Fur seal feces-associated circular DNA virus(FSfa CV)is an unclassified circular replication-associated protein(Rep)-encoding single-stranded(CRESS)DNA virus that has been detected in mammals(fur seals and pigs).The biology and epidemiology of the virus remain largely *** investigate the virus diversity among pigs in Anhui Province,China,we pooled 600 nasal samples in 2017 and detected viruses using viral metagenomic *** the assembled contigs,12 showed notably high nucleotide acid sequence similarities to the genome sequences of FSfa *** on these sequences,a full-length genome sequence of the virus was then obtained using overlapping PCR and sequencing,and the virus was designated as FSfa CV-CHN(Gen Bank ***462122).This virus shared 91.3%and 90.9%genome-wide nucleotide sequence similarities with the New Zealand fur seal strain FSfa CV-as50 and the Japanese pig strain FSfa CVJPN1,*** also clustered with the two previously identified FSfa CVs in a unique branch in the phylogenetic tree based on the open reading frame 2(ORF2),Rep-coding gene,and the genome of the reference CRESS DNA *** epidemiological investigation using samples collected in 2018 showed that the overall positive rate for the virus was 56.4%(111/197)in Anhui *** is the first report of FSfa CVs identified in pigs in China,and further epidemiological studies are warranted to evaluate the influence of the virus on pigs.

African swine fever(ASF)is a devastating infectious disease in swine that is severely threatening the global pig *** efficacious vaccine is urgently ***,we used the Chinese ASFV HLJ/18 as a backbone and generated a series of genedeleted *** virulence,immunogenicity,safety,and protective efficacy evaluation in specific-pathogen-free pigs,commercial pigs,and pregnant sows indicated that one virus,namely HLJ/18-7GD,which has seven genes deleted,is fully attenuated in pigs,cannot convert to the virulent strain,and provides complete protection of pigs against lethal ASFV *** study shows that HLJ/-18-7GD is a safe and effective vaccine against ASFV,and as such is expected to play an important role in controlling the spread of ASFV.

Dear Editor,As of June,2020,more than ten million cases of COVID-19 have been reported *** causative pathogen of the disease is a novel coronavirus named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)(World health Organization,2020).Animal infection models are important to characterize the infection,pathogenesis,and immunology of SARS・CoV・2,as well as for the development of medications and vaccines against *** are particularly attractive animal models for their identical genetic background,reliable reproducibility,well characterized biology,and the huge availability of research reagents and knockout *** in inbreed mice such as BALB/c and C57BL/6J(C57),which are widely used in research,are highly desired.

The H7 N9 influenza virus emerged in China in 2013,causing more than 1560 human infections,39% of which were fatal.A ’cytokine storm’ in the lungs of H7 N9 patients has been linked to a poor prognosis and death;however,the underlying mechanism that triggers the cytokine storm is ***,we found that efficient replication of the H7 N9 virus in mouse lungs activates gasdermin E(GSDME)-mediated pyroptosis in alveolar epithelial cells,and that the released cytosolic contents then trigger a cytokine *** of Gsdme switched the manner of death of A549 and human primary alveolar epithelial cells from pyroptosis to apoptosis upon H7 N9 virus infection,and Gsdme knockout mice survived H7 N9 virus lethal *** findings reveal that GSDME activation is a key and unique mechanism for the pulmonary cytokine storm and lethal outcome of H7 N9 virus infection and thus opens a new door for the development of antivirals against the H7 N9 virus.

Central nervous system diseases commonly occur with the destruction of the blood-brain *** a primary cause of morbidity and mortality,stroke remains unpredictable and lacks cellular biomarkers that accurately quantify its occurrence and ***,we identify NeuN^(+)/CD45^(−)/DAPI^(+)phenotype nonblood cells in the peripheral blood of mice subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)and stroke *** NeuN is a specific marker of neural cells,we term these newly identified cells as circulating neural cells(CNCs).We find that the enumeration of CNCs in the blood is significantly associated with the severity of brain damage in MCAO mice(phe number of CNCs is significantly higher in stroke patients than in negative subjects(phese findings suggest that the amount of CNCs in circulation may serve as a clinical indicator for the real-time prognosis and progression monitor of the occurrence and development of ischemic stroke and other nervous system disease.

The authors proposed a symplectic stereo-modeling method(SSM)in the Birkhoffian dynam-ics and apply it to the visco-acoustic least-squares reverse time migration(LSRTM).The SSM adopts ste-reo-modeling operator in space and symplectic Runge-Kutta scheme in time,resulting in great ability in suppressing numerical dispersion and long-time *** advantages are further confirmed by numerical dispersion analysis,long-time computation test and computational efficiency *** these theoretical analyses and experiments,acoustic and visco-acoustic LSRTM are tested and compared between SSM method and the conventional symplectic method(CSM)using the fault and marmousi ***,dynamic source encoding and exponential decay moving average gradients method are adopted to reduce the computation cost and improve the convergence *** imaging results show that LSRTM based on visco-acoustic wave equations effectively takes into account the influence of viscosity can therefore compensate for the amplitude ***,SSM method not only has high numerical accuracy and computational efficiency,but also performs effectively in LSRTM.

Minks are raised in many countries and have transmitted severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2) to ***,the biologic properties of SARS-CoV-2 in minks are largely ***,we investigated and found that SARS-CoV-2 replicates efficiently in both the upper and lower respiratory tracts,and transmits efficiently in minks via respiratory droplets;pulmonary lesions caused by SARS-CoV-2 in minks are similar to those seen in humans with *** further found that a spike protein-based subunit vaccine largely prevented SARS-CoV-2 replication and lung damage caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection in *** study indicates that minks are a useful animal model for evaluating the efficacy of drugs or vaccines against COVID-19 and that vaccination is a potential strategy to prevent minks from transmitting SARS-CoV-2.

为了研究大规模网络结构复杂性测度方法,并针对汽车行业站点网络布局与结构功能优化提出对策,基于万维网页面链接数据,构建汽车行业站点网络拓扑结构图.借助VOSviewer聚类算法及Gephi检测并划分网络社团结构,解析基于主题搜索的汽车行业站点内容分类体系及功能结构,并利用Pajek验证各内容社团结构的小世界性,基于Rand-ESU算法检测各社团的模体结构,提出基于模体的网络结构熵算法测度各社团的复杂性.最后,得出汽车行业站点网络社区中模体结构具有同构性,导致社区结构的信息传播功能具有相似性,模体规模与模体信息传播途径多样化对网络结构复杂性影响的显著性较高.
