Influences of spherical tree canopy on thermal radiation disturbance to exterior wall under the condition of no shade cast on the wall

Research on the influence of thermal radiation of tree canopies to adjacent exterior walls has relevance to the selection of tree species and the spatial arrangement of trees for urban planning.In the last decade,there have been many studies on the influence of tree shadows on the thermal environment and energy consumption of buildings.However,there is a lack of research on how trees affect the thermal radiation of adjacent buildings,when they do not cast direct shadows on the walls.In view of this,a combination of experiment and simulation was used to explore the influence of spherical canopy on the intensity changes of net long-wave thermal radiation(T_(RDL))and net short-wave thermal radiation(T_(RDS))absorbed by the adjacent wall.Both measured and simulated results show that the tree canopy has a T_(RD)(the sum of T_(RDL) and T_(RDS))effect on the south wall of adjacent buildings in summer.The peak of T_(RD) from the tree to the adjacent wall was obtained by ENVI-met under 27 scenarios.A functional relationship was further given between the peak T_(RD) and the canopy diameter(D_(C)),the minimum distance between wall and tree canopy(D_(W-T)).Moreover,the influence of D_(C),D_(W-T) and leaf area density(LAD)on T_(RD) was discussed by simulation.Additionally,the Trd of canopy decays exponentially in the horizontal direction and linearly in the vertical direction of the wall.The above methods and results can guide the selection of tree species,green space design around buildings and the evaluation of the influence of trees on indoor cooling energy consumption in summer.

Protective effects of VMY-2-95 on corticosterone-induced injuries in mice and cellular models

Nicotinicα4β2 receptor antagonists have drawn increasing attention in the development of new antidepressants.In this study,we aimed to investigate the protective effect of VMY-2-95,the new selective antagonist ofα4β2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor(nAChR)on corticosterone(CORT)injured mice and cellular models.Fluoxetine was applied as a positive control,and the effects of VMY-2-95 were investigated with three different doses or concentrations(1,3,10 mg/kg in mice,and 0.003,0.03,0.1μmol/L in cells).As a result,VMY-2-95 showed significant antidepressant-like effects in the CORT injured mice by improving neuromorphic function,promoting hippocampal nerve proliferation,and regulating the contents of monoamine transmitters.Meanwhile,VMY-2-95 exhibited protective effects on cell viability,cell oxidant,cell apoptosis,and mitochondrial energy metabolism on corticosterone-impaired SH-SY5 Y cells.Also,the PKA-CREB-BDNF signaling pathway was up-regulated by VMY-2-95 both in vitro and in vivo,and pathway blockers were also combined with VMY-2-95 to verify the effects furtherly.Therefore,we preliminarily proved that VMY-2-95 had protective effects in depressed mice and SH-SY5 Y cells against injuries induced by corticosterone.This work indicated that the application of VMY-2-95 is a potential pharmacological solution for depression.This study also supported the development ofα4β2 nAChR antagonists towards neuropsychiatric dysfunctions.

A Novel Movement Behavior Control Method for Carp Robot through the Stimulation of Medial Longitudinal Fasciculus Nucleus of Midbrain

Biological robot is a kind of creature controlled by human beings by applying intervention signals through control technology to regulate biological behavior.At present,the research on bio-robot mainly focuses on terrestrial mammals and insects,while the research on aquatic animal robot is less.Early studies have shown that the medial longitudinal fasciculus nucleus(NFLM)of carp midbrain was related to tail wagging,but the research has not been applied to the navigation control of the carp robot.The purpose of this study is to realize the quantitative control of the forward and steering behavior of the carp robot by NFLM electrical stimulation.Under the condition of no craniotomy,brain electrode was implanted into the NFLM of the carp midbrain,and the underwater control experiment was carried out by applying different electrical stimulation parameters.Using the ImageJ software and self-programmed,the forward motion speed and steering angle of steering motion of the carp robot before and after being stimulated were calculated.The experimental results showed for the carp robot that was induced the steering motion,the left and right steering motion of 30°to 150°could be achieved by adjusting the stimulation parameters,for the carp robot that was induced the forward motion,the speed of forward motion could be controlled to reach 100 cm/s.The research lays a foundation for the accurate control of the forward and steering motion of the aquatic animal robot.

