To the Editor:Psoriatic arthritis(PsA)is a type of arthritic condition that occurs in patients with psoriasis.Early identification of patients at risk and the knowledge of risk factors is crucial for dermatologists.The Chinese Psoriasis Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Center(CPSDTC)registry database is a prospective,multicenter cohort study launched by the Peking University First Hospital in July 2020 to gather clinical information on Chinese patients with psoriasis.Our study aimed to report the clinical features of Chinese psoriatic patients using the Psoriasis Epidemiology Screening Tool(PEST)for the early referral of arthritis.

The development of efficient method to prepare poly(silyl ether)s(PSEs)is highly desirable.Herein,an environmentally sustainable copper-catalyzed dehydrocoupling polymerization was developed with good yields and high molecular weight(up to 48,400 of Mn and up to 97%yield).Monomers of different types(AB type or AA and BB type)are suitable to afford PSEs.The PSEs show good thermal stability and low glass-transition temperature.

Development of a model to simulate soil heavy metals lateral migration quantity based on SWAT in Huanjiang watershed,China

Lateral transportation of soil heavy metals in rainfall events could significantly increase the scope of pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a model with high accuracy to simulate the migration quantity of heavy metals. A model for heavy metal migration simulation was developed based on the SWAT(Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model. This model took into consideration the influence of soil p H value, soil particle size, runoff volume, sediment amount,concentration of water-soluble heavy metals dissolved in runoff and insoluble absorbed to the soil particles. This model was reasonable in Huanjiang watershed, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, south China, covering an area of 273 km^2. The optimal drainage area threshold was determined by analyzing the effects of watershed subdivision on the simulation results to ensure the simulation accuracy. The main conclusions of this paper were:(1) watershed subdivision could affect simulation migration quantity of heavy metals;(2) the quantity of heavy metals transported by sediment accounted for 97%–99% of the total migration quantity in the study watershed. Therefore, sediment played the most important role in heavy metal migration;(3) the optimal drainage area threshold percentage to ensure high simulation accuracy was determined to be 2.01% of the total watershed;(4) with the optimal threshold percentage, this model could simulate the migration quantity of As, Pb and Cd accurately at the total watershed and subwatershed level. The results of this paper were useful for identifying the key regions with heavy metal migration.

Furin is a pro-protein convertase that moves between the trans-Golgi network and cell surface in the secretory pathway.We have previously reported that cerebral overexpres-sion of furin promotes cognitive functions in mice.Here,by generating the brain-specific furin conditional knockout(ckO)mice,we investigated the role of furin in brain development.We found that furin deficiency caused early death and growth retardation.Magnetic resonance im-aging showed severe hydrocephalus.In the brain of furin cko mice,impaired ciliogenesis and the derangement of microtubule structures appeared along with the down-regulated expres-sion of RAB28,a ciliary vesicle protein.In line with the widespread neuronal loss,ependymal cell layers were damaged.Further proteomics analysis revealed that cell adhesion molecules including astrocyte-enriched ITGB8 and BCAR1 were altered in furin cKO mice;and astrocyte overgrowth was accompanied by the reduced expression of sox9,indicating a disrupted differ-entiation into ependymal cells.Together,whereas alteration of RAB28 expression correlated with the role of vesicle trafficking in ciliogenesis,dysfunctional astrocytes might be involved in ependymal damage contributing to hydrocephalus in furin ckO mice.The structural and mo-lecular alterations provided a clue for further studying the potential mechanisms of furin.

Biological yield indicates the potential for increasing yield.Leaf carbon metabolism plays an important role in the biomass accumulation of rapeseed(Brassica napus L.).Field experiments with the hybrid HZ62(with a conventional plant architecture)grown in 2016–2017,and HZ62 and accession 1301(with a compact plant architecture)grown in 2017–2018 were conducted to characterize the physiological and proteomic responses of leaf photosynthetic carbon metabolism to density and row spacing configurations.The densities were set at 15×10;ha^(-1)(D1),30×10^(4)ha^(-1)(D2),and 45×10^(4)ha^(-1)(D3)(main plot),with row spacings of 15 cm(R15),25 cm(R25),and 35 cm(R35)(subplot).Individual and plant population biomass accumulation was greatest at R25,R15,and R15 for D1,D2,and D3,respectively,for both genotypes.In comparison with D1 R25,the individual aboveground biomass of HZ62 decreased by60.2%,whereas the population biomass increased by 31.9%,and the individual biomass of genotype1301 decreased by 54.0%and the population biomass increased by 53.9%at D3 R15.Leaf carbon metabolic enzymes varied between genotypes at flowering stage.In contrast to D1 R25,at D3 R15 the activities of ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase(Rubisco)and sucrose phosphate synthase(SPS)and the contents of starch,sucrose and soluble sugars in leaves were significantly decreased in HZ62 and increased in genotype 1301.The activities of fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase(FBPase)decreased,in consistency with the abundance of fructose-bisphosphate aldolase in HZ62.In contrast,sucrose synthase(Su Sy)activity appeared to decrease in both genotypes,but a significant increase in abundance of a protein with sucrose synthase was found in the 1301 genotype by proteomic analysis.With increased density and reduced row spacing,the expression of most key proteins involved in carbon metabolism was elevated,and enzyme activity and carbon assimilate content were increased in 1301,whereas HZ62 showed the opposite trend,indicating that the compact plant type can accumulate mo

