by multi-cluster fracturing, it is necessary to consider the unbalanced propagation of hydraulic fractures and the penetration effect of fractures. This paper constructed a numerical model of multi-fracture propagation and penetration based on the finite element coupling cohesive zone method; considering the construction cluster spacing, pump rate,lamina strength and other parameters studied the influencing factors of multi-cluster fracture interaction propagation; combined with AE energy data and fracture mode reconstruction method, quantitatively characterized the comprehensive impact of the strength of thin interlayer rock interfaces on the initiation and propagation of fractures that penetrate layers, and accurately predicted the propagation pattern of hydraulic fractures through laminated shale oil reservoirs. Simulation results revealed that in the process of multi-cluster fracturing, the proportion of shear damage is low, and mainly occurs in bedding fractures activated by outer fractures. Reducing the cluster spacing enhances the fracture system's penetration ability, though it lowers the activation efficiency of lamina. The high plasticity of the limestone interlayer may impact the vertical propagation distance of the main fracture. Improving the interface strength is beneficial to the reconstruction of the fracture height, but the interface communication effect is limited. Reasonable selection of layers with moderate lamina strength for fracturing stimulation, increasing the pump rate during fracturing and setting the cluster spacing reasonably are beneficial to improve the effect of reservoir stimulation.

Intracrustal low-velocity zones(LVZs)indicate a mechanically weak crust and are widely observed in the southeast margin of the Tibetan ***,their spatial distributions and formation mechanisms remain *** investigate their distribution and detailed morphology of the LVZs in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau,here we used teleseismic events and continuous waveform data recorded by 40 broadband seismic stations newly deployed in the Sichuan-Yunnan region from December 2018 to October 2020.A total of 12,924 high-quality P-wave receiver functions and 5–40 s fundamental Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity dispersion curves from ambient noise cross-correlation functions were *** Swave velocity model at a depth interval of 0–100 km in the study area was inverted by using the trans-dimensional Markov chain Monte Carlo strategy to jointly invert the complementary data of the receiver function waveform and Rayleigh surface wave phase velocity *** results show that there are two separate LVZs(~3.5 km/s)surrounding the rigid Daliangshan subblock at crustal depths of approximately 30–40 km,providing new constraints on the geometry of the LVZs in our study *** two LVZs obtained in this study may represent the middle crustal flow channels,through which the material in the center of the Tibetan Plateau extrudes to its southeast *** by the rigid Sichuan Basin and the spindle-like Daliangshan subblock,the material continues to flow southward through the mechanically weak middle crustal channels surrounding the Daliangshan *** addition,the existence of thin LVZs in the middle crust plays an important role in understanding the decoupling between the upper and lower crust in the study *** also provides new constraint on the complex tectonic deformation process of the southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau caused by the collision and compression of the Indian and the Eurasian plates.

The great potentials of massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO)in Frequency division Duplex(FDD)mode can be fully exploited when the downlink Channel State Information(CSI)is available at base ***,the accurate CsI is difficult to obtain due to the large amount of feedback overhead caused by massive *** this paper,we propose a deep learning based joint channel estimation and feedback framework,which comprehensively realizes the estimation,compression,and reconstruction of downlink channels in FDD massive MIMO *** networks are constructed to perform estimation and feedback explicitly and *** explicit network adopts a multi-Signal-to-Noise-Ratios(SNRs)technique to obtain a single trained channel estimation subnet that works well with different SNRs and employs a deep residual network to reconstruct the channels,while the implicit network directly compresses pilots and sends them back to reduce network *** module is also designed to generate data-bearing *** results show that the two proposed networks exhibit excellent performance of reconstruction and are robust to different environments and quantization errors.

The rapid development of ultrafast ultraintense laser technology continues to create opportunities for studying strong-field physics under extreme ***,accurate determination of the spatial and temporal characteristics of a laser pulse is still a great challenge,especially when laser powers higher than hundreds of terawatts are *** this paper,by utilizing the radiative spin-flip effect,we find that the spin depolarization of an electron beam can be employed to diagnose characteristics of ultrafast ultraintense lasers with peak intensities around 10^(20)–10^(22) W/cm^(2).With three shots,our machine-learning-assisted model can predict,simultaneously,the pulse duration,peak intensity,and focal radius of a focused Gaussian ultrafast ultraintense laser(in principle,the profile can be arbitrary)with relative errors of 0.1%–10%.The underlying physics and an alternative diagnosis method(without the assistance of machine learning)are revealed by the asymptotic approximation of the final spin degree of *** proposed scheme exhibits robustness and detection accuracy with respect to fluctuations in the electron beam *** measurements of ultrafast ultraintense laser parameters will lead to much higher precision in,for example,laser nuclear physics investigations and laboratory astrophysics *** machine learning techniques may also find applications in more general strong-field physics scenarios.

This study aims to conduct a cost-effectiveness analysis of three different anesthesia strategies,namely chatting while under local anesthesia(Chat-LA),total intravenous anesthesia(TIVA),and general anesthesia with laryngeal mask airway(GA-LMA),employed in transperineal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)/ultrasound(US)fusion prostate biopsy(TP-MUF-PB).A retrospective study was conducted involving 1202 patients who underwent TP-MUF-PB from June 2016 to April 2023 at The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University(Suzhou,China).Clinical data and outcomes,including total costs,complications,and quality-adjusted life years(QALYs),were *** sensitivity and subgroup analyses were also ***-LA was found to be the most cost-effective option,outperforming both TIVA and ***,subgroup analyses revealed that in younger patients(under 65 years old)and those with smaller prostate volumes(<40 ml),TIVA emerged as a more cost-effective *** Chat-LA may generally be the most cost-effective and safer anesthesia method for TP-MUF-PB,personalization of anesthesia strategies is crucial,considering specific patient demographics such as age and prostate volume.

Thermoelectric materials possess the unique capability to convert thermal energy into electric energy and vice versa, making them promising for waste heat recovery and efficient cooling systems. Currently, extensively investigated thermoelectric materials such as Bi2Te3,PbTe and GeTe exhibit superior thermoelectric properties at room temperature and medium temperature ***, the broad application of these thermoelectric materials has been impeded by the high cost and restricted accessibility of Te and Ge in the earth's crust. Over the past few years, researchers have shown increasing interest in PbSe-and PbS-based materials, primarily attributed to their abundant elemental supply and relatively low costs. The assessment of research progress and a comprehensive overview of optimization strategies in time can significantly contribute to further improving the thermoelectric performance. These strategies include optimizing carrier concentration(aliovalent doping, dynamic doping and defect state), enhancing density-of-state effective mass(band convergence, band flattening and energy filtering effect), optimizing carrier mobility(band sharpening and band alignment) and reducing lattice thermal conductivity(all-scale hierarchical defect structures designing). This systematic summary and analysis provide novel insights and perspectives for the development of thermoelectric materials.