Identification of Motor Nuclei in the Medulla Oblongata of Carp for Biological Control

Brain-controlled technology is the key technology in biological control,and the corresponding relationship between animal brain nuclei and motor behavior is the core.The purpose of this study was to explore the motor nuclei of the medulla oblongata in carp.The carps were subjected to electrical stimulation and chemical stimulation experiments,respectively,in the water-free state,and the effective chemical stimulation sites were injected with the pontamine sky blue solution.The brain tissue sections were obtained by paraffin tissue section technology and the neutral red staining method.By comparing the positions of the brain nuclei shown in earlier studies,the motor nerve nuclei in the medulla oblongata were identified.The brain electrode was implanted into the motor nucleus of the medulla oblongata,and the underwater control experiment and behavioral tests were carried out with different electrical stimulation parameters.The results showed that the abducens nucleus(NVI)was the motor nucleus that controls the ipsilateral steering,and the facial nucleus(NVII)was the motor nucleus that controls the forward movement.By adjusting the stimulation voltage and the stimulation pulse number,the carp can be stably controlled to achieve a left–right steering motion of 30°–180°and a forward motion of more than 80 cm/s.This study indicated that the quantitative control of the steering and forward behavior of the carp can be achieved by electrical stimulation of the NVI and NVII,which provided a certain experimental basis for the accurate control of the carp robot.

Reliability and validity of the Chinese version of spiritual needs questionnaire with 27 items (SpNQ-Ch-27) in cancer patients

Objective: To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Spiritual Needs Questionnaire with 27 items (SpNQ-Ch-27) for cancer patients.Methods: A total of 457 cancer patients in a tertiary hospital in Xinjiang from March to July in 2017 were investigated by using the SpNQ-Ch-27 and convenient sampling method.They were recruited to validate the discrimination,reliability,and validity of the scale.According to the odd and even questionnaire numbers,data were divided into two groups to do exploratory factor analysis group and confirmatory factor analysis,respectively.Results: SpNQ-Ch-27 included 27 items and six factors,which were extracted by using factor analysis.It could explain 63.08% of the total variance.The total scores of each dimension and the SpNQ-Ch-27 were highly correlated,and the correlation coefficient was from 0.58 to 0.78.For the CFA,the overall fitting ideal was x2/df=2.00,RMSEA =0.07,IFI =0.93,NFI =0.86,CFI =0.92,TLI =0.90;Cronbach's α =0.90;the dimensions of Cronbach's α =0.63-0.95;split-half reliability was 0.82,dimensions were 0.68-0.95.Conclusion: SpNQ-Ch-27 is applicable for Chinese cancer patients with better validity and higher internal consistency,and it can be used as a tool to assess the spiritual needs of cancer patients.

Research on two-step throttle characteristics of double-rotation valve port for hydraulic servo joint

The hydraulic robot with large output torque is widely used in industry,however,its precision is not high.In order to solve this problem,this paper presents a new structure of rotary valve with double-rotation valve port,which can improve the two-step throttle characteristics of the valve port,reduce the cavitation phenomenon of the valve port,and increase the output accuracy of the hydraulic servo joint.Firstly,the internal flow field of the rotary valve is simulated by using the sliding grid technology of FLUENT software,and the changing rule of the throttle position in the working process of the structure is analyzed.Secondly,compared with the simulation results of rotary valve with single-rotation valve port,it is shown that the two-step throttle characteristics of the structure are less affected by the change of the opening of the rotary valve,and the cavitation index of the joint valve port is reduced.Finally,the influence of the rotation speed of the valve core,oil supply pressure and key dimension of valve core on throttle characteristics of rotary valve have been analyzed.

Human pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors(PanNETs)are a rare,deadly tumor type that is sporadic or arises in the background of a hereditary syndrome.A critical genetic event in sporadic tumors is inactivation of the gene menin 1(MEN1)on chromosome 11,and indeed,PanNETs occur in patients with the hereditary syndrome multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1(MEN1)due to germline mutations in the gene.Here,we review the recent progress in the field of molecular genetics and therapeutic targets of PanNETs.The key genomic alterations,including MEN1,ATRX/DAXX,mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR),DNA damage and repair associated genes,vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR)and SSTRs,and epigenetic aberrations in PanNETs are discussed.In addition,the commonly used preclinical models for PanNETs are enumerated.