A low-cost low-power area-efficient receiver front-end prototype for X-band applications is presented.The front-end primarily consists of 3 blocks: a singleended input differential-output Low noise amplifier（LNA）,a double balanced down-converter, and Inter-frequency（IF） buffers providing single-ended output. Including are also Low dropout regulators（LDO） and Electrostatic discharge（ESD） protection circuits coinciding with the forgoing blocks. Local oscillator（LO） frequency is chosen such that output signal locates in L/S-band for extending subsequent applications. Experimentally exhibiting a conversion gain of around 44 dB with 7.5-dB Single-sideband（SSB）Noise figure（NF）, the front-end totally draws 24 m A from an external 3.3-V supply. Fabricated in a 65-nm CMOS technology, this compact receiver occupies an area of only0.22mm;.

This work focuses on analysis of microstructure morphology and crystallographic orientation for Ti-17 alloy during hot working.The results show that alpha phase and beta phase influence each other and there is a coordinate deformation between them.The non-uniform deformation is observed under small deformation conditions.The observing area can be divided into small deformation zone(area L)and large deformation zone(area H).Both alpha and beta phases remain the initial morphology,and they have better capability of coordinate deformation in area L,while coordinate capability is weak in area H in which alpha phase is globularized.Correspondingly,the Burgers orientation relations are well preserved in area L,but the orientation relations are more or less destroyed in area H.Dynamic recovery is the main mechanism of beta phase evolution when height reduction is lower.By contrast,the continuous dynamic recrystallization(CDRX)of beta phase gradually dominates the deformation pattern as the deformation increases.An uniformly globularized alpha structure is obtained under large deformation condition.The unsynchronized rotation of alpha phase aroundpole occurs during deformation,which leads to the uniform crystal structure inside the same alpha lamellae.This process is an important step of globularization of the lamellar structure.

Semiconductor photocatalytic technology has shown great prospects in converting solar energy into chemical energy to mitigate energy crisis and solve environmental pollution problems.The key issue is the development of high-efficiency photocatalysts.Various strategies in the state-of-the-art advancements,such as heterostructure construction,heteroatom doping,metal/single atom loading,and defect engineering,have been presented for the graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)-based nanocomposite catalysts to design their surface chemical environments and internal electronic structures to make them more suitable for different photocatalytic applications.In this review,nanoarchitecture design,synthesis methods,photochemical properties,potential photocatalytic applications,and related reaction mechanisms of the modified high-efficiency carbon nitride-based photocatalysts were briefly summarized.The superior photocatalytic performance was identified to be associated with the enhanced visible-light response,fast photoinduced electron-hole separation,efficient charge migration,and increased unsaturated active sites.Moreover,the further advance of the visible-light harvesting and solar-to-energy conversions are proposed.

Identifying factors that influence soil heavy metals by using categorical regression analysis:A case study in Beijing,China

Identifying the factors that influence the heavy metal contents of soil could reveal the sources of soil heavy metal pollution.In this study,a categorical regression was used to identify the factors that influence soil heavy metals.First,environmental factors were associated with soil heavy metal data,and then,the degree of influence of different factors on the soil heavy metal contents in Beijing was analyzed using a categorical regression.The results showed that the soil parent material,soil type,land use type,and industrial activity were the main influencing factors,which suggested that these four factors were important sources of soil heavy metals in Beijing.In addition,population density had a certain influence on the soil Pb and Zn contents.The distribution of soil As,Cd,Pb,and Zn was markedly influenced by interactions,such as traffic activity and land use type,industrial activity and population density.The spatial distribution of soil heavy metal hotspots corresponded well with the influencing factors,such as industrial activity,population density,and soil parent material.In this study,the main factors affecting soil heavy metals were identified,and the degree of their influence was ranked.A categorical regression represents a suitable method for identifying the factors that influence soil heavy metal contents and could be used to study the genetic process of regional soil heavy metal pollution.

MoCap(motion capture)-based animation is a hot issue in computer animation research currently.Based on the optical MoCap system,this paper proposes a novel cross-mapping based facial expression simulating method.To overcome the problem of the false upper and lower jaw correlation derived from the facial global RBFbased cross-mapping method,we construct a functional partition based RBF cross-mapping method.During model animating,enhanced markers are added and animated by our proposed skin motion mechanism.In addition,based on the enhanced markers,an improved RBF-based animating approach is raised to derive realistic facial animation.Further more,a pre-computing algorithm is presented to reduce computational cost for real-time simulation.The experiments proved that the method can not only map the MoCap data of one subject to diferent personalized faces but generate realistic facial animation.
